How did you blend the old paint and new paint in the masked area towards the front of the car? Did you put new paint over old paint or did you blend it with the clear coat?
okay I'm a spray painter/bodywork tech and I'm not a hater, or anything like that. but that filler isn't feathered out enough for a start, he puts way too much in to begin with, and it looks edgy let alone what it may feel like! and he's using that spray whatever it may be way too much, there isn't any real need for it? I'm assuming its degreaser? and when he is using his da to sand down the filler edges it's done so unevenly. surely I'm not the only one who notices this?
I agree..as a paint sprayer with 30 years experience, including 3 as a smart repairer..there's far too much filler, which then extends past the sanded area. Another concern, why make the paint job so big if you're using aerosols? Get it in the booth and spray it!
There was no need for fillernin the first place, the plastic can be manipulated with 120 grit discs and feathered out, any decent primer filler will catch the rest
@@lannieschafroth6814 some primer company's say they come pre mixed with plastic primer agent but i take that with a pinch of salt and always plastic prime before had, unless i forget when the rain is battering around me and im stressed out 😅
even new cars from factory have same and that is beacuse the panel is metal and bumper is plastic. The paint behave diffrent depend on the surface . So its not a error from this guy.
theres wasnt even a dent, but you used 2 ounces of body filler....why? you just needed primer.its like building new walls before you paint your living room...makes zero sense
Prime example on how not to do a job let alone a smart repair, the primer should have been kept well minimum and masking should have been done thoroughly prior to sanding down.

Always try first with some rubbing compound and wax to remove scratches. It usually works very well! I do not recommend painting with spray can, because the result may look even worse than with the scratches.
the spraycan is divided into two parts inside, one for the lack and one for the hardener, when you push a pin in, it allows the two components to mix, that is why he was shaking the spraycan.
I don‘ t think, this is „smart repair“. Smart means a small part, what is necessary. Painting have a bumper, for a little scratch, that‘s not smart. Even if it looks good.
I dont understand why he put all that stuff on 4:30 and then sanded it later and then applied red paint...whats the point of putting all that plastic primer and black paint and then sanding it down ?
There are many components to getting a good result. One resource I found that succeeds in merging these is the Magic Painter Method (check it out on google) definately the most incredible course that I've heard of. Check out this extraordinary site.
That's exactly how not to smart repair. Loads of filler in a tiny scrape. You could of feathered it out. Spot primered. And definitely not just aerosol. Completely rubbish. Oh yeah I've 17 years experience in the smart repair trade

Wow, ibland är det vackert att se ett duktigt hantverk utföras.
Min metod: 1 rengör med fönsterputs 2. Sandpappra 3. Primer 4. Lackfärg två tunna lager 5. Sandpapper 600 6. Lackfärg 1 tunt lager 7. Två tunna lager clearcoat 8. Sandpapper 1200 8. två tunna lager clearcoat. 9. Sandpapper 3000 10. Polish
Nice Audi and nice work.
Very excellent. You are a professional
Nice job 👍🏻
Good job
The camera always lies.
Snyggt
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😍 good job
hi did this because otherwise you cannot blend in the color if you spray only the small part, you gonna see it if you spray only the scratches part
Ur ett professionellt perspektiv var detta en dålig lagning. Inte hållbart långsiktigt och slarvigt gjort. Men visst, bra marknadsföring.
It's a great job!!
Looks like duct tape almost. I have a waterproof tape that’s kind of like it. You need a knife to cut the stuff. Super clean lines.
Bra jobbat!

@@jabber67 Next question, if that is plastic did the paint cans have flex agent in them? And yes that was waaay too much filler.

Nice the video thenk you
bra jobben .perfect bare next colega
Fantastiskt bra video!
To be completely honest. The colors do not match. The sprayed area looks a bit darker than the regular automotive paint.
Victor thats called shadow moron, the light is at the front of the car ofcourse the side wil look darker
Nice work. But you can see at 6:28 that the shade is not the same anymore. Still, great job.

depends on what your expectations are
And he ended up charging $800🤷♂️
what is the code of color red ??
Professional.
Great job but that was anything but a spot repair...Title should say: How to repaint front bumber.

2K clearcoat in the spraycan? Interrest...

o jprdl. nie bylo jeszcze polerki w sprayu?
Here in philippines ,,just tiny scrathe ,,i can finish in half an hour
My back is hurting me....lift that car up!!! :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)
I am no body man I would have not sanded down so far to use minimal filler and not spray half the bumper cover blend new paint sand and buff done ?
Well, that is how we do it and the result is excellent.
Great music to accompany the great work. Who's is the band?
Rookie !!
Not exactly a rookie :)
thanks for this great video. do you have this video in English sir ?
Thank you. Not in english yet. Maybe we will translate the video in to english after the summer.
Si nota lá differenza e piu chiaro

2 much joob
What the he'll are you doing.its a small scratch
Should have DA'd the lot out, plastic 1k primer and a 2k high build.... ready for paint, easy 👍🏻
I dont understand why he put all that stuff on 4:30 and then sanded it later and then applied red paint...whats the point of putting all that plastic primer and black paint and then sanding it down ?
BL driver the black paint is for spotting uneven surfaces
Or I think it should work as a type of coal u use to apply on the surface to spot inperfections
Dramatic effects. Hahaha
Guide coat then sand with palm of hand ? .. comon :-/ no blocks around ? nice job tho "palm of hand sand" must be a thing only the pro`s do :D

Anfänglich
Way to many steps.. i can do this job in 45 mins paint and all.
Good for you!
