lol, I could never figure out why they would be so happy to be servents when I was a kid. Now that I'm older I finally figured it out. 1930-depression-probably just happy to be working!
Plus Warbucks probably pays them a huge salary. :-)
lol, could be that too.
Yeah, I could never be a servant in the Warbucks mansion - I have absolutely no dancing or athletic ability.
Lol
Aww that's too bad. Don't worry, Daddy will think of something for you.
Lee
Annie Warbucks lmao
😂😂🤣🤣
i bet learning the choreography in this movie was absolutely fun lol
boy Heather
Boy
Fun, and probably very difficult!
The Freestyle Garage As someone who's done this musical and used the choreography from this movie, it actually was fun but we had to spend lots of rehearsals just on this song (and hard knock life).
I am doing the musical right now 😂
The Freestyle Garage oh god choreography is literal hell
I always loved "Grace" in this film! She's a character in which you just can't help but love and smile when you see her!
I prefer Audra McDonald as Grace
she always reminds me of my grandma cuz ann ranking who played grace has the same smile as my grandma
this grace is my favourite because of the back & forth she was doing with miss hannigan wen picking up an orphan for warbucks 😂
Absolutely. So gorgeous and so talented.
Me too! I’m doing this for a musical and really want the part of grace I’d do anything haha 🫶
People: no need to pick up any toys,
Annie: That's ok I don't have any anyways!
HAHA DEPRESSING
Rachael How HAHA
Rachael How lol 😂
Rachael How that's ok I don't have any anyway "hello darkness my old friend"
I can relate to Annie!! What a hard knock life!
I. Love. Her. She's. Loves. Me.
I am new to Annie's movie series but I think the original version is more natural, merrier & better. Also because all the actors can dance, let alone singing! Talk about talent back then!
true
and they had no autotune
Dragoon The Great goshhhh have you seen the New Annie movie. Damn it's so autotuned and so bad. I love the classic.

Afiqah Azmee it still exists bro
Daddy Warbucks's mansion is actually WIlson Hall, one of the buildings in Monmouth University, i had a few classes in that building. :)
Stacy Hirsh cool
Cool
How did nobody there want to do something Annie related
@@tripleg2513 many of those maids do look younger. Theater majors at the university? :3
Wilson Hall is an historic landmark. A beautiful building.
Throw back to when all singing was natural, no auto tune was needed back then. Bless those singers :')
yes!
Halleluyia

+Martina Schutze Hallelujah*
atleast we still have broadway
The two old men that sing "We've never had a little girl/We've never had a little girl" remind me of Statler and Waldorf in The Muppets for some reason.
The voices. Yeah, I feel the same way
Same!
I always wondered why this was an apparently point of contention between them. I wonder if they do this for every new thing/orphan that's brought into the mansion.
Probably
Yes
Step 1: Get Rich
Step 2: Hire maids and butlers
Step 3: Teach them choreography
Got it!
Michelle Feinberg Standards are very high there...the Mona Lisa hanging in his bathroom is proof of that lol
Michelle Feinberg Life will then be altogether lovely!!! 🤗 🤗 🤗
Then buy an orphanage and give the alcoholic orphan matron her own elephant and pimp out the rest of the orphans to look like living porcelain dolls
You can say that again.
Michelle Feinberg 😂😂😂
Did anyone else find her playing the organ adorable?
@Dani yes
It was
@@brittanyrosie986
Yes
Yep!!!! 😊😍😊
And funny too 😂
All these Annie videos are just filled with people who want to argue over which version is better.
I love your profile pick. Kermit is Bae 😂
Tell me about it. All I see are those who bicker that the 2014 reboot is utter garbage, and those who either play the racist or politically-correct card. And I'm here with my Daddy and Mommy Grace expressing our disappointment.
Of course it has to to be the 1982 version
Ikr...
I like them both for what they are. The 1999 adaptation is more faithful to the musical (sticks to the actual script anyway) while this movie was first and an honour.
It was a nice touch having her go back for the guy who fell down the stairs. It displays her caring personality to her new friends, and gives weight to her ability to endear herself to the staff.
I grew up watching this amazing musical on VCR.
This will remain the best version of Annie. End of story.
+redflare100 You said it!
+redflare100 Agreed!
not agreeded
+Sarah Strachan its agreed not agreeded
yep!
2:40 that guy was literally me on the stairs the first day of high school bye
haha me too
Once I tripped UP the stairs on my way to Geography
🤣😂🤣🤣😂😂🤣
Lol! Me too! 😂😂😂😂
me walking up the stairs to the library in year 7
why cant cleaning be this fun
OMG so true!
Ikr wish I lived there
Lol
+Franki Marshall me to!
Carter Gilbert because dancing around and having fun while doing any chore is viewed as weird by modern society. Doesn't stop me from doing it, but still.
"You don't have to pick up any toys"
"That's okay I don't have any anyways" that always makes me laugh because the song is so happy and then this depressing line comes up out of nowhere and they're both just smiling through it.
RIP Ann Reinking...Thank you for one of my favorite characters...
She's one of mine too. Such class and poise :) I love her character xx
Maid: What would you like to do first?
Annie: 🤔🤔🤔
Grace Farrell isn't a maid, she is Warbucks' PA.
+MissGarland1986 Damn. Oh well, my point was mostly that Annie's face looked like that emoji.
+NickAndTommyFight I couldn't see the emoji which one was it
+Mt. Everest I mean I don't know how to describe it. The I guess "inquisitive" face one.
Wow I never realized as a child how amazing the choreographing is!
"The world and our family have lost a vibrant, amazing talent and beautiful soul. Ann was the heart of our family and the life of the party," the statement said. "She was visiting our brother in Washington state when she went to sleep and never woke up. We will miss her more than we can say. Heaven has the best choreographer available now. I'm sure they are dancing up a storm up there! Annie, we will love and miss you always!!!" RIP Ann ReinKing
this house is freakin sweet
Haha I love that Family Guy episode!!!
It's like living in a huge hotel all to yourself!
Gh
Alex Bernhardt It's Wilson Hall at Monmouth University in New Jersey!!
Greer Smith what?
Rest in peace, Ann Reinking, aka Grace Farrell.
RIP to Ann Reinking I loved her in this movie.
All I could think was "that is a ridiculous amount of staff" 😂👍
For someone who has a lot of money like Daddy, he wouldn't be cutting corners.
@@anniewarbucks1794
What's going on
Always loved the scene where the gardener gives her flowers. So sweet and his dancing is great!
“I’m very, very, very glad to volunteer!” This is my favorite part because of how Aileen hit the high note. I love it very much.
This was the best Annie in my opinion. So well made, so many talented people. Definitely a classic
"When you wake, ring for Drake"
Waiter guy: *U uSeD tO cAlL mE oN mY cElLpHoNe*
They should have left her alone. All these remakes ruined her. This one could never be beat. No matter how many times it's redone never in a million years will they be better than this one.
Isn't there only one remake 2014 version
Kick X Weeb there are 3 remakes though 1999 has the best singing.
Technically speaking the movie is a remak3 of the stage show
Jhing Vitto Encinarez i disagree
*In your opinion
I love Grace's style, so Graceful ;)
Elisheval I am auditioning for grace for a play
Maybe that's why her name is Grace.
Elisheval Pun intended?
**Ba dum tss**
Nice pun
I love this entire number, but my favorite line in this song is “I’m glad she’s glad to volunteer”! at 4:28 . Grace has such a beautiful class about her. And that beautiful alto voice. It contrasts so perfectly with Annie’s voice. Dear god! I always rewind that part a lot.
R.I.P. Geoffrey Holder (Punjab) :(
Daddy Warbucks died back in February RIP
Don’t forget Albert finney
@@daisyslife5332 And now Ann Reinking, twelve-twelve.
@@KBAFourthtime what u mean?
@@daisyslife5332 If you mean "twelve-twelve," I meant the twelfth of December.
The 2014 version of this song is nothing compared to the original. This one feels so much warmer and happier, something you can't get by making the song essentially a solo.
Annie (1982) is by far the most artistically inspiring movie i've ever seen. I'm in love with the musical score and the choreography 😍
As much as I do love the Disney version since that is the one I grew up with, this one does look like more effort was put in it. Look at how huge this place is & all the incredible dancing that is being made. Back to the 1999 Annie, now that the new lazy Annie is out, I don't feel so bad for still being in love with the Disney version anymore.
Annie. Hope you. Feel. Better.
Miss. You.
I prefer the 1999 version
this is the real Annie and only Annie
+Luke Beck
Yeah
Mpx say uh
There is three Annie's
Dot Hanna "ARE"
Luke Beck YES
She's soooooo adorable. That smile 😩😍
This is the BEST version! The modern version is NOTHING compared to this amazing classic!
This is CLASSIC HOLLYWOOD. Makes my heart happy.
yeah right.... when black people were barely included in movies
in my opinion, movie making is more equalized now
+mf king Diverse cast /=/ quality
Besides, this wasn't the 50s, by this time black people were allowed to be in movies. (Not denying the blatant white washing but equality doesn't make your movie better)
RIP Ann Reinking. What an incredible talent
i was not born when this came out but, i like this movie better than the remakes
Same I was born 19 years later in 2007 and I still watched the old one first and love it more than the 'newer' one
I was born in 2002 and I just started watching this like a couple of weeks ago.
I rewatched it sooo much the tape had to be replaced twice
I was born in 2009 so 21 years after
Daisy Gacha Then dont you mean 27- 2009 minus 1982 is 27.. and I was born on 2004, 22 years after so that wouldn’t be possible for yours to be 21 years.
Love the making bed scene!
My god this house is freakin sweet!
Rip Ann Reinking ❤️
Ann Reinking was everything in this movie! There will never be another like her!
I love Annie and Grace's singing voice.
By far, the best Annie movie. Classic
We're doing Annie in my school and I'm Annie ☺️
Cool! I did it in 2011 and I wanted to be warbucks, which woould have made sense cause I was the only boy in the entire production! But I ended up being President Roosevelt!
+Mikalala Vibes Yeah we're doing it now and I'm double casted as Grace and Tessie!
We're doing Annie and I'm miss Hannigan
Mikayla Poggi thats why i'm gere
Mikayla Poggi I am Molly 😀 And you probably are the Apple seller
Forever the best Annie.
Amen, Ms. Powers. The TRUE Annie.
Absolutely the best and true Annie....Nobody beats Aileen Quinn...I have seen on remakes and on plays that many who play Annie don't even have the red curly hair from start like Aileen...What's the problem with putting on them a wig from start....that they did on the norwegian theaterversion....Not first straight hair and then when celebrating christmas the curls show up....
Forever. The. Best. Annie. She's. Pretty. So Nice. Today. like And. Love. Best. Friend.
This movie aired every Christmas when I was a kid. It was a tradition in my family to watch it, when we visited my grandparents.

No one even knows what natural talent is anymore. I agree. Love to hear vocal key changes.
That's one reason why i outgrew my teenage fantasy of stardom.
Ann Reinking was an absolutely brilliant Miss Farrell. I always wanted to play that part because of her. RIP
RIP Ann Reinking 🕊❤️🕊
I'm in disbelief . my she rest in heavenly peace 🕊
So
The one musical that still has the wow factor for me, especially when you can sing along word for word.
One musical where i love at least almost every song is Hairspray
LOVE this film. Aileen Quinn is the best Annie ever, i love grace too
This Annie movie just holds such a special place in mt heart.
Who thinks the original is way better than the 2014 version?
Miss Kitty lol duh.
the new one is good don't be so rude about it they wanted to make it with a black little girl instead and Jamie fox they were just trying something out and the movie was actually good
Can’t we all just have are own opinions??? :3
Miss Kitty yup
Tessa Virtue Scott Moir it’s because people prefer real singing to auto tune. Also, fun fact! People can have an opinion
My God, Ann Reinking was so stunning (still is)!
This movie and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang are my all time favorite childhood movies - and Pete’s Dragon! I know it may be silly but I can’t help but cry during this movie usually all the way through. It’s the best!! 🤷🏼♀️😬🥺😭😅
rest in peace ann, one of my first crushes 😢
Having a tennis instructor for Annie, who originally was only to stay with Warbucks for two weeks seems like a waste of time, if it hadn't been that Warbucks loved and adopted Annie ultimately.
Rest In Peace, Ann Reinking
I was Grace in a production a few years back and still remember all the words.
This is my favorite film version of annie. They do an amazing job
One of My favorite movies in the world ❤ I love when she sees the broadway show 😭
That’s in the 1999 version
MY GOD THIS HOUSE IS FREAKING SWEET!
We're doing Annie The Musical at my school,i am playing Grace!😋
One of my favorite scenes! I always cry 🥲 everyone was so nice and welcoming to her ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
My God, this house is freakin'' sweet!
Does it show any fireplaces? I'm completely blind and was wondering. I'm guessing it shows a breef clip of the pool and tennis court when Grace says the pool is down the stairs and the tennis court is in the rear?
I like it here and I'm not even there. I wasn't even born sadly. The 80s look fun.😓
This was set in the 1930s, but yes, the 1980s were fun!
@@ravenel2 I'm a 90's baby but I've been into 80's stuff since my early teens
Every musical number in the original was a smash. This was one of the best' if not' Thee best family film from 88 - 2000.
Watching this reminded me why I love musicals. I would like to thank my mom for having me a wonderful childhood with these musicals💖
I love Grace's speaking voice, its lovely to listen to.
This is my favorite musical number in the whole movie!!!
HEYYY ANNIE I GOT SOMETHING FOR YA *insert running an twirls here* 😂😂😂😂😂😂❤
and*
Hahahaha yeah. Most over-elaborate flower delivery of all time.
Daisy Martinez in the back of the table idiom
Family guy, this house is fricking sweet
I was thinking that too XD
+AliceTheHetalian it is aimed at this song. Many cartoons have musical changed to their liking and to prevent copyright
Is it bad that I liked the Family Guy parody better?
Rafiki Pines Griffin no nothings wrong with that we have our own opinion
Rafiki Pines Griffin no!
I have to sing this for our school musical. And now that I’ve heard it…….I’m scared.
Your gonna do great
When I was in highschool I forgot all about my love for Annie and also Oliver. When I was 17 or so mum bought me the double box set so I had both movies on DVD. Glad I grew out of that teenage phase "too cool for musicals" haha In my 20s now and appreciate them all the more
During my teen years, I didn't consider myself too cool for musicals. I didn't see this movie until i was 19.
This house is freakin sweet
This movie is a masterpiece
I love how she goes to help the man who fell down the stairs.
This movie is my childhood. It's also the thing that started my passion for Musical Theatre.
RIP Ann Reinking. Amazing performer and actress
This is the bomb! I am so glad I lived my youth in 80s
I was a kid during the release of the 2014 version and oh my good this is so much better
My god this house is freaking sweet!
God, I LOVE this movie! :D
ever since i was a little kid i loved this movie! i always really liked grace and wanted to be like her when i grew up. it's always been my dream to take in an abandoned child and make them as happy as annie was in this movie.
I love this movie it brings back memories of me as a kid wow ❤❤
I love this song. it's one of my all time favorites.
i saw Anne in Fosse and she was still That Great😍😍😍😍😍 i gave her a standing ovation too!
THIS SCENE is one of the many reasons why I LOVE Annie (1982).
The songs are all so memorable, the singers don't look like they're lip-synching, they're all having tremendous fun while performing, and Aileen Quinn will always and forever be ANNIE in my eyes, and no-one since can come close.
I say behead the critics who said that John Huston can't direct a musical - every musical I've ever seen is unique, and the dark and cynical contrasts to the zany, offbeat and jolly perfectly in my opinion.
And finally...
Little girls are so special, like my daughter is, and the girls who play the orphans act, sing and dance so beautifully it causes a powerful emotion in me. In their performance shines that nobility that all children who are fortunate enough to escape abuse possess, called True Innocence, a light that shines in this often dark world and causes grown men to weep as they witness it, like I do every time I watch the movie.
I seriously wish my life was a musical!
I've been wanting that since i was 13. I'm 28 now
My gawd this house frickin' sweet
"Mah God, This House Is Freaking Sweet!"
I absolutely love Annie the very first time I saw it was at Broadway in New York City as a play and then I saw the movie Annie and now I own the original Annie on VCR tape and 30-year anniversary on DVD and every chance I get to see it on TV I love it and I think I know the words to tomorrow word by word everybody's got to see orphan Annie.
2020 and I still think this choreography is amazing 🥺❤️
I was 11 when this came out and I saw a news clip of how they searched for Aileen Quinn. I was so envious of these girls who were picked to be in the movie! And I saw it in the theater three times, which was unusual. RIP Ann Reinking-this is how I always knew who you were!
