No... Fieldy uses a 5 string so the string that 99% of KoRns songs are mainly playedon is the B string. Of course, Fieldy drops the tuning down one full step so it's technically an A string that he is slapping. ADGCF
Dayne Stafford you sir, are incorrect. The gentleman below has already explained but five string bass guitars usually take on a low b. Hence their popularity amongst heavy metal bass players.
I saw the title "Korn: Fieldy Shares His Bass Wisdom". and said to myself "that's got to be one short video". I clicked on it out of curiosity and it's one minute 39 seconds long. xD hahaha
I find it funny how many people here are saying Fieldy "isin't talented" But yet.............How many of you have records on the shelves, or are well known musicians that make a full living off of it?...................................That would be NONE.
People just hate puting years and years into the Bass and not even being valuable. Fieldy pisses them all off because he made sucess with an instrument that "technical" players never did. General run of the mill bassists are some of the most replaceable and unmissable members of any band, and it sets their asses on fire that Fieldy is AS successful as he is. He IS Korn
@@ashirrelevent1062I always thought his tone was unique, and always wished that he spent more time with his instrument. He's...not a great musician. Before anyone asks where my album is, which one of the 503 recordings I've played bass on do you wanna hear, and what genre?
Fieldy Bass Wisdom: Slap that B, Das it mane
I lost it.😂😂

More like slap that A. They use an extra string AND they tune the whole thing down a whole step.
2016 and klick Fieldy bass sound is still amazing and adorable
Yeah clearly hearing it but it's defo quieter than the debut, lip and ftl days but I like it!
You have not only risen to but surpassed the challenge with excellence.
Fieldy is not about skill... I mean... he REALLY isn't but i always liked his tone.
Cheesy Cola agreed

BeforeReform so you have to go check out there Channel to find the other video.
Keep slapping that Bass
lol I wonder if he looks back at this like, "WTF did I say that for?" Good ol' Fieldy..
Korn isn't and never was about technicality...a real and respectable musician knows that.

If you want technicality go listen to Rush. Technical but not a single good song.

Compared to other bassists he really isnt at all. He is successful but he isnt a great bassist
