It doesn't need it. Drive to survive bring extreme toxic people to F1. MotoGP have enough toxicity without needing more. And no it doesn't necessarily need to be more popular.
Nope. Look at COTA, both F1 and MotoGP run that track yearly. On the back straight the top speed record goes to Motogp. when f1 comes into the straight faster and brakes much later
@@br1anzkilLs the aero is very draggy for f1. if you took a more slippery car, they would go faster. or if you look at drag strip... your average non-motogp liter bike (r1, s1000rr etc) will probably reach about 190. that's corvette numbers.
Today, F1 had 4 over takes in Monaco. MotoGP had 5 lead changes, MM93 went from 14th on the grid to 3rd place. Pecco went from 1st to 3rd and ran down Martin 1.3sec lead and passed him in 6 laps. MotoGP is a lot more exciting.

How do you feel about this year 5 months later? At the start of the year I was ffs another 23 again. I was prepared for another boring season but now today I can say this is the best season since 2012!
f1 not exist in real life.. superbike exist, real & we can ride on the road .. also more fun to watch.. moto gp more worth it to watch.. and tickets even more cheaper.. 😂❤
Watching motorcycle racing is more exciting but if I were to race myself I'd rather get in a car, which is way safer in comparison to bikes, on which mistakes typically lead to gravel, just as you mentioned at the end. I already had a couple of crashes on regular track days I've been to on my R6 and I am so done fixing it over and over again :/
some of the biggest reasons are in F1, they do their best at qualy, and have already decided during their 3 practices what their race pace will be. Also in F1 they want a tire to last the entire race so they can stay on track and maybe make up some positions. BUT this means they are constantly managing their tires to last 50-60 laps, which is not racing. Another thing about their race pace, is they decide what it is, and simply try to manage fuel, tires, and hold their position, so they can get their points in their standings for the end of the year. Its not boring, its actually a strategic slow asz bicucle race.
MotoGP was not boring, now is heading to be a 2 wheels F1, and boring also. Aero should be off, less power and no electronics; then again the rider will make the difference.
I really don't understand in what way the tech advancements is going to make the motogp more boring. Is it case where the better bikes are gonna start riding them selves or the riders are going to start over taking less? And let's be fr riders are still gonna make a difference with or without electronics let's be fr. Imo it gets boring only one person is hungry for the win. I started watching last year so ion where it's coming from. but bikes getting faster and teams being innovative on what's the fastest thing rn can't be boring unless only one rider in the fastest team wants to win and only the fastest team is trying to get their bikes faster. I genuinely don't understand why it is aero = boring
Would love more motorcycle content again. So sad that you injured your foot and had to stop... is the ankle still getting better? Anyway, all your content is nice! Keep up the good work buddy! ❤
Car content is boring. Mainly because not many of us mere mortals can afford cars and trackdays. Bike content was excellent as this is something anyone of us can do in real life.
If i could change 1 thing about F1, it would be to no longer have solid surface outside of the track limit. Grass outside of the track, will make missing a corner costly.
MotoGP is getting more and more boring too, becausse of the aero. If a rider doesn´t qualify for the first 5 or 6 places on the grid, probably he will never get to the front, unless someone crashes. WSBK and Moto3 still have real races.
Although there was not that much in the video that I didn't already know, more or less, it was entertaining and fun, and the details were informative. Well done. Oh and I still follow motogp but stopped watching F1 about 3 years ago.
bikes also got more complex dynamics, more involvement of the driver, bigger risk etc. thus require more physical and mental skill and thus operates on higher margins of errors. Just think about the tires - they are made to lean. That are different cornering forces than a car relies on ,not to forget sometimes only one tire is in touch with the ground changing the whole dynamics again. It is a totally different game - a lot can go wrong.
MotoGP is unfortunately becoming more like F1 everyday, with excessively reliance on electronics and aero, sure the wings are smaller but I can definitely see change in the riding style which is becoming more processional. It is still very good racing but a bit worrying with the direction it's going. WSBK have better racing at the moment, more affordable and more manufacturers who can equally fight for podiums. Also more overtaking doesn't equate to more excitement. It's the car or bike that can follow each other closely and race side by side that make racing exciting. You can have a race with 1000 DRS overtakes, it will not make F1 more exciting.
On the technical side, this video is perfect. But there is one thing i always tell people that somehow no one really recognizes. Its a thing you feel as a motorcycle rider. Motogp or motorcycles in general are much more "dynamic" or "aesthetic". Like with the bike, cornering is some kind of flow, the rider doesnt have to fight the corner, the rider goes with the flow. There is no lateral g force (yeah technically there is but you dont experience it as lateral, it just presses you into the bike). Its just a beauty of racing, seeing all the competitors flowing through the track as a river. On the other hand, car racing is just not aesthetic. Especially formula one where drifts and sideways movements are really rare. Its basically just a line of cars, fighting the lateral g forces on rails. Obviously its also some kind of art to drive as perfect as the f1 drivers do. But its just not aesthetically pleasing.
I'm a die hard motorbike guy but I'm not sure I follow your argument. A real difference between the current sports is definitely though that MotoGP looks FAST, and F1 doesn't. This is why V8 Supercars in Australia is so competitive. Clutching and out-braking your opponent is completely possible and often done. This is why I enjoy it a lot more than F1 as a car racing series.
I haven´t watched F1 in years but I love GT3 and Cup racing. Absolutely understand, that it is not possible to compare F1 to GT3 or MotoGP to GT3/Cup racing. But one of the main reasons GT3 is so much more entertaining and you have way more overtakes in my opinion is, that it is not possible to get better technology by investing more money, but you have to buy a car and make it work for you and your team. And those cars can take a little beating. Leaning on each other, bumping the rear a bit to gain an advantage. And most important, every manufacturer has a completely different concept. A 911 racing an M4 racing a Hurracan. In the DTM, the highest level of GT3 racing on the globe, place 1 to 20 qualify within 1 second, sometimes even less. And the crazy thing about that is, one day one driver wins, the next he is dead last. Absolutely love it. Or watch Porsche Carrera Cup Germany, or BMW M2 Cup. Everyone has the same car and the best driver wins.

The question becomes is lots of overtaking and being able to overtake actually good racing. I find when the performance of the car is manufactured to be so different at a different time of the race (due to tyres, fuel, DRS etc) that the overtakes are often expected and dull. Cars trying to follow closely and look for an opening whilst going very quickly is very exciting even if the overtake is in the end not able to be made. I don't know about bikes but in F1 the size and extreme fine performance window makes the margins for a normal overtake very fine.
As a fan of both, objectively speaking: MotoGP has way better action, but not enough media coverage or the fanbase is just not as hyperactive as F1's and no even as much Socials reach. There's something wrong and I can't put a correct diagnosis on it.
To be completely fair, 4 wheeler racing is simply more popular than bike racing. Doesnt matter how much coverage motoGP will get. For example, motoGP is much more popular and mainstream than WEC. Yet the numbers are not as far as you would think they'd be.
Nice! Im still subscribed! Its probably just its been a while since i watch racing contents again. Good to see you and keep sharing! You always inspire me.
formula 1 is now become a One team Sports and the way FIA treats other team is raising questions and the audience is now been moving on from its platform
If you want close car racing there's always the tin tops, not afraid to rub some doors :) and the Porsche Supercup races during some F1 European weekends are just great fun 😂
DRS should be an "at will" button where you get 6 seconds per lap (depending on the size of the lap of course) that you can deploy a long with your battery power.
I don't race cars or motos. But I do like to push my car to the limits and same with my bicycles. I learned the hard way growing up biking about always making sure u slow down enough. I got multiple scars from fucking up on the breaks either to much or not slowing down enough. 1 in particular from bombing a hill and thinking I could take a hard left going 50mph on a bike😂. My front tire said nice try buddy and sent me hard into the curb.
Ground effect cars did make better racing…. but F1 messed up introducing new Regs, and a cost cap at the same time…. If Merc and Ferrari could invest like they used to you’d have a fight at the front but they literally aren’t allowed too.
@NaskaAlbertoENG Love your content, so please keep it coming, looking forward to seeing the Formula X Pro, Lotus cup and Mitjet race videos. I transferred from the old account so saw a lot of your races over the the last year and a half, I love what you're doing The Test/Races vlogs and then these sort of vids. I have to agree and the only GP I have seen live was Moto GP back in the days in Assen, I guess 20 years ago. But I still stick to F1, and I don't know why ;-)
Exactly the point. Today's f1 cars are bigger and heavier than they've been in years. Reduce them dimensionally and we would probably see more competitive racing. Smaller, more nimble is the way to go.
Hello Naska, Thanks for a great video. Can you also explain why the slipsteam does not seem to work most of the times? I barelly see it working in F1, even if the cars have almost the same exit. This happens sometimes on MotoGP but only if the driver behind is very close. And why is it so easy in Moto3? Seems couterintuitive. When you are cicling you feel the sleepsteam going 20km/h, also when you 40km/h you feel it twice as much, from farther away: logically the higher the speed the easier and the stronger the slipstream is, but it does not seem to be true. Also if the downforce is harmful in MotoGP, then why Marqez tries to follow Bagnaia in Qalifying? Thanks.
moto gp used to have the tyres sorted to perfection, down to the last lap infamous battles, not watched since marquez prime days so maybe has changed. F1 is all about the PU or now aero dominated formula. and they run on rubbish tracks where already difficult overtaking is impossible, not sure what they expect to happen 😅
Well, I think it's a few things why MotoGP is better than F1 1: Rossi was likeable than Schumacher was. This might be biased but I started watching MotoGP religiously because of Rossi. 2: MotoGP is shorter and creates a lot of hype 3: Sounds weird, the crashes are so random, you are on the edge of the seat Currently, however, with Yamaha & Honda struggling and the dominance of Ducati, it's similar to RB, the results are predictable... To make F1 exciting, we just need a competitive grid championship kinda like F2 is... So, Pirelli can start bringing extreme ranges for the tires to spice up the strategy for example hards and super softs for this weekends Australian F1
Yup. For now i agree. But the way its going at the moment, motogp isbst risk losing japanese manufacturers. If theyre gone, the viewers will drop in millions.
lets not pretend "old F1" (V10 era) had less overtakes due to size of the car or aerodynamics or anything, the only reason we have so many overtakes now in current era F1 is because of the stupid DRS bs, yes we get a lot of overtakes but they mean nothing its just one car behind pressing a button like the nitro button in a need for speed game and overtaking the car in front with zero battle or hardship. Yes, V10 era F1 had less overtakes but the ones we had were actual overtakes and not just cars zooming past each other for the entire race, most drivers don't even try to defend the position, just stay close and wait for the next DRS zone
Single Manufacturers dominate in Moto GP just as they do in F1, no body was moaning when Marc Marques had the fastest bike for years and couldn't be beaten, before that Rossi , now it's Ducati.....for me Moto GP has less drama and razzmatazz and the races are much shorter, they're like the sprint races in F1
Is F1 seeing less overtakes because it's an open wheel class? I guess the potential for critical damage when hitting an opponent is much larger than with closed wheel specs or motorcycles. So pushing your car when there's a tiny gap is a much higher risk maneuver than with other classes of vehicles. Is this something that has influence?
Being a crazy fan of both- I'd say F1 is like a fine artist creating a painting in his room whereas MotoGP is a Graffiti writer doing his usual stuff hanging off a harness from the top floor of a skyscraper. The only 4 wheeled competition that comes close to MotoGP is probably WRC.
Stats means nothing, maybe we have more overtakes today but mostly with DRS, instead back then you had to prepare your pass. 1 real overtake is worth more than a 100 with DRS !
Basic history exposes that sports originated from the boredom of men after the danger of wars. This applies to motorsports as it was a dangerous past time during the past world wars. Fitting, the more dangerous 2 wheel racing is more in line with the the heritage and that is what entertains us. Realistically, there really is no need to speed as speeding is dangerous and requires good engineering to execute. Psychologically, that implies that we men are entertained in racing as we see different teams experiment with different innovations and see the drivers/riders perform life threatening racing just for the heck of winning. That said, the current 4 wheel racing is so advanced, is so safe, is so fast, and is so evenly restricted that it lost its roots as being a danger-to-adrenaline entertainment. Add that teams have barely anything creative "mods" to set them apart and F1 has thus become a boring feat of regulated engineering. People forget that all sports has two factors - 1 pushing the participants to human limits and 2 ensuring the paying watchers are entertained.
"In motorcycle what happens when u lock the front wheel?...Ok! what happens if u break too much?...Ok! what happens if u enter a conner too fast?" Best part ROFL 🤣🤣
Modern day racing is boring. We don't enjoy it much but you need to understand that racing is a playground to develop a technology that's why they started racing each other . I guess the should remove aero from Moto GP and drs from f1 . There should be a budget cap for all teams
F1 fans will tell you that F1 is not just about overtaking and it is much more than that, blah blah blah, yet we see how excited the sports commentators were at the start of the lights outs and when 2 cars went side by side into a corner.
Max Verstappen doesn’t usually used the “ideal line” He usually used a line that allows for maximum acceleration out of the corner which is slightly longer and required a more aggressive turn in than the “ideal line” Just saying theres definitely more than one “ideal line” depending on the situation and the corner
But the difference between the "ideal line" and the line someone with a different driving style uses is very, VERY small. So what Alberto said still applies 100%. Going around another car in the corner throws any good racing line in the trash.
Too many rules in F-1 under the guise of "Safety" have Frankenstein the cars. The cars became as long as city buses, and tracks became too narrow as well. Don't worry, they are doing the same B-rainless S-tupidity to the bikes soon for 2027.

@@philipchouliaras5879 yeah makes sense. more people easier to relate to 4 wheeler rather than 2 wheeler.
Great vid Alberto! Hopefully this channel will reach the same amount of subs as your other channel soon!
Formula 1 is boring, MotoGP is becoming boring, WSBK is not boring.
Aged like crap
I love both, I can comfortably enjoy MotoGP if F1 feels boring and vice versa.
What is MotoGP? I only saw the Ducati Cup😂😂😂
Yesterday race much better than F1 race whole season 😂 Aprillia ktm beat Ducati cup 😂
Motorcycle content, Woohoo naska welcome back :P
Cars are always slower than bikes. Because with 2x wheels, they are not twice as fast.
less downforce, more power, and a form of DRS/KERS for coming out of corners to help with acceleration
Had fun watching, didnt skip a sec. Cheers mate !
I just found you back Alberto. Why do u only have 28k subs now? I used to watch u years ago!
Hi! Here is the answer: ua-cam.com/video/Z438DOkF9rg/v-deo.html&pp=ygUaaSB3aWxsIGRlbGV0ZSB0aGlzIGNoYW5uZWw%3D
Nah thats brutal
Ground effect cars did make better racing…. but F1 messed up introducing new Regs, and a cost cap at the same time…. If Merc and Ferrari could invest like they used to you’d have a fight at the front but they literally aren’t allowed too.
@NaskaAlbertoENG
Love your content, so please keep it coming, looking forward to seeing the Formula X Pro, Lotus cup and Mitjet race videos. I transferred from the old account so saw a lot of your races over the the last year and a half, I love what you're doing The Test/Races vlogs and then these sort of vids. Good luck for the up and coming season, stay safe, and keep it FLAT OUT!
I have to agree and the only GP I have seen live was Moto GP back in the days in Assen, I guess 20 years ago. But I still stick to F1, and I don't know why ;-)
Thanks for the in depth analysis!
Using both legs for breaking is crazy
Exactly the point. Today's f1 cars are bigger and heavier than they've been in years. Reduce them dimensionally and we would probably see more competitive racing. Smaller, more nimble is the way to go.
I enjoyed the v8 supercar photos throughout
rally car is way better than f1 when it comes in 4wheel racing
Hello Naska,
Thanks for a great video.
Don't forget how F1 is basically endurance racing now where you have to take care of the tires instead of pushing.
Half the calendar is on the same tracks lol
Well, I think it's a few things why MotoGP is better than F1
1: Rossi was likeable than Schumacher was. This might be biased but I started watching MotoGP religiously because of Rossi.
2: MotoGP is shorter and creates a lot of hype
3: Sounds weird, the crashes are so random, you are on the edge of the seat
Currently, however, with Yamaha & Honda struggling and the dominance of Ducati, it's similar to RB, the results are predictable...
To make F1 exciting, we just need a competitive grid championship kinda like F2 is...
So, Pirelli can start bringing extreme ranges for the tires to spice up the strategy for example hards and super softs for this weekends Australian F1
I have already watched 2024 F1 season. Red Bull car is going to win with Max Verstapen. Bye.
*You sure about that?*
@@lingonberryjam320 YES. 50 points ahead of the second one. I told you 5 months ago. Bye

Would enforcing a maximum drag coefficient help F1 racing?
Great video!
I feel like motogp is way more fun but less popular while car racing is way more popular but less fun, this is just my opinion btw
Yes, V10 era F1 had less overtakes but the ones we had were actual overtakes and not just cars zooming past each other for the entire race, most drivers don't even try to defend the position, just stay close and wait for the next DRS zone
you are the best, for explanation and clear of concepts. TY
What bike is Alberto’s machine of choice? I’m thinking Ducati Panigale… what size?
Thank you for very interesting comparison
Single Manufacturers dominate in Moto GP just as they do in F1, no body was moaning when Marc Marques had the fastest bike for years and couldn't be beaten, before that Rossi , now it's Ducati.....for me Moto GP has less drama and razzmatazz and the races are much shorter, they're like the sprint races in F1
Just imagine we're witnessing the death of EVERY Motorsports. Luckily some remains intact like TT or hillclimb but for how long ..?
Very insightful analysis
Is F1 seeing less overtakes because it's an open wheel class? I guess the potential for critical damage when hitting an opponent is much larger than with closed wheel specs or motorcycles. So pushing your car when there's a tiny gap is a much higher risk maneuver than with other classes of vehicles. Is this something that has influence?
Bravo nasca non sapevo che parlassi inglese nice 😮
When is Netflix doing a MotoGP series?
Perfect video. Well done and thank you. KEEP GOING
If there was less overtake in 2000s is because there was no drs back then also overtzkes were more spectacular
People forget that all sports has two factors - 1 pushing the participants to human limits and 2 ensuring the paying watchers are entertained.
love love love these type of videos, would appreciate more please
WSBK and my new favorite Moto America
F1 cars are now too heavy and too wide. I enjoy both but MotoGP is more exciting.
Max Verstappen doesn’t usually used the “ideal line”
He usually used a line that allows for maximum acceleration out of the corner which is slightly longer and required a more aggressive turn in than the “ideal line”
Just saying theres definitely more than one “ideal line” depending on the situation and the corner
But the difference between the "ideal line" and the line someone with a different driving style uses is very, VERY small. So what Alberto said still applies 100%. Going around another car in the corner throws any good racing line in the trash.
@@nevarran That’s why F1 has DRS
I love the video thanx for that!! Valentino Rossi Always in our heart hehe ;P
pole position in mugello 2023 was 1:44.850
surely it would be close to 1:43:9xx or at least 1:44.2xx this year with desmosedici gp24
we (peaple) uselly ride bike , so we relate..
Too many rules in F-1 under the guise of "Safety" have Frankenstein the cars.
The cars became as long as city buses, and tracks became too narrow as well.
Don't worry, they are doing the same B-rainless S-tupidity to the bikes soon for 2027.
Thank you for fantastic video 👍👍👍
Nothing like GP 3 until last curve no one knows who is going to win
I believe its called venturi tunnels and not venturi channels
What I learned from this video. Gokarts are the ultimate car
In car racing it’s 70% the car and 30% the driver, it’s opposite in Motorcycle racing where it’s 70% rider 30% the bike.
Thats just not true but ight bud

I didn't knew moto gp bikes were so big.
Love both series, moto gp is more exiting becouse more different riders can win.
Who want’s to have millions and a broken body ? Rossi once said..
“Take the electronics away” OK I remember that. Cannot ignore that, although I would like to. But look at the difference. And MM crashing a lot is not the point, he was just pissed with it all. Understandable. His talent on a Honda is a waste for surely even the Rossi fans. Come on. Take away MM and Jack and there is not much crashing. Jack… I started off making an argument and now, it is so grey. Who wants to have millions and a wheel chair? Bugger, I forgot the girls. No wheel chair thank you!!!!!!
