08-04-2024 Fort Worth, TX - officer hit head on in collision

An east division officer was involved in a head on crash along the 7200 block of Randol Mill Sunday morning. During a normal patrol of the area an officer was headed east bound on Randol Mill when a chevy tahoe enter into on coming lanes and hit the officers head on around 12:15am. The tahoe ended up crashing into a ditch where the driver got out and reportedly took off running. A passenger in the vehicle was helped out of the vehicle and evaluated by medstar on scene. The officer involved in the crash was also seen by medstar and was released on scene. At this time there is no word on a possible suspect in the hit & run accident. The road was closed for multiple hours as PD investigated and tow trucks worked to remove the tahoe from the ditch.
