- Palatka, Florida is located about one hours west of Saint Augustine. It's a quaint little historic town. If you happen to be passing through, be sure to check out the murals, Ravine Gardens State Park, and Corky Belle's Seafood at Gator Landing. Palatka, FL

Palatka is only 30 minutes from St.Augustine.Great video guys, thanks, not much on our little city. That giant tree at the court house is what protestors have been trying to get removed lately! I hope they never do.Its soo incredible,so many people married under it and Ive hung out w/ my friend for picnics there too!!
Palatka is so small but full of so much love for each other and adventure and it’s close to a lot like St Augustine is like 45 minutes away and many more people judge it a lot but you really can’t Judge a book by it’s cover❤️
We went there the first time because we were going to visit St. Augustine but the hotel was cheaper in Palatka, and we enjoyed it so much that we went back at the time of this video. We’ll probably go back again, too. Our video-making/editing skills have improved at least somewhat since this video and we could probably make a better video now.
Plus, there were a few things we didn’t get to do on that trip.
Palatka my home town! Great vid, I love Corky Bells!
Yes! So good! Especially the hush puppies!
Beautifully done 💝 love, love Palatka..
We also have the Blue crab festival which has been postponed due to virus but alot of people attend, the East palatka fair in March, many Bass tournaments, some are televised.. Palatka has a new boat that occasionally takes people out on the river (usually during festivals.. and the St. John's center near the clocktower.. and I agree with Corky Bells.. the best shrimp in town.. in May we have sailboat races and during peak season the river front has many out shrimping off the docks.. periodically a cruise ship will dock at the public boat ramp..
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed! What are you favorite things to do in Palatka?
Nice video 7 generations of my family have been born and raised in Palatka. I did giggle at the corkybells pond/lake as it is the St. John's river. Thanks for showing how awesome our little town is.
Next time we go, would like to see the Bronson Mullholland House.
Palatka is such a neat little town. It’s too bad that Ravine Gardens was partially closed during this visit. Next time we visit, I want to visit the Bronson Mulholland House.
Hey this is a really cool video. I never really been to Palatka but watching this makes me want to visit. Beautiful town!
It’s a pretty cool place. We’ve been a couple of times.
@@AikenAdventuresYou're lucky.
It's horrible, I live here
@@JVReySolos Seriously? It can't be that bad
@@floridaguy7957 it isn't i have lived here most of my life. you just have to get creative with finding things to do here

Also did you go in Angels Diner? Its a railcar!! Pretty awesome :D
We didn’t get to eat there during this trip. We were only around for one evening and ate a Corky Bells, but were delighted to discover the diner. We did include it in the video, but didn’t actually go in to eat.
For the record, Billy Graham was not born in Palatka, Florida. He was born in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Thanks. I got that statement a little mixed up. My apologies.
My brother and cousin both worked for Angels diner. I moved out of Florida in 2007. It was such a nice little town to live in. Still have family there
Palatka does seem like a nice town.
ravine gardens is the best
It was partially closed during this trip, but we were there before when some of the azaleas were in bloom! So nice!
Real Estate could be a more affordable alternative than St. Augustine, more bang for your buck.
That’s probably true. Haven’t looked into the market.
palatka is my home town to
That’s very cool! How do you like living there?
Interesting video. Thank you.
You’re welcome! Visiting Palatka?
@@AikenAdventures I live just north of Palatka +/- 15 miles. Do you two live in the area, too? ....I may have missed that in your vid. Your vid popped up, and it caught my eye. Pretty well done. All the best to your family.
No, we live on the Treasure Coast.
@@AikenAdventures You are definitely south of Palatka, but STILL on the Atlantic side. All of you be safe, and it's a pleasure "meeting" you. I'll watch for your vids.

Looks like a charming town. The diner with the outdoor area overlooking the lake looks so nice!
It’s pretty nice. We want to go back at a time when we can check out the Bronson Mulholland House. Also, during the visit in this video, Ravine gardens was not fully open, so we hope to head back up there again sometime!
The Rolle Family owned the Charlotte’s Rollestown Plantation there in the past. My family members were slaves on Deny Rolle’s plantation. When the plantation failed he transported his slaves to Exuma Bahamas. Sure, wish there were murals of Palatka’s historical slave plantation past. Amazing how minorities are written out of Florida’s history. It’s actually disgraceful.
Wow! Sad!
We're past that now. Those types of things create bad memories and angst. Should it be in history books, sure, but in the city, we like to look at the brighter side of things.
Damn near blew my car speakers. You keep your dialog well BELOW UA-cam standards. Then you have the nerve of finding the LOUDEST music you can have without clipping distortion. I have never seen anything worse than yours.
Sorry for the bad experience there. This was one of our earliest videos. We were just getting started in UA-cam and video editing, and audio was a significant challenge for us in the early days especially.
Just want to say, you handled this person with far more grace than many YT presenters would have in response to such an unnecessarily rude comment. Kudos for your tactfulness. 👍🍪
If the audio was so horribly off, this person could have quit watching...or maybe watched somewhere other than their vehicle, where they'd have their hands free to adjust the volume. 🤷♀️ WTF were they doing watching YT videos when they're driving anyway?! 🤦♀️ Holy cow some people are obtuse. 😂 I didn't notice anything wrong with the audio, so even if it was an early vid on your channel, y'all did a great job. 😊
@Khaotic_Peace thanks for the kind words. We appreciate you watching!
We don’t always get it right, but we try to remember:
”and be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.“
Ephesians 4:32
