Your monotone excitement is hilarious to me lol
lol. Keeping it contained!
Hey, just came across your channel, and am thankful, as there is not much out there for fixing/rebuilding the DSMs. I am currently working on a 93 Talon, and am wondering where you buy your OEM parts in Canada? TIA!
@@sgeorge5764 since RTM has been selling off its inventory there is nothing much in Canada. I use the USA dealers now.
Thank for the interest in my channel!
I currently have a couple of leaks to deal with. One around the timing cover and one around the turbo oil return line. Got some parts from RTM and Rock Auto. I'm actually going to replace the oil pan as mine got a bit beat up. Nice to see a DSMer on here. You are in Saskatchewan Right?
I hate leaks. It’s a challenge on these cars to keep them from happening.
Yes, I am located in SK.
Hey there. I was told about your channel by Ziggy at RTM Racing. It's too bad he is winding down. Anyway nice Channel. I got a 2G myself that I have owned since 98 (second owner). Nice to see someone else in Canada still into DSMs.
Good on you owning one that long. Yes, the DSM community is quite sad Ziggy had to close up shop. We were lucky to have him for all the years he served us well.
Yup, such a great guy to deal with. Quality products and all within Canada.@@SlippingTime
There's a lot of us left, but not many OG's like you guys left. I'm so glad Dean made this channel, nice to see a local guy putting out content. I'd love to on my DSM's but I dont have the time.
2:37 no leaks are common for me Any leak is rare for me since I’ve had the car 19 years 28 in a total with my family but of course it’s also extensively modified. 14:04 gotta make a video showing people how to restore those trim pieces. 30:09 it’s clearly gray they later introduced black and a swapped over to them when I found out. 33:39 the car needs completely cleaned re-sprayed clearcoat primer, wet sanded the whole 9 yards.
Good for you not having any leaks. I hate leaks.
All good points as well.
DSM4life!
Yep!
Hey Dean.....where'd you go? I need some more DSM content man!
Haha. Busy with work projects plus I have my Comet stripped down working on it for a big event. The time crunch to get it done doesn’t allow me to video unfortunately. I will be doing videos again for sure. Thanks for your patience.
@@SlippingTime Aaah Ok I just didn't know if you'd decided to stop making videos or not.
@@robbalinski1606 I haven’t stopped for sure, just delayed at the moment.
Did you get those lines as a kit? Where if so?
Yes I did. Unfortunately it’s from RTM Racing who is going out of business 😞.
Figured as much since you're in Canada
