Really like this format of video. Getting opinions from your audiophile community in their room is a brilliant move, both to get feedback and to get your amp more widely exposed. It is entertaining and informative while being a great PR piece. Keep it up. I enjoy it even though I'm not a customer. (only because I am happy with existing rig. If I was shopping I'd definitely try you amp)
Wow I couldn’t believe Thomas had short period of time listen to valves amp and now can tell which valves to select to matching a system. Respect listening experience .
This is a stellar endorsement, that can trade blows with McIntosh mono-blocks. But Thomas!! I've been watching all these videos and I realized that the TS120 is missing something. You must have the faceplates printed with numbered volume steps and most importantly, it must go to 11!
No, from what I remember, the 105 does not have punchy bass despite having a big woofer. The Galion strong bass will be good with it on the low end. The 105, depending on the Gen, can be quite lively on the top end, with the Special edition, it should be fine but with the standard edition, I have to listen to be sure, of course once I use tone control, it is a non issue.
Best KT 88 were GEC and original Tesla..........6550A from Tungsol/Sylvania/GE.................all these tubes are obsolete.............new production may only come close ...sometimes. I can only comment on the looks. It looks at home with Mr. Wilson's system. Mr. Wilson you have a very well designed system. Could you talk more about standby mode as I turn my system on when I get up and off when I go to bed. Would standby be good for me when I go out for a few hours?

@@zelmoziggy It depends cause compared to amps like Willsenton or Reisong, it is not a bargain. However, as common sense would have it, Galion has to be good value cause it is not an established brand. Else, might as well get Prima Luna, Audio research, Cayin and so forth.
@@ThomasAndStereo No, it doesn't have to be good value. Anyone who buys audio equipment based on a social media "review" without listening to it first is a fool.
As an audiophile who enjoys talking to others who are passionate about music, I will never insult someone else system. I will on the contrary praise others for taking the time to put a system that is to their taste. For me, it is not a pissing contest.
At £24000 pounds for the Wilson's, you can do far better for your money, for example the most expensive version of the special edition active crossover 65 kilogram ATC SCM50ASL SE, which will wipe the floor with the overpriced Wilsons 🤣. Also your amplifier power is going to go absolutely no where, but overload distortion sound when you want loud clear clear sound, which you ain't going to get with a three passive with your amp IMHO 🤣. Don't mean to rain on your parade, but it is the truth all the same.

Really nice to hear the amp is holding it's own and winning some Audiophile approvals / points =) Great job!!

“One word: Smooth like butter”. 😂 You’re funny
I'd be interested in a more in-depth discussion on the tone controls. One day I hope to give the TS120 a try, it seems to tick every box.
I will make a whole video on the Galion tone control.
good stuff Thomas - very happy for you
Thanks for the visit
THANKS THOMAS…AND MR WILSON🤗..WE LOVE ❤️ AND APPRECIATE YOU SHARING THIS WITH US… allowing us a taste 😋 of all the varieties of systems 👍😍😍😍
Glad you enjoyed it
This is a damn effective way to market your amp 👏 curious if other boutique producers will pick up on it, I have my doubts.
How is this effective? I have no reason to believe a word he says.
Will have to try it for yourself! After all there is a trial period ;)
Did Mr. Wilson want to trade his system for your Gillian amp? Please do a follow-up video and let us know. Thanks you sir
How did he have less bass with the 601’s vs the 8000? Everything I hear about monoblocks and bass control is much better than Intergrated
Just simply how the amp is voiced. They can voice it being linear or V curve.
Would like to know how does it sound on Klipsch Heresy IV and Klipsch Forte IV.
Soon, I will make a video on Klipsch.

He recently changed from Siltech to Transparent.

Haha, he is thinking going ATC active.

Well, standby mode basically turns off the amp. Once you take it out of standby mode, it would take some time to sound it's best.
