FAREWELL TINY POP... | 2004-2024

- After 20 years on the air, TINY POP is no more... on terrestrial television at least. In a move that aligns with how many channels are evolving, the service will be moving to a solely digital platform, following in the footsteps of CITV, and soon to be online-only CBBC. So how did TINY POP mark the ending of this defining chapter?

I Remember Watching Timothy Goes To School On Tiny Pop During Late Nights Around 2016. RIP Tiny Pop!
SAME
Me too ;)
Holy sh!t, I remember that show!
Same
Same but around 2011-2012
R.I.P Tiny Pop (2004 - 2024). The generations that grew up with you will never forget your impact. Thanks for doing this Adam. 🙂😔😔
😭😭😭
I don't live in uk and I don't even know what this is.
Whyyyy
Are people watching the FULL video?!, it is NOT dead, you can still watch on your Smart TV and pop player, well watching it on TV normally is now dead.
@KJLovesRoblox Jeez, what’s with you? We all know Tiny Pop can still be watched on Smart TVs and Pop Player. It’s just that since it’s no longer on terrestrial tv, people that grew up watching it on normal TV will pay tribute to it. Not all people have Smart TVs or can access Pop Player.
Bro as someone born in 2008 who’s turning 16 this July it just makes quite sad to see all of these kids channels that I grew up with shut down, I swear to god if CBeebies ends up shutting down then I’m going to be very pissed off.
No.
I think CBeebies will be staying on TV, probably for parents that don't want iPad kids
@@SwitchbackSylveon True
@@SwitchbackSylveon Yes, but then again CBEEBIES nowadays mostly shows crap that IPad kids binge watch already. Need I mention "Cocomelon" is on the IPlayer? It just goes to show that it could possibly be on the verge of doom as well.
I wish the BBC would do a classic preschool programming block. Not CBEEBIES, I think UA-cam has a lot of classic CBEEBIES covered. I'm talking the likes of "Play School", "Play Away", "Classic Blue Peter", "The Magic Roundabout", "Trumptonshire", "Fingerbobs", "Ragtime", "The Herbs", etc. All these proper classics from the 1960s and 1970s. Although many editions have been wiped, unfortunately. For example, a lot of "Play School" is well preserved, but a good chunk of the show has been wiped, most of "Play Away" is gone and "Ragtime" only has seven or eight editions out of twenty six. But either way, it would be nice to have. They've already put "Bagpuss" on the IPlayer, why not do the same with all the other 1970s programmes?
@@FiremanSamBoy2008same if it ends I'm gonna Get pissed I remember BtB.
Farewell to the legendary home of MLP FIM in the UK unless you have recordings or downloads of it! You will never be forgotten, Tiny Pop! Zak.
OMG I watched MLP on there
SAMEEEEEEEEEEEEE
OG MLP FIM ended anyway so would be repeat after repeat and the newer generation of MLP isn't my cup of tea.
I watched MLP on there too 🥺
Mlp ❤
It was my favourite show
At this point, TV here in the UK is a hot mess right now. Broadcasters left, right and center are moving more and more of their services online-only, shutting out those who can’t afford internet subscriptions, which get more expensive every April and aren’t as reliable as terrestrial or satellite broadcasting! Not to mention: being able to record shows allows you to preserve them for years to come, this isn’t as doable with online broadcast, so moving content online-only puts said content in greater danger of becoming lost media! Sure the Pop Player may seem like a good idea for now, but what about when Narrative’s license to your favorite show expires? You’re done for! I can’t believe Britain is becoming more and more a country where the internet is a requirement to DO ANYTHING! It’s stupid, gimmicky, short changes the technophobic and shows no foresight for things going wrong! Once we end far right rule, we need a whole new Broadcasting Act, part of which ensures kids will always have plenty to watch, even without internet, and does more to prevent shows from becoming lost media! Thank you.
Scotland is a mess now, it's most iconic factory is being demolished tomorrow and it's only been my first day on the 21st, I'm still gonna miss it, some funny moments of me at it:
Me slipping over a box full of Boogie bots
Falling out of control
Slapping Catnap to get away
Glad to see you here in the comments section!
It’s just ridiculous the need to seemingly ‘digitalise’ anything and everything even when it’s not fucking necessary.
Shutting out those who can't afford internet subscriptions?
Wtf are you talking about? This is the UK. The highest percentage of people with internet at home in the world (technically 5th but the others are tiny city states like Singapore). The monthly cost for broadband is cheaper than 2 packets of cigarettes. WAY more people have Internet than satellite TV. TV subscriptions are more expensive than broadband.
The only people without internet here are a handful of elderly people who don't want it. 98.7% of people have Internet in their home.
@@Yamezzzz There are people who can't afford internet and what about rural places where internet is bad and slow? Not everything has to be digital. What's next, we have to shop online because all the supermarkets close down in the future (might never happen)? No way!
MLP: FIM, Milly Molly, Cillford: The Big Red Dog & Timothy Goes To School.
These Shows Will Forever Remain My Favourites From Tiny Pop From Late 2014 and 2015
Late 2014 & Late 2015 Will Forever Be My Favourite Period When I Enjoyed Tiny Pop And Those Shows That I Labled On Here.

2004 - 2024
Same honestly
I watched tpop in 2016 and I loved mlpfim
@@cookiew3228I'm a boy but I watched it with my little sister
Honestly that’s a MASSIVE W when it comes to the shows on tiny pop
I miss milly molly sm like ik I can watch it on YT but it dont hit the same, makes me wanna cry everytime I think of that show
I really feel sorry for the 1.5 million kids in the uk who don't have internet in their homes.
Same thing and I was one of them when I was really young
Dayuuum my childhood just disappeared in a blink 😢
Tiny Pop gave everything, even My Little Pony which Tiny Pop is very well known for amongst other titles. RIP to you as our childhoods wouldn’t be the same without it. ❤ Thanks for this adam
I never knew that Tiny Pop was going off the air until I saw this video, I remember being in year 4 or 5, watching Pajanimals every night with my younger brother before bed. Great memories.
RIP Tiny Pop. (2004-2024) That channel was a huge pillar of my childhood. Never forget.
Tiny Pop is NOT dead, it’s back on linear TV after 5 months.
I'm in shock! WHY THE HECK IS THIS HAPPENING TO TINY POP? I remember watching alot of shows mostly animated or with puppetry along with Cbeebies (thank goodness it's not dead yet lol) such as Peg + Cat, Yeti's Tales, Playdate, Welliwishers, Wildernuts (is it how you spell it people?), Dot, Peep & the Big Wide World (R.I.P to the creator. He will be missed), Franny's feet (the animation however is pretty uncanny), Miffy (surprinsingly similar to sanrio but both of them are darn awesome!) and Strawberry Shortcake's Itty Bitty Adventures!! Goodbye Tiny Pop! Thank you for making my childhood positive with a collection of fun and nostalgic animations! :)
You forgot about Numberjacks
@ezekielagyeman2159 whoops! And yes, numberjacks too! It also reminds me of a horror web series that you would have a nostalgic feeling on the internet
A few more like super why, Maya the bee, Milly Molly, Care bears welcome to care a lot and rolie polie olie
So long Tiny Pop (on TV), you were a constant throughout my childhood.
I will never forget the memories of "Woolamaloo" on this channel. God, that programme is underrated. It was like a "Sesame Street" on a hilariously tight budget (so much so that you can often see the puppeteers arms controlling them), and the presenter was absolutely gorgeous to me as a little kid. Very much like Margot Robbie from "Barbie". That's the best comparison I could make, really.
my fave show on it was hello kitty super style which is on pop itself on 9.30 🥶
@@FifiOSC That's nice. I would've probably been too old to remember that one, though. In fact, Tiny Pop wasn't even my main go to channel as a child. It was really just "Woolamaloo" and those various Canadian cartoons they used to transmit like "Timothy Goes To School" that I enjoyed.
@@RandomGuy-qh7tl it’s still on pop 💀
@@FifiOSC I'm afraid I don't watch Pop. I'm too old for half of the programmes on there.
@@RandomGuy-qh7tl alright
I remember watching Peg+Cat, Millie and Molly, and Earth to Luna. Rest in peace, Lou.
Earth to luna omg my childhood 😍
Peg + Cat was my fricking childhood, it's pretty much what got me into maths and it's sad to see not many families will grow up with it anymore.
Milly Molly best show ever

Tiny pop gave us so many good shows.. and now they're gone
So true 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Ah yes, that one channel that you accidentally flicked to before school.
R.I.P Tiny Pop (2004-2024) We will always remember it. :( (I'm from Poland but who cares)
I’m a 2009 kid and I can’t even with how sad I got watching this.
Watching Timothy Goes to School and Milly Molly at late nights was absolute peak, I will miss Tiny Pop..
When I Was 6 Or 7, I Started Watching Tiny Pop. Grew Up Watching Shows On It Such As PJ Masks, Masha And The Bear, Super Wings And So, So Much More! I'm 12 Now, And I Still Loves Those Shows! ':) Farewell Childhood Nostalgia
i didnt realise citv and tiny pop were gone i mustve spent so much time watching object shows and murder drones
No way citv is gone aswell, loved that channel since I was 3. I miss watching Horrid Henry and Mr Bean on there
I remember me and my brother watching tiny pop we were glued to the screen for ages when it was on
I know when analogue died in the UK some channels in a few regions literally just pulled the plug with no real "end credits" so to speak, it seems some did, particularly Wales and Northern Ireland. I'd imagine its going to be the same for many channels leaving the airwaves over the next decade, when the last of the traditional five finally bow out, I think that is when we'll see some tributes marking what is safe to assume will be a broadcast landmark.
Well UTV Julian couldn’t turn down the opportunity 😂 although if it was today itv probably wouldn’t do much bar a report on utv live.
WHAT TINY POP IS GONE?! I remember watching shows like Timothy Goes To School, Angelina Ballerina, Milly & Molly, Clifford: The Big Red Dog, My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, Rolie Polie Olie and more that I probably forgot to add. I was a 2003 baby (turning 21 in July). This is heartbreaking that everything is online now
I’ll miss you, I watched you when I was 3-4 years old. Have a great day/night, TinyPop.
2004-2024
I remember when Tiny Pop did music videos for kids
I am not British, but i once found a way to watch this channel for hello kitty super style, so i could see it air live..... i used filmon and it was annoying and yet worth it. its sad to see that hkss never got to air every episode in the uk... hkss aired at the weirdest times too.... sad to see you go tiny pop.
if one more of my childhood memories gets discontinued I'll discontinue my life
Wow...I remember watching MLP: FiM on that channel....
Pop Max is definitely going in 2025 to 2027 with pop being the last in 2028
What a bloody shame…I remember watching Peep In The Big Wide World when I was a kid, god I miss those days. :’(
I remember that show too! I watched it outside of Tiny Pop on computer sometimes! And rest in peace to the creator.
@@starrysunni Aye, good times…good times. ;)
I watched that show just before they took it off air, tiny Pop stopped showing it ages ago
Farewell to the legend indeed
Even regular pop shut down but its back for me i thought that would of been gone forever
2005 KID HERE tinypop was my jam growing up
Damn. That was my childhood 😢
. R.I.P Tiny pop 2004-2024 (u were a Big part of my Childhood) 😭😭😭😭😭😭
I grew up on tiny pop, as a kid we couldn't afford sky so I grew up on freeview channels (we had bt vision) cbeebies, pop, tiny pop and other such channels
I remember telling jokes at my school talent show that I copied from the Tiny Pop monkey idents 😂 I was already 6 by the time Tiny Pop launched in 2004 but was a bit delayed bc of my autism so kept watching Tiny Pop and Cbeebies right up until like 10/11 years old (I also watched CBBC and CITV as well during those years tho, I watched both sides of the target shows lol 🥰) I can't believe Tiny Pop is ending! 😢 And CITV as well!! And I did already know about CBBC moving to online-only but thought it had already happened by now!! Glad it's sticking around for a little while longer at least. 🥰 All these channels closing/moving makes me feel so old. 😢💔 RIP
It might be goodbye to Tiny Pop for now, but perhaps it's time it found a new home, like on CITV (Anyone for Mini CITV) six months ago.
Will you do Mini CITV any time soon?
One programme that aired on both Mini CITV and Tiny Pop: Babar and the Adventures of Badou
Adam, Tiny Pop is back on linear television.
Tiny pop was nostalgic for me
6 year old me watching my little pony on tiny pop were such good memories, but pop was already dying as a whole. Thanks for the memories tiny pop!
I really wish that this didn’t happen to Tiny Pop. Such a nice era that has come to an end.😞 I am aware that streaming services are very popular, but still… I will miss Tiny Pop. My favourite era of Tiny Pop is the late 2000’s to the early 2010’s. I really enjoyed watching Strawberry Shortcake, Berenstain Bears, Rainbow Fish, Madeline, Milly Molly and more. I miss those shows on the TV. I still watch them on UA-cam (even though I am 21.)
Love how knowledgeable you are especially when you mention regional TV ( as I said it again you have had a few less years on earth than me😂) my kiddos loved tiny pop ❤
Goodbye, bro.😢
wow as someone who don't use a cable box anymore surprised it still existed thought it went when jinx and all them other odd channels vanished in 2010-2015ish
i remember on tiny pop they did kid music videos the first one i remember was the barndance boys "Yippie-i-oh"
I remember they did a Just Dance kind of thing in the early mornings
@@ziyaadjamil2324 yeah me to its sad its gone
They also did some with:
Teletubbies
Bob the Builder
Mr Blobby (Noel's House Party)
Tweenies
Smurfs
Wombles
Rupert Bear
Aqua - Barbie Girl
Cartoons - Witch Doctor
Paula Abdul - Opposites attract
WHAT HAPPENED TO THAT CHANNEL!? I USED TO WATCH THAT AT THE AGE OF 4 OR SOMETHING! RIP TINY POP. IDC ANYMORE
This is the first time I've heard of Tiny Pop, I was 14 when it launched and I don't have any children or nephews, so I would have had no reason to watch it, but it's still blowing me away that I was completely oblivious to it's existence until now.
I am a 2008 kid, turned 16 back in feb, I LOVED Tiny Pop back in 2013-2017 it is so freaking sad to see it go, i absolutely adored it.
Rest in Peace Tiny Pop
RIP tinytop I loved watching you when I was a kid Im 21 now Best memories You can still watch POP though thats still here
Oh dear. Such a shame to see all of these channels going. I feel like it’s an inevitability that more will stop existing terrestrially. It’s good that they’re not completely gone, but a shame nonetheless. Brilliant video as always Adam.
bro i miss tiny pop 😢😢😢😢
I can’t believe you didn’t mention pop girl, that was literally the best channel ever. It was taken off air in 2015 being very popular. I am surprised that no pop girl shows features on the new pop app I am very sad about that.
RIP Tiny Pop. Even though I don’t watch the channel anymore, I’ll always have a special place in my heart for it, even more nostalgic this time. I watched Tiny Pop daily when I was younger, and it was always there when I needed it, even at night. I watched this channel from 2013-2018. It’s sad that some things from my childhood are fading away along with it. I’m a teenager now so I’ve basically grown up, but it’s sad that kids these days won’t get to have this experience. I remember some of my favourite shows were Care Bears, Strawberry shortcake, Timothy goes to school, my little pony, Milly & molly, and miffy
I remember watching esme and Roy.
Episode I watched:
Imitation frustration (first episode I watched), Game Plan, Sing out Roy and monster's little helper.
Honouring a fallen legend🫡🫡
R.I.P Tiny pop
I heard the news that Tiny Pop is not dead. It’s back on linear TV for now. This UK kids channel has been absent for 5 months since it moved to Smart TV, and that didn’t work out to well at all. So they changed its mind and went back to linear TV. Tiny Pop is NOT dead.
Who in here remembers this lost media show on tiny Pop called Billy it was aired from June 2009 until April 2013
I forgot about tiny pop RIP
You never mention this station, but I think when the biggest kids channel of them all (Disney Channel) didn't do a montage or tribute to their long history when it shut in 2020, people should have known that no channel, especially lesser ones like CBBC or CITV, would ever do it.
The Disney Channels should NEVER have shut down in the UK!
I didn’t even know it had shut down. I stopped paying for Sky TV and the TV License in 2019. I’m a bit gutted by this 😢
So Long To My Favourite Childhood Channel 😥😥😥
Streaming are destroying the television and home-video marketing, even they is a alternative option to see any avaliable series on any hour alongside MP4 episode archives on PC.
Here in Brazil, streaming platforms are become a boom, and various paid channels for kids and for entertainment are closing his activities slowing(except sports channels), as well many actual movies are straight go to streamers few months after their premiere on cinemas, skipping DVD/Blu-ray releases.
NOOOO this is my childhood I’m going to cry 😭
R.I.P Tiny pop my sister loves masha and the bear but I'm happy because she watch's it every day
I already miss it

The same thing is happening with radio as well. Only a day or so ago, Ofcom unveiled the revocation of the award for the Yorkshire Coast small scale DAB licence. One of the key rationales for the company pulling out of the licence was stating that audiences are moving to online there too and therefore small scale broadcasting is not viable. The concept of broadcasters moving online only seems to be accelerating rapidly, large and small broadcasters, young to old audiences.
You mean Dib Dab Licence
I just wish I was still in that tiny pop demographic I left it back in 2017 me and many others will miss it
It’s sad but the hard reality is these channels are just gonna keep going :( Goodbye Tiny Pop 💔
I am curious if you remember a sister channel to Pop & Tiny Pop called Pop Girl, it started back in 2007, and I have a feeling Kix initially started as a rival to Pop Girl which was aimed towards girls, not sure what the age range was, but I do remember in the later years of the channel, it aired a lot of live action shows like Life with Derek, The Saddle Club & Zoey 101. It closed down in October 1st 2015.
I do wish Tiny Pop could of celebrated, would of liked if it reused some old idents of the past, but alais, it didn't. RIP Tiny Pop, you will always have a special place in my childhood
I. love. Pretty cure.
Gendered channels do not work. Even gendered kids channels don't
Gosh I just checked sky, it’s really gone 😢
Tiny pop came into being when our ginger tabby Baby was a little kitten and she is 20 very soon!
I know a lady with advanced Learning Disabilities who lives in supported housing. She watches all the kids shows as her mental age is around 6. She doesn’t have broadband and wouldn’t know what it was or how to use it so couldn’t stream it. She loves nothing more than sitting and watching Tiny Pop, CBBC, CBeebies. I don’t know what she’s going to do without these channels. 😢
I used to watch tiny pop, i feel baad for the new generations that wont get to grow up with it
RIP 😢😢😢😢
First, Pop Girl. And now tiny pop 😢😭
So sad I’ll never get to hear that “TiNy PoP cHrIstmAS!!!”
No money in running a kids channel nowadays, that audience is on streaming
So, pop could move one day :(
I prefer channels on tv rather than streaming. I don't and can't handle change
Care Bears: Welcome to Care-A-Lot, Numberjacks and Ella The Elephant was my favourite shows that used to be on Tiny Pop
