Hi Julie, the giraffe head knobby things are called Ossicones. They are not horns. Ossicones are formed from ossified (hardened into bone) cartilage and are covered in skin.
I love quilts.. I wondered how they priced it. I have a garage, attic and basement full of home decor but can not help myself. I love your finds.❤❤ I think I like the candle holder as is…beautiful wood.
Everyone's laughing so much about the antennae but I really wanted to call them that too. From the comments, I've learned that they're called ossicones.....what in the heck??? Must be a Louisiana thing to not know that. 😄 Whewwwww. Also, my favorite item was the pitcher.❤
The giraffe was adorable. I would have had to bring it home. I can't believe the prices Goodwill gets now. It's crazy. I am surprised to see that giant bear only because they don't usually sell mattresses even from a sofa couch and that is clearly big enough to be a bed. 😂😂 I love the little village set.
Wow, I can’t believe how tiny your shopping carts are at your GW. Fortunately we have regular sized (large) carts at ours here in SC and sometimes I have to drag around a second one. Love watching what you pick up. It validates what I’m picking for resale myself. Thank you for sharing.
I have a HUGE round metal container with the round depressions in it that I thrifted a few years ago. I have no clue what it is supposed to be used for but I used it on my coffee table with the big decorative balls. 😊
Wow I'm shocked at those prices (for the comforters, bedspreads, etc). I recently bought a Nicole Miller queen sized quilted coverlet for under $10 in my local Goodwill. It's weird to have a standard prices - the quality and condition of comforters and other linens can vary greatly. The other prices weren't bad.
Have you seen how people are buying those butter dishes and putting matches in them! They fit perfectly ! Lots of cute colors to! I think you should re-stain it a darker shade
I'm glad to see that you are purchasing more at the Goodwill. That little glass cake plate came from Princes House they was give aways to the guest at the parties.
Some of my best resells have been from the Christmas section. Big sales during the summer. You have to dig. Look for boxed items. Hold onto it until October or November.
I used to work for a Goodwill for 7 years and I admit sometimes the prices were ok and sometimes too high but that is my opinion when I worked in Maine but now i live in Massachusetts and sometimes I visit one's but not lately thanks for sharing this.
You have got to be from south Louisiana! I may be wrong but I hear it in your voice! I’m from Northern Louisiana. I wish the Cajun accent was up here as well
I see lots of stuff people got rid of because no one wanted it and most of it is worthless. Goodwill just can't stand to give someone a good deal because of their CEO's that make lots of money off people that love to hoard stuff, rarely clean it up or sell it themselves.
Your Goodwill has WAY more reasonable prices than my local store. My Goodwill has gotten “too big for their britches!”
The round metal dishes with indentations are for escargot.
No wonder I had no idea. 😁
@@terrihart2133 LOL
I couldn’t even imagine eating escargot . I would be terrified of brain parasites 😮
@@kimrector8230 geez louise!! I didn't kno bout the brain parasites....yuk! Lol
Hahaha!! I’ve eaten them and they were wonderful. Maybe the brain parasites explain a lot! Haha. I’ve not seen them in a long time.
The metal dishes, with depressions are used for serving escargots (snails).

The tiny crystal cake plate with flowers is actually Princess House and it’s called a babycakes they were prizes given at parties
The quilt is my fav.
The magazine stand is your best purchase!!! My grandparents had that, and I am 68. It may be worth
something.
Think the French things are more likely for snails but would look cute with eggs 😊
I love the duck. My dad had a lot duck decoys back in the day. Wish I had just one . Happy thrifting
Me too 😊
Same! When my father died, his wife got rid of all of them.
Love the concrete fruit pieces, the little baby cloche and of course the quilt. Great day!
Oooo, you need a bigger cart! Love the quilt
I'm not sure what those things on top of the giraffes head are called but I like "fuzzy nubbins" lol
Love shopping with Julie and seeing items through her eyes! Thanks Julie🌸
Love the quilt!
What a great thrifting trip. The pricing is so reasonable there! Thanks for sharing.
The WHITE PITCHER is my FAVORITE!!!🤍🤍🤍
I had to Google it. The things on the top off a giraffe's head are called ossicones. Both male and female giraffes have them.
The metal made in France trays are for escargot 😃
New Orleans accent! I went to school with that!! Miss hearing it!!
I absolutely adore the quilt. Fan pattern
GREAT HAUL Julie ! Love shopping with you today.

Nice quilt. You found some great things. Princess house butter dish. I really like the snowman cup.
Had a set of those canisters with wooden lids many years ago & they sat in a wooden rack!
Pflatzgraph is the copy of Mikasa. That yellow pitcher looks old too besides original Mikasa.I have white platzgraph of that same swirl design.
Everyone's laughing so much about the antennae but I really wanted to call them that too. From the comments, I've learned that they're called ossicones.....what in the heck??? Must be a Louisiana thing to not know that. 😄 Whewwwww. Also, my favorite item was the pitcher.❤
Love the little quilt! And wish you had picked up the little bird I saw in the Christmas aisle!
Most likely snails rather than eggs Julie 🤭
I think that piece from France was for escargot not eggs.
That blue and white set was everything!
another great video, I wish I could find items like this from my Goodwill, great finds
You are not going to believe this but I have that same tray. I found it at a antique store 15 years ago!
I absolutely loved the etching wood tray, with the house scene on it, gorgeous. I would paint the candlestick.
Hey Julie , i love your videos. Keep them coming. 😊
A great haul.

Those snowman bowls would be perfect for chili or soup in the winter!
Quilt pattern is fan and that one is beautiful💕. What's not to love about that large pitcher.🙂 enjoyed!
I have a HUGE round metal container with the round depressions in it that I thrifted a few years ago. I have no clue what it is supposed to be used for but I used it on my coffee table with the big decorative balls. 😊
Use for escargots (snails)
That OTHER, smaller little crazed/stained white ironstone pitcher on the lower shelf with the chipped dogwood casserole dish?
How Fun I was drawn to the duck!

I collect apples so my favorite has to be the apple... it's gorgeous!
The duck is my fav today.
The baby cloche is my favorite

I used to work for a Goodwill for 7 years and I admit sometimes the prices were ok and sometimes too high but that is my opinion when I worked in Maine but now i live in Massachusetts and sometimes I visit one's but not lately thanks for sharing this.

Huge haul...success!

I love your accent. But I also love the stuff you pick up.
I'd strip the candlestick.
Pitcher, duck, & the quilt! 🤓
The quilt !!
I see lots of stuff people got rid of because no one wanted it and most of it is worthless. Goodwill just can't stand to give someone a good deal because of their CEO's that make lots of money off people that love to hoard stuff, rarely clean it up or sell it themselves.
I would leave the wood candle holder without paint for now. You can always paint it later if it doesn’t sell.
Simply loved the tray
My mother had a duck like that went i was a child.😮❤😊
Paint the candle stick...put the duck planter back?
Great day! I love the etched tray.
The decoy is cool!
Wow ! Nice goodwill!
You’re so funny! Antennae on a giraffe? I believe they’re called ossicones. Sometimes they are called “horns”.
The fruit was my favorite
Loved the quilt so pretty ❤
I would cut the middle part on the small wooden cabinet and put chicken wire.
Love the coasters. Been looking for coasters. Either to pricey or the wrong color.
That's a nice store. Ours looks nothing like it.
Paint the candle stick-too red. Quilt and wood tray are my favs. This could easily have been a two shopping cart day!
Great finds 👍🏻
Love your haul! I really love the green cup and wood candle
My kitchen decor has pears.😊
The prongs on a Giraffe are called Ossicones
Giraffe antenns! LOL
