just think how much money was put into this setup when it was new. you can tell this was someone's pride and dream pc. amazing that you brought it back from the dead!

The case would be worth some money, those 800D cases are pretty good, I am using one. The components, fittings (try buying them individually) etc would be worth something so I would think it's worth the 230, they would be usable in another build.
Pretty sure that nvidia card was used to run Hybrid Physx with modified/older nvidia drivers. It allowed you to run PhysX even if your main GPU was AMD/ATI.
man your cool upgrading the kid video card to 3050. i know he worked hard for this pc so it so nice of you to both clean and fix it better than before.
Cant believe some one went to the trouble of water cooling an i7-920....That was like the worst and coolest of the i7's back then, Atleast should of gone top tier i7-980X 6core. Or throw an old X5690 server cpu in there and overclocked the stink outta her upto 4.5ghz. They love it...
The HD5970 is "high end" if high end is throwing money away for no reason. It is two 5870 on one card in 'Crossfire mode', which will probably run slower than the single HD5870 because they are clocked slower and Crossfire doesn't work in many games.
really dedicated work, although the pc was kind of destroyed and even spending 230 dollar on it wasnt actually worth, liquid spilled, full of dust, components are too old that even today's games would struggle to run like that i7 980 and dont know what gpu,Though u did awesome work and even gave rtx 3050 which no one expected.
This was, at one point someone's dream pc, the water cooler back then must be hella expensive, yet i have no idea why you need that much liquid cooling for 920 i7, you can even get by with the stock cooler
how long would something like this take? as your t-shirt changed like 3x throughout. wanna do something like this with mine, but time is of the essence in my life/line of work.
The amount of water cooling in this system is ridiculous as hell for what was in it. It didnt need all that BS and in the end it just fried some parts. Good vid though as usual.
i don't use sound off my monitor i have my sound card directly connected to my stereo great sound 4ft speaker boxes 15" woofer 5" mid horn tweeter i built myself got them from the thrift store had to replace everything good sound
Just wow great video allot of work put in here, personally i don't think i would have had the patience. My version of this video would have been tear down and put everything into one of them large ultra sonic cleansers that's it, they, make allot of this level of cleaning no longer necessary but A+ for effort.
Cool pc rebuild but sucks, that Rtx 3050 will be bottlenecked hard. I had similar system 3-4 years ago and it performed quite bad back then. I was rocking dual x5677 with 36gb ram and rx 580 4gb. And it could not keep fps above 100 even in CS:GO. Later unexpectedly got great deal on i5-10600k and it was night and day difference.
Awesome work. I love that yall did this for the kid.
Thanks!

The ram wasn't the correct model to be the best. The best would have been 2000c7 or 2000c8, this kit was 1600c7.

Believe it or not, but the 3050 will slightly bottleneck the cpu by about 6%. I can definitely say I’m surprised.
It's amazing how well those old i7's have aged.
From this i more took out how bad the rtx 3050 is more than how good is that i7
