This worked perfectly. I’m sad to say I’ve had this brush for years and didn’t know how to clean it. I would just take out the hair but this is pristine. All the gunk and oil and greasiness is gone! Thanks.
@widadgazola3037 I think it's good. However, it does get super hot, which can easily damage your hair. I don't use it very often because of that. I do like to pack it for traveling and for a super smooth look.
Omg you ma'am are a Godsent , your video came just in time.I made the mistake of blowdrying my hair with all my wash day hair products in it, to say the brush was disgusting after is an understatement. Had no clue how to wash it, was even thinking of buying a new one. When I saw your video i decided to try it and if it gets spoiled🤷🏽♀️was gna get a new one anyway. Your way worked like a charm🤗 you saved my brush, and i now blowdry with just liquid live-in conditioner and a light oil(keeps my brush clean) thank you sooooo much💕😍
I got a used one from Goodwill for only $8 it has hair in it and I really need to clean it. Would you have bought a used one for $8? Any other people's opinion?
It's pretty easy to take apart to remove the brush. You pry back the pink sections at the top and there's a phillips screw on either side. Then you gently pry the black sections slightly away from the brush head and pull the brush out.
THANK U!!!!!! Simple and easy instructions… idk why I was overthinking how to clean this thing🤦🏽♀️I used the blow dryer to speed up the process 😆 it works like brand new ❤🎉🎉🎉
Very nice. My blow dry brush is full of product I don’t even know why I only use a leave in and heat protectant. Annoying. Was wondering how to clean this thing! Thank you
It worked!! I’m a risk taker and turn it on while hanging it upside to dry immediately after. But after draining out the water then towel drying 😭 *DISCLAIMER don’t try this a home. Just because I wasn’t electrocuted means you won’t be😭
I only use it on my wigs and I’m finally going to use it on my own hair and just realized how dirty it was lol I’ve had it for like 4 years now Thanks for this video!
This makes sense to me. I looked at mine (Conair) and there’s nothing electronic in the brush. So, after watching this I found a one quart canning jar. I set it in the jar to check that was deep enough and the handle would rest against the jar rim. Then I filled it with warm water and left enough room for displacement from the brush, checked that, adjusted the water level. Then removed the brush, added some shampoo (about a teaspoon or less). Finally, I left it to soak for about an hour or so. The buildup on the brush simply dissolved. I carefully rinsed it and shook it. After I dumped the dirty water and rinsed the jar, I set the brush back in, and I’m now waiting for it to dry enough so I can set it on a towel to dry overnight. I have no reason to think it won’t turn back on and blow warm/hot air.
@QUICKandEASY Where do I buy that black tool you talk about in the beginning of the video? Also, do I use that before wetting and shampooing the brush? That part wasn’t clear to me…
Hi, I have the 2.0 version of this brush. The one where the brush head comes completely off. Could you possibly look at it and see if that one can be cleaned under water?
I just finish washed mine and I let it sit and I dried it with another blow dryer I splashed it to see if there’s water still and there’s none so should I use it ? I left it for an hour and a half

a used one? Hell no. When it comes to hair tools you can get a lot of conditions and diseases from other people's scalp. You don't know what they used it for so no ma'am
@@malaika3231 do you turn off the water in the shower when you are soaping up? If not, then it's the same thing. For the sake of the tutorial and the fact that old faucet is very finicky, yes, I leave the water running. Good for the drain too to have hot water running into it for a while.
That's probably for liability reasons so people don't get electrocuted. However, I've done it exactly as I show in the video and my brush is still working like new and now looks like new :D
Did it! Just finished! Totally clean! Thank you! I used the blow dryer to dry mine! It works beautifully 🥰🥰
I'm so glad it helped! Still have mine and still working like new.

You’re the REAL MVP for this!! 🏆 thanks!!!
I thought the same thing as you and figured someone had to have done this before! Thank you! ❤

Did you find out if it can be done ?

Can you please do this with the 2.0? I have that one and I don’t know how to clean it😅
Wondering if Would this method work with the lange dryer brush?
Ur amazing! Thank u for this vid, i had so many questions and u answered them all 🤗
Put dishwashing liquid instead of shampoo it is cheaper
Fantastic instructions! Thank you.
how to fix bristles on hair dryer brush? it got ruined
It really works, thanks so much! 😃
THANK YOU!!!
Thank you for this 😊♥️
just did it but scared to test it
just be sure it is completely dry
On mine the pink tips fell off, any suggestions on a diy fix?
You can coat the tips with a bit of nail polish and let dry
Why do I have to brush only one way?
I’m assuming to avoid water spraying into the motor

I would. If you go to salons they use the same tools on everyone.

@@beautifulwonderful4391 as long as you cleaned it, it’s fine 😊
I just bought one from Savers for $4.99 🥳Not the grossest thing I’ve ever done😂
As someone who is terrified of this I would just use hair oil or spray and a tooth brush it might take longer but my anxiety just can't 😭😂
I feel like I’ll get clumsy and ruin it 😭
Haha I understand. I have tried it and as long as you keep it held in the upside down position and no water gets in the neck you'll be fine.
Putting a hairdryer in a sink full of water is foul 😭
Oh my, that's a load of water you let run away when the brush wasn't even under the tap
Cringing watching that
ok

The only trigger point in this video was the WATER running unnecessarily. Ugh! Americans!

People are saying a lot abt a dryer but your hair is WET when you dry it so. There has to be a way to clean it
It say don’t soak it in water
Total waste vital commodity water
I messed mine up because of this video 🥲
You didn't follow the instructions. I did and other people did and it worked.
