There's a saying, if I clean and it doesn't work after that, it's unsellable. So, might as well sell it dirty, and let any issue be that's person's problem.
@bestopinion9257 I disagree, if seller shown pics of it working under that condition, it's more risky to clean. Plus, if you clean it and it doesn't work, you cannot even return/refund, because it's not in the same condition, as you bought it.
Umm sir, not sure what's surprising about the gaming results on that 980 ti...that GPU is one of the all time greats and is still reviewed in 2024 playing 2024 titles. I'm a little slanted however, since I am using the exact same CPU and GPU combo (4690k + galax 980ti) coincidentally! xD Great job cleaning that PC up and giving it new life!
I dont know if you have this brand in the oz but its called 3-in-1 they make 3-in-1 oil i mix that and WD40-BRAND grease to salvage fans and it works really good, my theory is the oil deals with the rust and the grease does what it does.
Bro, about that sound design of your video. When you cleaning the motherboard, the sound an awfully likes to the air warning siren. Spooked as heck out of me.
That pc looking good good, what do you use to clean the power cables and electric stuff? just alcohol or something else? Love ur videos, saying hi from Argentina
Oh man, you don't have to drill out the screw. Check out some easy outs for screws (or screw extractor, I'm not sure what the technical name is). So far, I've not had an issue with removing stripped screws or I have the nut/bolt version as well and that works even better. They just work on things that no longer work.
Myself I'm running an Intel 8th Gen i7 8700 (Non K) processor with an Asus ROG Strix Z390-E motherboard. Bought them used locally around couple years ago give or take for $50 US dollars total. Just recently picked up locally an used MSI RTX 2060 12GB model that has 8+6 power connectors for $50 US dollars. As for RAM I'm running 32GB of 3200MHz DDR4 by Corsair which at the time costed me like $100 US dollars brand new. For my monitor I'm using an 27" LG UltraGear 165Hz 1080p which I bought brand new at Walmart. Currently the system is more than capable of playing every game I had throwing at it and is capable of giving quite decent FPS doing it. I'm able to play Cyberpunk 2077 @ 1080p ultra setting and capable of getting around 70 fps.
Honestly I think that PC could have been sold as is with the exception of new fans. That thing looks like the absolute dream machine of 2015. 14 year old me would have drooled over it for hours
Why is it dangerous to open up a power supply? Id like to know because I opened up mine to apply "Computer Oil" or something on the fan for it to stop making noise... Can it kill me or blow up or something?????!! Have not had issues with it since then, but a bit surprised that maybe I have done something unsafe...
It's mad how good the 4790k/980Ti combi is, even for todays standard. i have allmost this spec, plus 32gb vengeance 1866mhz ram and two samsung EVO SSD 2tb. Will i ever upgrade? lol :D
that dirt looks unatural there were pieces of small wood in there . no way the fans took that in the case. i have seen dust befor and this is dirt not dust

old owner gotta be inside smoker lol 😂 same shit was inside my ps4 what i did bought used and the cooler was pretty stuck so ps4 sounded like jet engine, but bought mats, open it, changed thermal for core and now all is smooth :D
I was very disappointed with this video, i was looking forward to seeing the cleaned up PC put through its paces at the end only to be cheated when most of the main components were replaced by band new.
how can people sell stuff in that state. i clean everything before selling it!

for 317 dollars, the person who sold this to you couldn't take it out to the air compressor and at least blow the dust out and clean it up? jeeze lol
Thats ok, we got it fixed up =)

It wouldn't have cleaned up anyway. That "sticky" he kept feeling is due to nicotine. Blowing it out would have only done so much.
