People are sleeping on Jackson big time. He not only has 8 goals and 3 assists in his last 10 Premier League matches but is quickly turning into one of the most dangerous strikers in the league at only 23. People mocking him last season failed to pay attention to his technical skill on the ball, his pace, ability to run into channels, terrific link up and hold up play, combativeness with opposing defenders, his chip on the shoulder attitude, and the fire he plays with. In all seriousness, he genuinely has the makings of being a top Premier League striker and looks like he’s going to prove a lot of people very wrong.

If Jackson was playing for Arsenal, Liverpool or Man United the media would've have praised him every week. He is better than Darwin Nunez, Hojlund, Zirkee, Kai Havertz, Jesus and Gakpo. And, he was only signed up for 32 million. That's less than half of Darwin Nunez and Kai Havertz transfer fees!!

Arsenal went from 5th in the league just three seasons to finishing second in the last two. Villa went from fighting relegation to playing CL football in just over a year. I'm not saying Chelsea will win the league but with the quality of the squad we have we're not far off challenging for the title.
João Felix was Chelsea's best attacking player in the 6 months he was on loan at Chelsea. He scored 4 PL goals in that time more than all our other forwards. The permanent move didn't happen because of his high wages and hogh transfer fees.

They won’t challenge for the title it’s too early but I do find it rather funny that people are suddenly noticing their squad depth when it’s been there a while but they had an unholy amount of injuries the past two season which everyone has ignored and has added to the disruption. It’s also funny that people disrespect Jackson and Renato veiga soo much, veiga cost about 10 million and can please 3-4 positions and is only 21 and a physical specimen

we've got quality but we're still a way off and working progress... The aim is to get back in the Champions league, win the conference league and try and win one of the 2 domestic cups. Anything else is a bonus.

Jackson has more goals after Haaland than any other striker in PL, Nkunku has been top GS in Bundesliga for two seasons and can easily bang 20+ goals each season. Palmer had more goals and assists than every player in PL. Caicedo can easily play for any team in PL (bang bang bang Liverpool wanted him yet he showed his middle finger to them). This Penanka guy doesn't understand football. Unlike Arsenal fans we Chelsea fans are not carried away and know we are not ready yet to compete for PL but but but we will win the PL for sure 100% before Arsenal does.

Let me be real for a second, towards the end of last season Chelsea were starting to look good under Pochettino & gelling. Then he controversially got sacked (don’t know why?!).
This season, I thought because of their momentum from last season that they could do well if they bring in the right coach & get their recruitment spot-on.
They then appoint Maresca, that’s when I thought Conference League is the best that they can hope for.
Not anymore, he has got them cooking & they could be potential dark horses. They’re playing good football under him, in the opening game against Manchester City they were a bit unlucky not to get anything more.

They had a whole new squad, the youngest ever till this year, the most injuries I think any team ever had in one season and still finished 5 points off top 4 on top of the cup progress they made. They’ve been steadily getting better this calendar year and they seem more built to challenge on all fronts, not just the cup cos the depth is ridiculous but time will tell. Winning the final or not last season doesn’t matter, the point is they’re way ahead of schedule cos no one expected that based on their form last season

They replaced their entire squad apart from 2 or 3 players from the 2021 season when they last won a trophy which means yes they bought players but they literally had to shift close to 30 players if not more over the course of the last 2 years so try not to fall for the headline, they needed to replace players who the last administration allowed their contract to run out and also replace the ones they sold like Mount, Havertz, Werner etc. stop repeating the headline and please apply some critical thinking, their net spend isn’t that crazy when you consider they literally built a new squad but I do agree that they now need to start showing the quality but with such a young squad, they’re looking dangerous

As a Chelsea fan we ain’t ready to compete for the league. We’re getting better though for sure. Top 4 would be a significant achievement, but Europa league is more likely. I think potentially our squad has it, but they’ve yet to find it. Love that Jamie gave us props today though, must of hurt.
I understand the need to temper expectation but after finishing 6th last season just a few points off top four, I'd say it's achievable.
Our form in the league has been great going back all the way to the second half of last season. We accrued the 4th most points behind the top three, none of Villa, Spurs or Utd are better than us right now.
Na top 4 is a must for Chelsea considering we finished 5 points of 4th last season with a new squad, an absurd amount of injuries and no clear identity while now we have a stronger squad and ridiculous depth. It shouldn’t even be a conversation for us Chelsea fans.
I’m not even saying it to put pressure on the team cos I believe the players know they’re capable of that and could’ve done that last season barring a couple of unfortunate results. This season for me is a comfortable top 4 and next season, we need to start challenging

@@two2oneb326 I hope we don’t collapse against top teams but honestly I wouldn’t mind if we had a few close calls or collapses against 3 or 4 top teams around us if we smash all the other teams we should cos that was our problem last season, having great games against the big teams and struggling to put the smaller teams away, so much that we turned games we could’ve won into draws and games we could’ve drawn to loses against teams below us but now I think our offence is so good that top teams will also be scared of us and our depth cos even if they’re managing to contain our entire offence, we can literally change the whole front line so yeah I have to stay optimistic 😂 I need us to be top 2 goal scoring teams this season

I’m a Chelsea supporter, and as much as I’m enjoying watching this team start to play a lot better than we have in recent years, Penant is right in saying that people need to calm down. We were actually better against palace in the 1-1 draw, than we were in the 0-1 away win at Bournemouth. The Bournemouth win was the first time in a long time that I’ve seen Chelsea win a difficult away fixture when we’ve played poorly, yet found a way to snatch the 3 points, the same way top sides do.
I truly believe we’re still ZERO chance at challenging for the title, but I think we’ll be battling Villa and Spurs for 4th place.
However, I think being more positive, if we stick with this manager, and keep majority of this squad together, they will continue to improve because of how young almost every single player is. The front players of Jackson, Palmer, Madueke, Sancho, Felix, Neto all under the age of 25. This could be really great to watch if they all stay at Chelsea and continue to get their chemistry levels higher and all get better as players as they head towards their potential. Even Caicedo, Enzo and Lavia are all quality players who are still really young. Give this manager and squad another 18 months together, and I think you’ll see a top side

Great result against Wolves and West Ham, but if you are going to be Title Contenders, you have to be beating all those Teams and getting at least draws against Man City, Utd, Liverpool, Spurs, Arsenal, Villa and I cannot see Chelsea getting anything against Man City, Liverpool, or Arsenal.
