One family is broken by the loss of their loved one and one family is joyous for the second chance their loved one has. Prayers to all and thankful for the Troopers!

Ik the feeling, my aunt was in the hospital and they called med flight for her but she passed before it got here, they sent someone who was the dad of a classmate, sadly he didn’t make it all the way through the flight, but he got a better chance.
I think that everyone who donates their organs is a hero. So they made their lost loved one into a hero.
Anyone else catch that the trooper floored it as soon as he heard that the recipient was already on the table open? Much respect to everyone who made this happen.

"I am YaH; that is my Name! I will not yield my glory to another or my praise to idols.”

Did you ever get to know any of the people she saved?
@@daphneorebaugh4015, unfortunately no. I was about 9-10 years old.
@@YaHsServent No. The nurses and doctors safed the patient. And not your imaginary friend in the sky.
Jeepers, the second trooper was bookin' it! Proud of Minnesotans who move over for emergency vehicles - it's Minnesota Nice in action. Glad to hear the transplant was successful!
I like the jeepers lol the trooper said that too
It's funny you say that cuz I was sitting here thinking God you can't get those Minnesota drivers to give up that left lane to save your life
@@Rusty_NickleMinnesota drivers are the worst.
@@Rusty_Nicklewas just gonna say the same thing. I drive I 80-90 about 3 times a year from New York to the pacific north west and Minnesota is one of the worst at left lane camping.
i swear people talk about Georgia state police booking it in there cars but there is nothing like pulling over to the shoulder when a trouper is a ways behind you and they fly past going 150 or 160 you see it more outside of the city’s when the roads open up. each trouper covers like 300 hundred square miles in some parts of the state and yet they always seem to be everywhere
My dad received a heart transplant just over 12 years ago. It's amazing to me what it takes for a transplant to happen. The donor's family making the sometimes difficult decision to donate the organs, the what seems like endless waiting on the recipient's part for a heart to become available, the transplant teams coordinating everything so the family doesn't have to worry about anything other than their loved one. We're grateful to still have my dad with us, and we are still in contact with the donor family.
Is your dad named Gregg by chance?
@@ericwiese7479no
Do they pay the donar family anymore or do yall get the heart free? Minus paying for the transplant

Not all heroes wear capes .
Amen 🎉
Correct some wear their underpants on the outside too😂
Some move faster than others like flying a life flight helicopter. They must be more heroic than those who drive slower, like using cars for transportation. These are only itty bitty heroes.

if people knew there is a heart in the squad car they would move over quicker. but every person probably thinks they are getting pulled over and in the panic just dont swerve over quickly.
I was a member of the Westchester County Parkway Police Department in the mid 1970s. One of our parkways was called the Saw Mill River Parkway, which runs from New York north to the next county, Putnam county. Probably once a month, we were requested to transport human organs from NYC, to get them to Albany New York. We would meet a New York City officer, then race north to meet a state trooper at the Putnam county line, where the troopers would run them to Albany. It was always something that we took with a heavy amount of duty. I never found out exactly how long it took from hospital to hospital, but our thirty or forty miles were covered very fast, lights and siren going. It always made me feel proud to be allowed to participate.
The saw mill is super bendy! Racing up that must've taken skill.
@@johnjohnsonsvideoarchive6883 it never failed to tune us up. The honor was great enough to push us to our limits.
Great story and thanks for the amazing things you have done for all of us! Why can’t they make an exemption and just have one trooper go the whole way?
It would be cool to be the recipient and be able to have this footage of the journey your new heart took to get to you! Great job to everyone involved.
It's things like this that really makes you cry with joy..... the troopers dedication is outstanding !!!!!
A special hug to the family of the donor. To think of others in your time of grief must be especially difficult, but extremely caring. I’m sorry for your loss. 😔

I can only imagine what a profound gift it is to be involved in bringing new life to a family who have waited so long for a miracle.. 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Wow that was amazing to get the heart to it's destination and lovely to see the recipient doing well and able to see the troopers that helped. RIP to the person who was the donor.
Just think about how this was done
How many people were involved for one life to be saved
Then think about the human achievement, from the roads being built to the cars used to the practices
Centuries of advancement (albeit mostly one century) so one person can live
Go from heart failure (or whatever it is) to life
Truly an incredible thing to witness
St Marys, Mary Brigh 5b was my home this time last year. My family will always remember all of the wonderful people that were in the unit at that time.
It was the many “oh, jeepers” from the trooper as he drove…just love his awe at it all.
One of the few times you'll see a police car with 3 heros in it at the same time.
My niece died in May 2023 suddenly of a brain hemorrhage while I was in a car with her. By the time we realized she was in distress and got her to the hospital there wasn't much they could do. Her heart was donated to someone else at a different hospital. I'm imagining it was a serious effort like this to get it there in time.

I have been a proud organdonor for close to 40 years now.. I belive in that if i can help others with anything i would rest in peace when that day comes
Taking the word in a heartbeat to a whole new level
I wish we had GPS info. I'm curious how he managed his speed. How do you decide what's prudent when every minute counts but of course an accident would be disaster. I'm VERY proud how many people pulled over WELL in advance. Good Minnesotans! ◡̈
I was thinking that as well. It would've been cool to have some gps data on the screen
Judging by road stripes and other traffic (variable) looks like he’s between 100-120 for most of it some instances where it looks like he was pushing closer to 130
Average highway speed was 114 miles an hour. The 64-mile trip started at Pine Bend Oil Refinery and ended at exit 55B on Highway 14. Total time 33 minutes.
Incredible to think about how many people were involved in getting this Heart ♥️ Transported that far on a limited timeframe and to think that they literally have someone’s Life in their hands !!! No one asked who made this decision to Donate their Heart to whoever would need it. No one asked who was receiving this gift of life or what kind of person they were , it was a team of people that were more than willing to help and truth be told it probably helped them to be a part of this. Great Video
Good job troopers!!! And thank you for everyone who donates your organs! I bet this person is very thankful!!! Hope they live a long life!!
It takes nerves of steel to drive at those speeds for a long period of time and a lot of trust by the passengers in it. Good driving! Good cause! Great video
Trooper: Is the patient ready?
Doctor: Oh ya they are open.
Car’s engine jumped to 8 grand.
This is to cool. When they ask why you do it. This is why!
Got a time stamp on that? Thanks
You made a good point about the ambulance thing about how people don't move think they should just get pushed out of the way by the ambulance or fire truck. But also thank you for making sure you both had seatbelts on when you were going over the speed limit legally
Last week I saw a firetruck and ambulance get stuck at a red light because the people refused to drive through the red light. The firetruck blasted his horn for a solid 3 minutes and no one would move out of its way.
@@QargZer That is bizarre
@@thejanusproject32 especially because everyone at the intersection that was blocking the firetruck and ambulance were facing the direction of the fire and they could see all the smoke.
Thank you everyone involved, especially the soul who was selfless enough to save another life after losing their own
Received a heart at Mayo. Incredible blessing. There are no words.
What most people fail to understand is that they don't just transport the heart but the surgeon too.
The same surgeon who removed the heart will also implant it.
Otherwise, a fast bike would be faster.
One thing that is NOT done in Europe is jumping in another car when crossing a border. (it takes time and time is at a premium in cases like this)
This was so awesome to watch! Great job, MSP! So glad the recipient is alive and well.

Such a good feel video :)
That's so cool. What an amazing thing!
Yea god bless to all involved. I pray to God I'm never in a situation where minutes matter & if so I only can pray & hope there's people like this operating in those minutes.
Crazy! I think the troopers were all at least going in the range of 70 to 85 mph. I've tested it before that if you go at 75 mph, you will drive 1 mile in about 55 seconds. Twin Cities to Rochester is about 70 miles which would take 40 minutes to get there. For the state troopers to stay calm and kept their cars safe is definitely a testimony to their driving skills. Only time I've seen someone go 75 miles in 20 minutes was a motorcycle rider in Colorado who rode 120 mph from CO Spring to Denver. I hope the person who received the heart watch this video and thank the troopers as well for his life today.
A user posted some data in a reply above. 64 miles, 33 minutes, average speed 114 mph.
I’m guessing it’s closer to well over 100mph. Since the state speed limit is 70 and some will undoubtedly go faster and he’s passing then likes they are standing still.
One user stated based on the white lines they were going up to 130 at times. Avg speed at 114. The second car was also going about 20 mph faster on avg
I couldn't tell what kind of car they were driving but like 100 mph average if its a suv. If they are driving the challengers or the chargers, then i can see them hitting 114 mph average. But for sure they had to be in the range of 75 to 100 mph.
That motorcycle rider was consistently at 120 mph to ride 75 miles in 20 minutes. It is easier for him since he's on a bike, can weave in and out of traffic and don't have to worry about uplift. Look him up on youtube.
