After a dearth of wildlife recently, we were treated to a smorgasbord of birds on this walk. As well as the usual expected suspects of Robin, Mute Swan and Mallard Duck, without a doubt, among the highlights were the Treecreeper, Kingfisher and Stonechat.
Some of the footage is not as sharp as we would like but, unless we have hours to wait in each location, it is very difficult to capture wildlife in its natural habitat. Unlike photography, which is just a fraction of a second in time, each clip we take is 5+ seconds in length. During that time, most birds will move much and often very quickly!
There was little drone footage for two reasons; firstly, it was very windy and, secondly, we did not want to disturb the wildlife unnecessarily, so just a few high level views.
All background and natural sounds were recorded during our time filming.
We hope you enjoyed watching as much as we enjoyed walking. If you did, please remember to click the thumbs up (like) button, and leave a comment.

Thank you for showing us the Beauty of Nature.
You are very welcome - thank you for watching.
How beautiful ! I bet the first snowdrops came out in your garden . Here in Hamburg we freeze from cold and snow . Stay health and safe 🌄
Thank you. Nature does the hard work - we just do our best to capture it! Our first snowdrops were out around Christmas, but it has been very cold here recently. Cold for us - -5C overnight! Thank you for watching and commenting.
Happy memories of years long ago when I often walked around the lake, rowed on its waters, or picnicked by its shore -- one of my most favourite places. You were certainly "up with the lark" that morning, or rather, with lots of other birds, all of which you filmed superbly. This combination of scenic walk and wildlife is unbeatable. Thank you for uploading another wonderful video.
Thank you, Jim, for your kind comments. Swanbourne is definitely a special place and early morning is the perfect time to avoid most dog walkers and all children!
What a beautiful video- so many birds ! We have a village called Swanbourne near us! No swans there as far as I know. At the moment our garden birds are absent. We wonder why. I put peanuts out yesterday afternoon and when I opened the curtains this morning they were still there! And I put some more out but only 1 pigeon & 1 magpie came. I put out some plain Madeira cake too & some still there tonight. Where have the blackbirds gone & the robins?
At least the ground is drying out & it is easier to walk about. Thank you!
Thank you - we are pleased you enjoyed it. It is odd how the birds' presence fluctuate. We had robins, dunnocks and sparrows etc in the garden, but since it turned colder, they have disappeared. Perhaps they go where the food is easiest to find, though it sounds like you could not make it easier for them! We were very fortunate on this walk, especially with the treecreeper and kingfisher.
Yes the tree creeper is special! I sat waiting to collect someone with a tree creeper very close! It was my only sighting! Thanks.
They are fascinating to watch, and always very busy!
Спасибо большое за чудесное путешествие!!!
