There are so many different opinions and outcomes with testing Maxamet. Here the steel shows to be handling being hammared through metal wire quite well, other vids show a opening a tin can chipping the shit out of the edge, while yet other vids show the maxamet opening a tin can just fine with little dulling to the edge. Gotta wonder if many of these heat treatments are hit and miss?? I'm considering sticking with my S110V.
Can’t decide between Para 3 in S45VN or Maxamet. Update: Got a para 3 in maxamet. It can’t cut paper for some reason when I tested it against the para 3 lightweight. Any thoughts?
I just ordered on in S45VN. From what I understand, Maxamet has better edge retention at the cost of being more likely to snap, chip, or crack. S45VN is also easier to sharpen.
Where did you get those scales ? I have para 2 and I really like your scales. The stock scales are to sharp of an edge ! Thanks for video! Love my blade !!
I have the para 3 and manix in Maxamet. Manix blade holds up better. Para has chipped several times on me. Once from hitting concrete and once from trying to use it in a small lock for an old chest. Both my fault.
Do you have good angle in both sides? If it is little off, it can damage/bent edge. If have perfect damage is minimal. own experience with ASP2060 and chicken bone. Knife have first sharp from hand from maker, it bent, i resharp it 17* both on kazak, and now i cut chicken and nothing more happen.

Search for Aramis knives.
Where did the cf scales come from? I’d love to get some.

@@grzegorzkoodziej3582 hmm well maybe thats the problem. Different angles.
My maxamet para 3 is coming Saturday.
Mr T Yeah, I’m going to order one too. Where did you order it from?
hi, I just purchased Spyderco Para 3 Maxamet for only 150$ usd in Aliexpress! I can't wait! this look promising
How did it hold up? I'd be too worried that it's a fake, coming from AliExpress.
It could be a factory second as well.
Prolly fake. They don’t make them in china so why would they sell them from china. Unless there are USA sellers
The edge is definitely a little flat, from the copper staple, but not rolled.
Maxamet will not roll, ever. It will barely even form a burr.
Just don't drop it fragile like glass 😂😂
#maxametdontgiveashit! Lol
