    How did you blend the old paint and new paint in the masked area towards the front of the car? Did you put new paint over old paint or did you blend it with the clear coat?

    hi did this because otherwise you cannot blend in the color if you spray only the small part,you gonna see it if you spray only the scratches part

    Ur ett professionellt perspektiv var detta en dålig lagning. Inte hållbart långsiktigt och slarvigt gjort. Men visst, bra marknadsföring.

    okay I'm a spray painter/bodywork tech and I'm not a hater, or anything like that. but that filler isn't feathered out enough for a start, he puts way too much in to begin with, and it looks edgy let alone what it may feel like! and he's using that spray whatever it may be way too much, there isn't any real need for it? I'm assuming its degreaser? and when he is using his da to sand down the filler edges it's done so unevenly. surely I'm not the only one who notices this?

    • @casualwitness
      @casualwitness 5 років тому +1

      I agree..as a paint sprayer with 30 years experience, including 3 as a smart repairer..there's far too much filler, which then extends past the sanded area. Another concern, why make the paint job so big if you're using aerosols? Get it in the booth and spray it!

    • @jabber67
      @jabber67 5 років тому +2

      There was no need for fillernin the first place, the plastic can be manipulated with 120 grit discs and feathered out, any decent primer filler will catch the rest

    • @lannieschafroth6814
      @lannieschafroth6814 5 років тому

      @@jabber67 Next question, if that is plastic did the paint cans have flex agent in them? And yes that was waaay too much filler.

    • @jabber67
      @jabber67 5 років тому

      @@lannieschafroth6814 some primer company's say they come pre mixed with plastic primer agent but i take that with a pinch of salt and always plastic prime before had, unless i forget when the rain is battering around me and im stressed out 😅

      even new cars from factory have same and that is beacuse the panel is metal and bumper is plastic. The paint behave diffrent depend on the surface . So its not a error from this guy.

    Prime example on how not to do a job let alone a smart repair, the primer should have been kept well minimum and masking should have been done thoroughly prior to sanding down.

    • @marvelousyang

      Wenhao Wu nej då använder du vanlig primer som han la på efter plastprimern. Plastprimern är bara till för att få färgen att fästa bättre på plast

    Always try first with some rubbing compound and wax to remove scratches. It usually works very well! I do not recommend painting with spray can, because the result may look even worse than with the scratches.

    2K clearcoat in the spraycan? Interrest...

    • @Spyda580
      @Spyda580 6 років тому

      the spraycan is divided into two parts inside, one for the lack and one for the hardener, when you push a pin in, it allows the two components to mix, that is why he was shaking the spraycan.

    I don‘ t think, this is „smart repair“. Smart means a small part, what is necessary. Painting have a bumper, for a little scratch, that‘s not smart. Even if it looks good.
