I've had 4 cell cameras out for over a year on the same Energizer lithium batteries. I get well over 100 pics per camera every month. Some get 200-300 per month. I;m using Spypoint Cell cams.
Good job young man.. New to cell cams this year, love it so far! Exodus Render all the way..l will have another one soon. Give Jeff Sturgis credit for my purchases. (He's the bomb) that means good Jeff! Lol
There's no reason to waste your money on lithiums if you're getting 10 months on alkaline. 12 alkaline AAs cost $3.50 on amazon. 12 lithiums cost $30. I've got over 2 months on all 7 of my moultrie edge cell cams using 16 AAs that cost me $5. You won't see me using lithiums...
Nice video but had to laugh at one big mistake is paying 5 bucks for data and only needing 3. After buying property, a truck, side by side, rifle, crossbow, bow, ammo, bolts and arrows, camo clothes, tree stands, food plots, chainsaws on and on not to mention the actual cameras , batteries, SD cards and solar packs, gas money it’s like your grandpa telling you you are stupid because you didn’t ask the car dealer for a free hat when you bought your 60 k pickup. It’s not stupid, just funny.
Thanks for the info as I've had problems with signal and battery (high energy) drainage. I am ordering a solar panel today. I like your bino harness. Who makes it???
Thank you not a hunter but own a rural residential lot on 4 acres. Lots of deer and other wildlife. We sadly have a neighbor who is trying to set the conditions to take as much as an acre of our land thru adverse possession. We need to catch them in the act of trespassing but wifi is a problem and trail cams havent caught them. These folks are more skittish than deer actually in avoiding getting caught. They come out before we get up and enter behind the trees and their house is near the property line so they ave closer proximity to this art of our property. We bought a cellular pan tilt cam but are waiting to see where we can place it without them seeing us do it. Not easy. Our trees are all narrow width or scrub woods or dead trees that wildlife use. We have used a pole to mount a few old non-cellular cams which seems to work but our cellular pan tilt has a solar panel and is too big and wont fit. Any suggestions for covert mounting a pan tilt cellular (Reo-Keen) withuot getting seen from 100 feet away? We need some evidence to take legal action. Oddly they have cameras on their house which catch our every movement (no idea what kind).
@@dustins8448 I have used them forever. I’ve never used a lithium battery in any camera till this year. I tried them in one of my cameras. All of my cameras stay out year round. Zero issues

how do you keep the deer from seeing the cam and solar panel. this is my second year using a cell cam with solar panel i get one pic of a nice buck one time of maybe two it seems like they see panel and never comes back
So do you have to use rechargeable batteries with the solar panel? Always thought that was the case and why I never purchased the panel and used lithiums.
@@Brandon-uo1rv the internal batteries act as a backup to the solar panel. If the solar panel dies and is unable to recharge, the camera will switch to the internal batteries. We’ve had cameras running for 365 days + strictly on external power

I’m a hobbyist and have had cameras up for years, however I’ve never had a cellular camera. One question, since my iPhone is 3g, will it be compatible with 4g cameras? Thought this was an excellent video. Thank you.
The device you have won't hinder the camera at all. It's just like another cell phone. You can text folks with 4G LTE phones, the camera works the same way. It just needs Verizon coverage where it is placed to have the ability to communicate with your device.
I don’t know I guess I’m old-school but what’s gonna come next a crossbow you can shoot from your phone? How about a robot that can go get the deer gut and drag it out to you?
If my phone only took pictures an had 8 Duracell battery's in it its gona last many months . Just like my trail camera. Don't try to sale me a solar system .
I bought my moultrie edges on sale for $75 and they have worked great for the money. I killed a 6.5 year old buck this year and I got 25 videos of him using the cameras. Even got the kill shot on the camera. Search "life and death of the palmated 8" if you'd like to see them in use.
I honestly can't say I've ever run a spartan camera. At there price point there probably a good camera but I know I've had excellent performance and customer service from exdous.
Cell cameras will work with any connected device. You can check photos, manage data plans, and control the camera functions through your computer as well.
Idk if it's the same for all cell cameras BUT it even says it on their website "EDGE Battery Usage Information: 16 AA Alkaline: 1.4 years of use when set to upload once per day for median user" Ives used these batteries cause they don't cost an arm and leg to buy and my camera has run for almost a year and three months on the same batteries.
I have a unlimited plan with my camera. I get thousands of pics a month. I have gotten 1,895 pics in just this week alone. Unlimited works best for me.
Actually the good reason is being able to set them up in secluded areas and only leave your scent there ONCE. I put mine out right before a big rain and leave them all season. I got 25 videos of a 6.5 year old buck this year. I killed him standing in a scrape and I got the kill shot on the cell cam. I would have certainly ran him off if I stunk his stomping ground up every week or two to swap out cards.
Bro do you think it’s their goal to not have cameras? If they can’t get cameras they can’t make any money. If you haven’t been living under a rock the last two years you should know the challenges small businesses are dealing with. Chill bro
@@gradyrobinson-shaw6079 I don’t know what they’re goals are, nor do I care. It’s a simple issue of being unable to supply a heavily marketed product. The simple fact of the matter is, they’re not only unable to sell their own product, they’re loosing massive capital to other company’s who can.

Good tips. Another is not to face cameras into the sun. It creates blurry pics and condensation buildup.
