The Blancpain Endurance Series and the FIA GT Series are world class 'Grand Touring' competition for homologated GT3 supercars that are organised and promoted by the SRO Motorsports Group.
For 2013 the FIA GT Series brings a fresh and exciting look with a three-class structure guaranteed to generate spectacular action throughout the large grids. Titles will be awarded to three different class champions at the end of the season in Pro Cup, Pro-Am and the Gentlemen's Trophy classes. The Blancpain Endurance Series continues to be the world's most subscribed and best supported GT series with upwards of 55 cars racing at legendary tracks like Monza, Silverstone, Nurburgring and of course the majestic Spa-Francorchamps where the jewel in the crown of endurance GT races takes place at the end of July -- the world famous 24 Hours of Spa.
Some of the world's most iconic supercar brands will go wheel-to-wheel in 2013 as Audi, BMW, Ferrari, Ford, Lamborghini, McLaren, Mercedes, Nissan and Porsche fight epic battles on some classic tracks. All the cars will be performance balanced with weight and restrictor adjustments to make different makes more equal, thus delivering monumental on-track scraps.
Add to this potent mix of top GT cars, some world class drivers like 9-time World Rally Champion, Sebastien Loeb, Brazilian racing legend, Caca Bueno, multiple GT champion, Stephane Ortelli, and many other top names, and a sensational year of racing lies ahead this season.

actually they use fuel injection system now, and I know Nascar racing technology is way behind F1 or GT and much cheaper, but their safety technology is excellent. For example the Hans device or safer barrier
I love gt racing. All makes come together to win the title of best sport car. In America, we only have the boring Nascar racing which I personally think is very dull, and most of the racing channels really just talk about that. Thanks UA-cam for opening American eyes!
This race every year is bigger! I was here at navarra in 2011 & 2012 but this year is the best and it doesnt comes :(

I totaly agree.. my thinking is SPEED which is owned by NASCAR.. the reason I say Nascar is because of Fox has broadcast rights to the Bush, Nascar series and they probably do not want competition.. which is stupid. if you look at the programing on SPEED.. there is so much BS re-runs from 7 years ago on SPEED their own web page is inandated with hate mail, and have been requesting European racing for th past 5 years at least. Like the goverment they do not listen and give us Speed2

i do not entirely agree with that assessment. sro needs money badly and the only place willing to give that money is the usa. not anywhere else. this has nothing to do with nascar and everything to do with stephane ratel needing money. at the expense of us in the usa. and i enjoy this series very much. great competition, lots of cars, and i cannot wait to see the c7 corvette in this series

I wish I could watch the race!!! Speed2 in the US has the contract with SRO and all I can watch in a stupid 52 minute highlights package. I WANT TO WATCH THE RACE!!!! It's the same bull hockey with the GT Series. I get the championship race but not the qualifying nor the qualifying race. I HATE NA$CRAP!!!! DON'T TELL ME HOW GREAT IT IS, I'VE SEEN THE "GREATS" RACE!!! It was snoresville. I guess since I live in the US I should like ovals, infact I hate oval racing. I'll take road racing any day.
Because for some stupid reason SPEED have exclusive rights to all SRO series in the US. The only issue is that SPEED only show these events on the SPEED2 streaming service which a very small percentage of people have access to because in most cases (including mine) you need a particular package from your cable/internet provider to use the service. This is a great shame too, BES and Brit GT are supposed to be great series but unfortunately the vast majority of US motorsport fans cant watch.
Also SPEED is being relaunched in August of 2013.. Only Nascar and all the other BS that comes with NASCAR will be aired.. everything else will be aired.. who knows where else.. it will become FOXSports1.. and will have baseball, and FIFA I believe bu no Car programs.
I'll have a macca please with a dash of waste gate and a side of slicks ....awesome series obvious which car i like but porsche as well and yes please bathurst!! Sort the men out fromvthe boyz, oh and the new track here in nz , Southlands
I sure hope Fox/SPEED are paying Stephan lots of money for this exclusive deal because myself and many other US fans are very annoyed with this stupidity. Why you would want to limit your potential viewership this extent defies all logic and reason.
yup, this is the blancpain endurance series, it's different from the gt series.

Not really? GT Series rules and specs are terribly confusing, but these cars are mostly GT3 spec, but there are some GT2 spec as well.

I am happy tracks are slowly paving areas where gravel would be. Gives cars runoff area, doesn't throw rocks on the track, and don't meet to throw cautions to get cars out the gravel.
Cus they want you to watch your NASCAR i guess :D
They put so much effort into over taking each other on straight and corners then they totally screw up pit stops and they ruin all of it... priorities are wrong maybe? Lol

Good point. Considering the chronic economic situation in Europe, it's a wonder this series is running at all, let alone with the success it's been enjoying. Suppose we could be grateful for that.

NASCAR= Same chassis, same suspension, off set rear ends, same brakes, same aerodynamics, basically same engines, same transmission, same gear ratios,= no racing= boring. Did I leave something out like over hyped . Sorry if I did not included anything like drivers who think there are the worlds gift to racing.
