"I can't see his skeleton, but I can still feel it" is a good guideline that more pet owners (of almost any species - don't go feeling up your fish, for example) should probably know.
Just ask a vet or google what a heathy weight is for your pet and weight it every so often. As well as making it easier to keep your pet in shape you'll be able to notice any sudden weight changes that are the first sign of a medical issue and get vet treatment for them when they need it faster.

That "king snake" is actually a Jungle Corn, which is a hybrid between corn snakes and cali kings. I have one myself, they tend to take more after the king snake as far as personality goes so they're usually pretty chill.
@@cloudcitypod No its not. That doesn't even remotely look like a brooks kingsnake...... it is 100% a hybrid. Literally the only snake that looks like that is a Jungle corn. Do some research next time instead of spreading false information. Also "king snake" is 1 word.
You can tell based on the spotting in the patternation that it is a jungle corn, although it does looks like hypo brooks' kingsnakes which have yellow/black flecking on the sidewalls. But it cant be as hypo brooksi have really distinct eastern kingsnake patternation or literally barely any or no patternation. I dont know much about jungle corns (other than that kingsnake had a cornsnake pattern so it is a jungle corn most likely) but thats definitely the coolest thing he unboxed.

Hi Jade! How old is Arthur? He's doing great - he picks thru his salad to eat the acorn squash and carrot toppings first. He likes zooming around my bathroom floor while I am getting ready every morning. He likes to sit and watch tv with us at night and can see out a window during the day.

11:54 my boa is the same size and I greatly underestimated her until she bit me the first time recently. The absolute power in that animal astonished me. And it did hurt surprisingly bad. Not doing that again.

Judging how the first 4 leopard geckos were kept together, one probably ate all the food, or they all shared the food and only got 1/4 the normal amount
For merch, I recommend enamel pins based off of your personal reptiles! And/or based off of the animals that come through your house. I’d love to get a red-eared slider pin for my mom. They’re her favorite turtles.

@@Monke28281 a snake is a pet you’re going to have for at least the next 15 years. Instead of trying to find a beginner pet, find one that you love and will stay interested in. Then do a ton of research and have everything setup and ready before getting one. Also be prepared for worst case scenario’s such as them being picky eaters that way if you do end up in those situations it won’t be a deal breaker as you will already be prepared to deal with that

You should make videos on all the vetting you have to do with the animals. Then do follow ups and show up before/after from when you get them to now, and if you have to medicate them show us how you do it. 😊 those would be cool videos to watch. Also I think I'd like to see a video of how you clean up after unboxing and setting up all the cages for the animals! Thanks for all the awesome videos!!
20:32 Maybe it's the angle but to me that snake does not look too skinny, maybe slightly under weight. Down the mid section where the spine is flexed it doesn't look like you can see the ribs or vertebrae popping up. Not sure what to say about it's head though

Unfortunately that Chameleon most likely didn't make it. It was in really bad shape and Chameleons are very fragile reptiles :(
As the owner of a Nicaraguan Boa, they tend to be pretty grumpy haha, that's normal 😅 I love how small they are though.
I have a el salvador dwarf boa which is very similar and he is very grumpy 😂😂

There's a fine line between 'silly' and 'stupid'. While Alex is definately a silly chaos, he's far from being dangerously stupid.
