Red Iron Framing Is Almost Complete on Our East Texas Barndo Build!!
We are building an East Texas Barndominium! We have decided to get the heck out of the big city and move some place quiet, what better a place than in the Post Oak Savannah on East Texas.
Out Barndo is a metal ski structure over a steel and wood frame.
The primary structure is build from Red iron and has been welded together.

Insulating A Portable Storage Building In The Texas Heat In the heat of a Texas summer I set out to beat that heat by insulating our portable storage building. I opted to use polystyrene foam board that has a radiant barrier on one side. Our hope is that this will greatly reduce the heat gain in this portable building. It was a really hot job insulating a portable storage building in the middle...

I accidently stumbled upon your channel, and I am so glad I did. I have a metal garage/workshop that I am trying to clean out so I can frame it in and make a home inside it. I am in north Texas, about 35 miles NW of Dallas, and I understand all too well about trying to do anything in this heat. But soon it will be October, and the weather will be perfect for working in it. Thoughts of October weather is what is getting me thru the hot days... stay cool and safe and I'll catch ya on the next one.
