Great videos. Have you ever thought of doing an Interior Stripout video? I know every vehicle will be different but a generic 'where-to-start/how to' vid would be awesome.

I remember filling the trunk lid of my 1968 Cadillac with expanding foam.
That’s a big trunk lid, took a lot of foam.
But it made a huge difference.

Not just for music but so important for restorations of older vehicles

sounds great Mark...however, a lot of us don't have the time or patience to rip every single panel and chair out of our car. I recently had to remove the rear seat and carpet in my WRX due to a water/cooler accident and upon doing so remembered how much of a pain getting to all of the metal parts actually is. Of course, while I was in/under there, and after everything dried, I put some sound deadener down. But to go any further and remove the front seats, center console, and 8 door jam/pillar panels would have required at least another day's work to include putting in (and cutting to shape) the deadener. I'll stick to the doors. Cheers.

Well, there are people that can do it for you. In my country price is from 800 to 1400 euro for all of sound/vibration treatment. (roof, floor, doors, trunk, everything)

If you want better results you gotta work harder than you feel like

@@matthewcoulter3991...it's less about the (hard) work, and more about the time involved/needed. I'm not the guy making a YT video showing how to remove the interior from his STi and totally covering every square in of metal from the back of the trunk to the front footwells over a 3-day period. Kudos to those who want to, but that part of my life is in the past. I'll do the doors, but leave the floor, under the carpet as is...

Hey Guys, Qucik question with regards to sound damping sheets. I have already done sound damping to all the 4 doors and the boot. My question now is, would adding sound damping to the floor provide significant reduction in road noise or just very marginal. It is a bit hard for me to decide if its worth spending another $700 to $800 (beacuase that wat my installer has quoted me)

I have a 2018 Volkswagen Polo Beats, and the sound system isn't half bad I guess... But the speakers look cheap, with some paper cones and no sound treatment in the doors.
So as soon as the winter is over here in Norway, I will upgrade the speakers and pad the doors with some deadening material.
I have some sweedish made DLS 6.5 inch speakers and tweeters from a previous car lying around, those will hopefully do a better job :-)

I mean i like this, but except for someone who’s gonna totally rebuild his car or someone who’s going to be getting competitive sound gear for db contests on car shows. Who’s gonna take out the entire car interior just for good audio? I mean all the door cards AND carpet??
No one will actually do this just for quality audio i think.. i mean just isolating the doors is a good idea since in most cars the door cards have to be taken out to change the speakers so they’re already taken off but the whole carpet, seats, dashboard and all the trim? A little excessive if you ask me..

Lmao, I did it, butyl rubber over nearly 100% of the floor, 4 doors, and trunk
I'm 17, did it over the summer as a fun project.
Was it worth it? Idk, hardly remember what the car sounded before.
It definitely keeps people from hearing music from outside, so it's doing something
