the circuit was primarily designed for motorcycles... That is why there are so many "boring" turns... But every time I was there watching some racing event there was nothing boring in the race at all...
That's so that they can heat up the tires for better grip on the track. Going back and forth creates friction. Friction creates heat. Heat creates grip.
Can some one expalin me the diffrece between GT1/2/3...Does they run all togheter?!...For example the first car is a Ferrari 458 GT2 the the 4 car is a Sls GT3...but the title says GT1....I' don' understand!!!!!!
Cold tires don't have as much grip as warm tires. The warmer rubber conforms to the surface of the road better producing more grip. Think about other materials that get sticky when they are warmer like tar on a parking lot to fix cracks. if it's cold it is hard and not very sticky, in the summer sun it gets softer and much stickier. I've even seen a girl lose a shoe when she stepped on some warm tar.
othing boring in the race at all :)) strong statement :) but yeah, seen some good races there. drivers even seem to like , likely cos it s fast in places...but still, the author of the layout can only draw boring turns
some austrian character that designed buildings before...i dont like it , there s no surprising corner, second corner could be nice to drive...but other than that, bunch of boring corners, worse than tilke, wasted opportunity...not that tilke does any good hehe
This is much better than F1. Wish this series was coming to America.
(BTW, I'm using a proxy to watch this race. Please make this available in the US)
Blancpain is available everwhere and that series is beautiful Vitreo
man i love u guys, you have the best series, beautifulest cars, good racing, john watson commentary...thanx for coming to slovakia!
Formation lap: 9:50
Race start: 14:00
Awesome race and to broadcast them on Internet is definitely the right choice.
It is confusing when it said FIA GT1, it is actally GT3 cars, not GT1 cars

The wtcc 2012 race in this circuit was just awesome, you must watch it
Are there any plans to expand this to NA? I heard they were considering it.
Does anybody know who designed this circuit? Looks better than any of the Tilke designs
Whats with the tire wall chicane??

how do you watch the other races in the USA? i want to watch so bad!!
Love gt1, also not being able to watch in america is great
race starts @ 0:09:50
how i wish the super gt of japan and dtm of germany will compete in this series

They are different tiers/championships and normally don't run together. As far as I know, GT1 and 2 folded since.
Is gt1 faster then gt3 or something endimios
480p...I'll take it.
I like this track - like an awesome nacho chip.
warum steht das immer noch als GT1 ..wenn es doch GT3 Fahrzeuge sind ???
wo is dieses jahr der unterschied,,,zu sehen...?

Can you elaborate?
Me on 3:12 :), great evenr
...id like to see cars get airborne, thx FIA
why do they have to wobble during the formation lap?
i believe they are heating tires for better grip on tires
good luck
in GT1 darf man z.B. suspension bearbeiten ;)
Yes, McLaren is second !
Anyone know why the Astons were not present? Not that they wouldve remained on the lead lap anyway lol
55:15 is that the finger?

Amazing to me that a Ford is in this race and GT1 won't allow USA coverage. What a crock of sh*t!

Its going bust at the end of the year. Ratel has finally finished ruining GT racing.
