Being in an area with very good cellular service in my area, on a Verizon network (phone), I’ve never had a problem with service with the Render. I will further state that with other cameras in the past, those cameras had a tough time picking up service. The Render has 4 bars consistently. That’s why I’ll buy more in the next few months.
Thanks for the video. We have used the omni directional antennas and got maybe 1 bar. Definitely helps but I was hoping for more. Might try one of these directional antennas, if I can get over sticker shock. Great info provided in the video.
Never guess... with the camera in setup you can see the signal strength icons. Rotate the antenna while you watch the signal strength, stop where it’s the highest.
How do they work in mountains being in WV I can use cell cameras on maybe the top 1/3 of the ridge but say I need it lower will it boost the signal enough to attach to the service I have a couple hundred yards straight up the mountain?
We don't recommend using Cellular Trail Cameras with any less than 2 bars of service - The Booster antenna won't give you a boost from 0 bars to 2 bars. There has to be signal there for it to boost so If there's no signal there they won't work. We do have a standard return policy of 30 days if you wanted to attempt it!
I have an industrial booster antenna one kilometer away it gave me cell phone service were I didn't have any before vary good signal by the way but this booster will not work on my cell camera the cell camera is not recognizing the the booster tower can help explain why thanks
My cabin is weird. I have no service one minute and can text later. Then no service. A few minutes later I can make a call. Sometimes I can even send a photo but hardly ever. I put up a booster and pointed it towards the closest tower which is about 2 miles away. I have Verizon service in a Verizon dominated area. The booster did not do much good. Very frustrating and I don't understand why the same location is not consistent. Any ideas anyone ? The other carriers do not work at all.
Where I hang my camera the signal ( on my camera) fluctuates between 2 and 4 Bars. The camera still sends pic at 2 bars but I noticed at night the bars seem to go up. I believe high traffic hours for the providers make a difference. I've also heard weather conditions will affect it.
There’s a few phone apps that can provide you with more info on your situation. You need to start with finding out what bands/frequencies are there. Second you need to measure the signal with a dBi measurement. We have another video that talks about all these things.
Depends on the sku. Inventory updates and news are typically sent out in our newsletter. That’s the best place to stay current with what we have going on.
I have 204 acres in West Texas. My game cams in the canyon does not get reception. I have reception at a higher level that is about a 1000 ft rise. Would this booster be able to help me?
This antenna is an Exodus product specifically for Verizon 4G and LTE bands. Retail is around $60 and will be available on our website sometime next week.

I've had similar experience. Other brands that didn't work at all. Same tree same height the render sends pictures reliably.
You guys are killing it.
Thanks again Chad. I appreciate all the information you share with us on how these devices work.
Keeping it real.
Thanks Paul. Happy New Year!

Hi Dean! Thanks for the interest. These will be available on our website sometime next week and will retail around $60.
Love your video!Could give link of booster antenna so i can buy one?
I have a Tactacam, will this antenna work with it? Will the coax connection be the same or will I have to have an adapter?
What's the name of that antenna?
Great idea and video. Any plans to get your cameras on the ATT network??
Possibly something coming...
How do you know witch direction the tower is? Or just guess and hope it write

Where can I buy these antenna boosters
Will there be a longer cord available , or the ability to couple multiple cords ?
You can make custom cables with RG58 and fittings.... all available at most hardware stores.
What is the typical dbi of a stock trail camera antenna versus these directional antennas?

The SIM card may not be compatible with the band of signal the booster is boosting
@@ExodusOutdoorGear ok thanks can I get a compatible sim card for this tower
He moved that antenna pretty easily. Is there a way to tighten it up after the max signal/best direction is discovered?
Yes, just tighten down the nuts on the U bolts. We left them loose to show that you can rotate to find the source of the cell signal.
👍🏻 okay

@@jaredglass2562 both of those statements are accurate.

dose it work on muddy trail cams
Will this work with the stealth cam fusion x
Are you guys (Exodus) going to restock on your "out of stock" items, sometime soon?

What booster is that? Curious on the cost as the booster we use at the cabin was a bit pricey.

I bought one and it needs 110 power, these do not?
What is link to buy that antenna?

Thanks
They still dont tell you that Reolink cameras dont work properly if its getting low signal!
It would be a better video if you actually would give db of signal strength. Bars are very arbitrary thus not good info on actual boost.
Seems like alot for a trail camera.
It's worth it. I'm a believer.
