Hey, I'm the guy that currently has the WR in the all endings category, as well as the person who wrote the guide that I'm fairly sure you used for this video. Just want to say great job on this video, it does a really good job of explaining the different mechanics and endings clearly. Plus your time is actually really good, only 27 seconds slower than my original WR using the same route, and I didn't spend the time collecting tokens in that! But yeah, 10/10 video and of course, Glory to Arstotzka!
Just FYI, something I learned from playing this game a lot is whenever there's new rules implemented then the first applicant will always be approved for entry in most of the cases, i.e first applicant on the day when the entry tickets are implemented will always be an approved applicant, so you can always approve them instantly to save time. The only thing i can think of when this is not the case is when the game tells you there will be forged stamps in circulation
A little optimization strat: - Put the passport in between the stamps; you only need to see the green or the red instead of the full stamp. - Starting from the reason stamp being implemented, put the audio transcript on the table.

18:51 This is because if you help EZIC on all the tasks (or all but one), they will trust you and basically consider you one of them. On day 31 when they plan to blow up the wall, they will give you a heads up to hold your fire and let them do their thing, and that you won't be harmed. If you then kill one or both attackers, you will have betrayed them, and all endings (apart from the ones where you escape the country) reflect the fact. If you don't do the required number of tasks for them, they will see you as just another obstacle in their attack plan. If you kill them, you won't be considered to have betrayed them, and they won't communicate to you in the endings.
The tip for future speed runners: the first person ALWAYS have the new things correct, or if u just unlocked wanted people then first one is always wanted
this video made me want to play some papers please for the first time in a while. unfortunately, i tried to get other endings, but it wouldnt register that i did. which sucks. pretty cool seeing an old game get some recognition in 2022
idk why i was laughing so hard at 16:10 when he went from Dmitri in the stall to being arrested to back to dmitri being in the stall in the span of 5 seconds
What this would probably look like to the border guard: *madman takes five seconds to process all the immigrants, the Arstotzka government is panicked not knowing what to do to stop this man that seemingly escapes prison, kills his family, collaborates and/or destroys a entire terrorist organization and if that wasn't enough keeps buying tickets to get out of the country and get back in for the next day*
I know this is late, but I heard somewhere that if you deny someone that can be detained, you can give them back their passport, which should count it as a processed entrant, then detain them, which adds towards the detaining bonus. I may be wrong, but I’m pretty sure it’s correct.
Great to see such an awesome play through of the game. While watching I thought there was a "perfect" ending as well, but after the video I remembered that you always get at least 1 citation from the friend of your boss. So I guess that's not a thing. Also thought there were different endings if you managed to leave with different family members alive, but I suppose they're the same "Escape with Family" ending. Weird that there are 4 different versions of "You go to Jail!" yet only one "You escape with the Fam!" Anyways, awesome video. Makes me wanna replay the game again :)
"It's kind of an annoying check though so I mess it up a lot" It's usually pretty easy actually. Check if seal is there first and then remember that Square seals don't have M.O.A. written on them and circular ones do. That's it. Work permit seals are much more troublesome since they are pressed on writing and their writing can be obscured. There are also four different versions of those seals so you might as well not care about them for the purposes of a speedrun.
8:22 Ezic doesn’t report you, the person you’re letting in is supposed to cover up the investigation into you about the money and if you don’t let them in the investigation goes through and you get arrested. They aren’t threatening you.
