- LEGO The Hobbit is, on it's own, a controversial game. Outside of the public consensus, though, lies one of LEGO's most integral speedruns, one that shaped the future of ALL LEGO games, and created one heck of a story along the way. So, let's find out how speedrunners pushed this game below 10 minutes!

Hope you guys enjoy, big thanks to Hamster for helping me understand this crazy game! What do you want to see next?
cooking video.
I think a Vampire Survivors Speedrun video would be neat since it just seems like such a fixed time game, I'd be interested in seeing if there were actually time saves in it.
A video about Lego hp 1-4 hand held.
Harry Potter please
Lego batman speed runs if there is any
Technically, nobody has ever beaten this game because it's only two-thirds finished.
That confused me so much when I was a kid.
@@verylostdoommarauderYeah. I think it had something to do with the movie adaptation of the book being split into a trilogy.
@@TreblePhoenixit was going to be finished via free dlc, but they never put that out. Essentially they sold a full game but only actually gave us 2/3. Should have been illegal.
@@isaacholzwarth wow. I wish they did give us the free DLC that was promised
That makes sense
just 100% this game again this year it’s so good. only wish they released the third movie.
I know. I usuaslly beat the game once a year. It is a fun process to 100%. I wish they'd make the last 3rd. But it is probably trapped in legal hell.
Great video :) a couple of things to note for those who want a bit extra. The very first runs with the 1-13 level skip hit the door for room 2 of level 13, Jack/Los's setup was even better than just saving the time of hovering as it saved a couple of minutes but hitting the room 3 door, and made this consistent. Also, Hamster's first sub 2 hour Any% was heartbreakingly not saved on twitch, meaning it couldn't be accepted as a WR on the boards. Everyone forgot about this pretty soon after as a week later the WR was 14:15, 45s short of a full 2 hour improvement of the official WR
kinda crazy to think the time to beat this game is shorter than this vid
Can I just say how the Hobbit's Buddy/Team Up Feature is actually super cool?
Have to say the hobbit was a severely underrated Tt games Lego game
Lego the hobbit was one of my favorite lego games as a kid and i recently got it on steam to 100% it again
That "3 years ago" only hits when you imagine that runners wouldn't run it again until 2026
Dude I love your videos keep up the good work 👍
Great video! I was looking to make something like this a year or so back, just never did it. I would love a video about Restricted Any%, there was way more competition and more interesting discoveries, as well as a tournament.
A couple notes: The jump skip was found the day after the level trigger was found, and only a few runs used the hover.
My 11:42 was really optimal at the time for the hardware it was on, I doubt I could get sub 11 on my current PC.
Also, I don't know if you are saving this for a restricted any% video, but I would have liked to see more of the route.
For a couple other notes see Paxo's comment.
Summoning Salt would be proud of this video.
im still playing this goated game once every year
Praise the fish god
praise be
great video! I love obscure speedruns in games absolutely not intended for it
Love your videos keep up the great work
i remember buying lego the hobbit day 1 for the 3ds lol
Love these videos
Im glad you are showcasing this game, this is my favorite Lego game 🎉
Nice video!
I tried playing this game with my little sister when it first came out… our copy was beyond broken. We got to the overworld and there was no collision anywhere. Literally just fell through the floor no matter what we tried. Turning the game on and off, cleaning the disc, changing settings… yeah. Nada. So we didn’t even get to play the first level lmao. While the game will forever have my ire over that mess, this was super interesting! I’m glad others have fun with the game :D
Great content and great people.
Yess waited for the series
Dang, I guess the video about big speedrunning discoveries isn't a cooking video after all
Not Paxo having the Free Science Lessons guy as a pfp 😭😂😂😭😭. PTSD for any person whos been through the UK school system in the last few years...
nice vid, also, why on 9:20 Los' runs is shown as coop in livesplit layout?
Lovely video, very interesting.
Lego the hobbit is my second favourite Lego game after Lego Star Wars the Clone Wars. Its Even better than The Lord of the Rings, despite having 2/3 of the levels
One can’t just simply jump to level 13.
Bro I just 100% this game yesterday wth
Thought my phone was cracked at 9:40. Tripped me out
can you do more middled earth videoes Thanks. Btw great vidd
the fact that lego hobbit got released whitout even including all 3 movies is f stupid atleast lego lord of the rings included the entire movies
Green peppers are on a fire pit in my my deck
TheGreenPuff!
I can't believe Lego games are some of the most broken games out there.
I can, they're easy to break just by accident (good games but not very polished, I mean)
I love watching your lego game speed run videos. Can you please make more 😊❤
God I love Lego games
i don't remember any of this happening in the book, lol...
Why does the game look better than it's cutscenes?
this is insane!!!
10/10
oh fuck yes
Bobbit gang
Bego the bobbit

I'm planning to speedrun a specific category in one lego game with my mom because there aren't any submissions. I'm pretty excited.
Edit: Just thought I should mention I'm saying this because the video reminded me of it
Why did so many people watch this video that’s 16minutes long to see how people finished the game in 10minutes?
