- Here is a beautiful, lightly used Ayotte drum set. This set is from the Ray Ayotte era. These drums are sized 16x20", 8x10", 9x12", 14x14", and 6.5x14". There are some small cosmetic markings from light use, but overall these drums are in great shape. Their wood hoops bring out the warmth of their maple shells nicely, without restricting bearing edge contact. The bass drum is not drilled for a tom mount - very clean! Steve’s comments: Ray Ayotte made some fabulous drums and this set is from the era when Ray controlled everything. The shells sound great, hardware is terrific, and the wood hoops that Ray was so famous for create an “airy” and a more “organic” sound to the drums. The sets from Ray’s early years are highly sought after and this one is an excellent example. Great craftsmanship and terrific sound.

Canada's best secret drum company.. some of the best drums I've ever tried.
No secret. Ray Ayotte era drums are some of the best sounding drums ever produced. DW killers 😁
There’s never been anything special about Ayotte in my opinion... not trying to be mean here, but let’s call it what it really is. There are other Canadian companies really doing unique work, Ebenor percussion is definitely one of them. Great vid and playing.
Ever play high end sonor drums? highly satisfying!
I have always and will forever call them 'aay-yo-tea' drums...because it sounds cool.
Had the chance to my friends dads set of these a few times. Without a doubt the nicest drums I’ve had the chance to play
I like the high tuning for the snare and mounted toms, middle tuning for the floor tom, and the low tuning for the bass drum.
Gorgeous kit. Love the finish.
Great drums, steel hoops, wood hoops, always fun to play. Also the Ayotte spec-built Taiwanese drumsmiths had fabulous tone and quality.
Heard an Ayotte kit years ago. It stood out from all the other high end kits. I’d love one in my collection.
Awesome drums!
Nice job Noah!
I'm speechless
Man, do I live this set or do I LOVE this set. Whomever tuned up those drums has an incredible set of ears. And you are a fantastic musician, Mr. Drummer 🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁
I love it
i think joey waronker is partial to these. in 2015, i bought a set of these from maxwell drums. they were wonderful.
Matt Chamberlain played these in the 90's. I think he sounded best then. Someday I'll have a set.
BNL's Tyler Stewart used them as well, he also sounded best on them. I saw them a few years ago, and have seen him on his Ludwigs, and they just don't sound as good.
😎👍🇨🇦🇺🇸🥁Noah!!! Good drums, eh?
end up swapping mine to a guy with a DW kit and a hefty bank account because his check didn't bounce
