Shay is the cobbler boss, but my son in law is the dutch oven master. One thing I do know about all of our cast iron, if it's rough cast on the cooking surface, it's a real pain and stuff tends to stick. I sand all of our "new" cast iron to a smooth surface then season them. And you're right, bluebell fixes any cobbler! Goob job!

We use our dutch over all the time when camping, one of my tricks is I use a temperature gun to get it to the right temp and hold it there.
The temp gun is handy but what if the battery is dead? What I have learned so far is that less on the bottom is better.
