    I was going to ask what is the purpose of sway bars, but the last clip helped a lot.

      Yeah body roll is reduced quite a bit! I’ve had Perrin 25mm sway bars on the LGT for 5 plus years, they were one of the first mods I did along with the mini struts and swift springs and it turned the car into a totally different car.

    I’ve been looking for a rear window lip like that for my 2012 wrx. What one are you running

    why did you get an alignment done? did you just need to get one anyways? i didnt think you needed to get one done for just endlinks and swayybar

    • @avengednick
      @avengednick  3 роки тому

      We also made some adjustments to the coilovers and wanted to get it aligned with s the changes. You shouldn’t need an alignment if you’re just installing the sway bars and end links.

    Can you estimate total time for install, front and rear? Also, are torque specs available online somewhere?

    • @avengednick
      @avengednick  3 роки тому +1

      Depending on your tools and mechanical skills, I’d say 4-8 hours. And torque specs are online, I believe we found them on Whiteline’s site

      @@avengednick Definitely enjoyed the video! I don't know if you follow Blake's Garage but the key difference I saw there was that you jacked yours up where he put his on ramps. You also mentioned some "fine tuning" after your alignment. What did you have to adjust, if you don't mind my asking?

    • @avengednick
      @avengednick  3 роки тому +1

      Thank you, glad you enjoyed it! And I think putting it on ramps is technically the right way to do it, at least when tightening/torquing it down, that way it’s under load. As far as the fine tuning, Louis was just referring to the alignment getting dialed in as it was slightly out of alignment prior to going on the rack.

    Did you have any issues with your endlinks hitting your outer tie rods with the perrin sway?

    • @avengednick
      @avengednick  3 місяці тому

      We never had any issue with the end link itself hitting, but there a slight rubbing on the end of the sway bar where the end link connects that we haven’t sorted out

    • @evosarebetter
      @evosarebetter 3 місяці тому

      @@avengednick My bad, I meant sway bar on full turn will make contact with outer tie rod. Perrin told me to get bump steer kit and that should resolve it, but didn't. Does your whiteline sway bar do the same thing?

    • @avengednick
      @avengednick  3 місяці тому

      @@evosarebetter yup, sane issue with the Whiteline sway bar and this car has the bump steer kit as well. Never been able to get a good answer or solution from anyone unfortunately

    Looks like you already had upgraded swaybars, what size were those? I have a 25mm up front and I think it's too stiff for daily driving
