When I was a delegate I had one politician come up to me saying that I looked so familiar to him as he pumped my hand with his introduction. He asked if we’d met.
I said oh yes we’ve met but not in person until now. I introduced myself by name and he lowered his head and said “Oh Facebook”.
He wasn’t so big and brave face to face.
I’d called him out for telling a voter to get off his back about the fact that he had not even read a bill that he was voting for that was unconstitutional.
He was pretty embarrassed and definitely deserved it.

Calling for them to never have a "peaceful moment in public again" is a rally to all to protest them. Don't let them go to restaurants and eat in peace, don't let them go to the movies without hearing boos and chants, don't let them get on public transportation without hearing protests, etc. That's a pretty fucking far cry from 'break into their house with a gun, 2 magazines, and zipties'. I'm not supporting this, I'm not validating her response, but be on the level - nowhere in her tweets does she call for them to be accosted or harassed in private. She calls for publicly humiliating and protesting them in public. That's all.

Between friends it's akin to "fuck off" (in a joking way), "get drunk", "get high", or even "go fuck your girl, were good here" I'd they mentioned their gf in a lovey dovey way.
To non friends or people you don't like, "get fucked" could mean- go fuck yourself, fuck you, I don't like you, you're an idiot, that was dedrateR(read it backwards), or just something as simple as "I don't care" or "not interested" about the current topic.
And they tried to claim it was a rape threat XD
Now I have to be careful because they used that to put me on a list for other things.
I think what they were trying to pin me with was terroristic threats. Because I regularly used to say things like "revolution is necessary and warranted, we need to vote out ALL the current government officials." I assume they listed me as such because to them, any form of revolution is violence and murder. In other words a threat to their power.

That is a monumental escalation of tantrum for somebody that didn't like how a legal decision went.
Also, Rep. Mace was making the very obvious point that the verbiage of this gives the person posting it the maximum amount of space to make it clear their intention to encourage others to do harm while maintaining that they're simply being misunderstood. I actually disagree entirely, I think it’s a blatant and unimaginative way of trying to shame someone who said something objectively true. And is an unfortunate trend we see in US politics of blaming voters and constituents for politicians’ incompetence. Let’s be clear, no where in the tweets does it mention anything abt physical accosting, it constantly mentions public accost and civil duties. Why is this important? Because there is no room for violence in a civil democracy, but there is room for civil disobedience. That is to say, we make a deal with elected officials, if we put them in power, and pay our taxes and follow their laws, they protect our rights and liberties. If they fail to hold their end of the deal, it’s unconscionable for them to expect us to hold ours. So like, I’m sorry that this representative feels threatened and has been the victim of genuine crimes, but to blame this on the people who hold her accountable when she fails is so silly and corrupt. I’m not American, but this trend of politicians on both sides blaming voters and constituents for not voting, for trump, for Biden is so pathetic, recently Michelle Obama did this. Politicians need to give a reason for people to vote, for people to be energized and support candidates that actually help them. And they are failing terribly. So yes, justices, elected officials and anyone else in power should be publicly accosted for when they fail the people, it’s a civil duty because when you don’t do so, they will continue to fail you.

@@guyincognito8440 my apologies Guy Icognito as you appear to have the skills of a master interrogator. I am fairly certain you are the type that has the illusory sense of possessing the enviable, omnipotent powers of interrogation while actually lacking even a scintilla of persuasive skills. But hey, I am sure you possess Herculean powers of interrogation and have a 💯 success rate.

This line of questioning only works because all leftists want one set of standards that applies to them, meanwhile another applies to everyone else. So when Mace was recanting her views on “threats to our democracy,” they in their heads were thinking, “Well, Trump was a threat to our democracy because he used all this inciting rhetoric, we had a right-winged Capitol riot on Jan. 6, and Republicans are literally doing everything to undermine our democracy”.
Yet, when their actions are brought to their attentions, they are initially astounded that people even are questioning their rationale. The issue with the left isn’t the double standards because they have no standards-and any acts to question their actions is frankly a mischaracterization of their views.
Try to peg that square into the circle.
