- Tobago is an island in the southern Caribbean, located northeast of Trinidad and Tobago. Together with Trinidad, it forms the twin-island nation of Trinidad and Tobago. Tobago is known for its beautiful beaches, coral reefs, and tropical rainforests. The island has a diverse cultural heritage influenced by African, Indian, European, and indigenous traditions.
Tourism is a significant industry in Tobago, attracting visitors with its natural beauty, water activities, and historical sites. Popular attractions include Pigeon Point Beach, Buccoo Reef, Argyle Waterfall, and Fort King George. The island also hosts events such as the Tobago Jazz Experience, showcasing local and international musical talent.
Tobago has a smaller population compared to Trinidad and is generally known for its more laid-back atmosphere, making it a destination for those seeking a quieter and more relaxed Caribbean experience.

I love Tobago my last visit was in 1995. This video makes me fondly miss here.
My paternal grandfather was from Barbados and grandmother was from Grenada. My maternal grandfather was from Tobago and grand mother from St Vincent. I am from 🇹🇹 and living in 🇨🇦. True Caribbean child.
Helen when I was in Tobago I met several people of Bajan heritage and also here in Toronto. Also Trinidadians with Bajan relatives.
Many of us have parents and grandparents from different islands.
You are truly a citizen of the world!
@marlene that's what you call Caribbean integration. Very nice 😊
Plenty Bajans came to T&T as police officers in the earlier days and settled, they were the best trained policemen at the time and sought after. Many many Trinis can trace their Bajan roots from just a few generations ago.
I am from Trinidad, but Tobago is the definitely gem of the two
When you have good energy you attract people with the same.
I just love Joshua. He has such a warm spirit
He was certainly a kind stranger, and Tobago is a beautiful island. 🤗🌹
Mason Hall is the birthplace of the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago. It is also my hometown. This gentleman is doing us proud and we thank you for visiting the island.
I'm surprised he didn't say that
Young man was very pleasant. I am glad you are pleased with Tobago so far AT.
Joshua is a good tour guide big up Tobago 🇹🇹 ❤❤❤
Truly you and tour guide has a connection lol, his such a lovely guy and knows how to maintain conversation.
Paradise on earth convincingly
I will be visiting Trinidad in July I will be contacting him for Tobago travel
I was in Tobago just after the Christmas, AT Tobago is a place to destress, relax, cool down, it is so peaceful and it is the gem of our twin islands. It is a Caribbean thing the way we greet one another, strictly love, blessings and respect🇹🇹
The Views are Amazing. So clean with no litter on roads. Thanks for sharing
Tobago seems nice and laid back. That driver was very kind and jovial showcasing his island. I thought UK roads were small but Tobago takes the prize. Most of the roads are winding and set on the edge of a hill. Those mountain views were absolutely beautiful. I can imagine how it looks on a sunny day.
Such an amazing video of Tobago and I gotta say, AT, you did an awesome job! 👌🏽The island is absolutely stunning, and I loved the narrow yet well-maintained roads. It was also interesting to see houses built so close to the roads - a bit scary, but definitely added to the charm!
Joshua King's kindness and brotherly love make me think that Tobagonians are some of the friendliest people around. I'm even thinking about retiring there, God willing. 😇 Would any Tobagonian be willing to host an African like me?
You will be welcomed and loved. 🇹🇹
Why was that singing moment so touching..that’s a sign of true inner joy!! 🥹🥹Such a pure moment. I did not expect that
AT has a wonderful voice like an angel
.. Born in Moriah, lived and stay in mason hall when im in Tobago.
Im seeing homes of friends and family. I remember hiking to kings peters bay as a teenager. Memories 🥰
No matter where i roam Tobago is HOME.
Excellent job Lyn. My first glimpse of picturesque Tobago, special thanks to King Joshua an ambassador and real humanitarian. Mason Hall did ring a bell for me as a fan of kaiso. Sparrow said the girls there are as pretty as dolls.
🤣👌
It was a pleasure having you in our lovely village of Moriah.. Joshua you did an excellent job as her tour guide 🇹🇹🇹🇹
This man Joshua King was God sent. He is indeed a good spirit. African Tigress please keep this man as a true friend. Today you don’t find honest, trustworthy people like this man in this world. He is indeed a God fearing and a God serving man so he is a blessed soul.
The language/ expressions used across all of the West Indies is similar. It's not Jamaican lingo. It's a West Indies thing
Africa Tigress, you transport viewers to some obscure places with an intimate view that's unfiltered and unpretentious. Tobago is somewhat of a hidden gem so untouched by the pollution of many other societies. It's beauty and charm are not only reflected in the picturesque landscapes but also in the warmth and friendliness of it's people. Keep up the good work both you and the king. Well done!
Very authentic vlog. I really enjoyed it. You are truly blessed to find a great gentleman driver to take you around. Blessings and stay safe🎉❤
Tobago looks so peaceful, Joshua has a beautiful spirit, so glad you were in good company. I love when you sang together, he was right you do have a beautiful voice 🎉

You are really doing it, you doing your thang, that is a beautiful place, I enjoyed it very much.
AT most English-speaking Caribbean countries say "Yeah Man"...Jamaicans say "Yeh mon"..
Just by watching this a very therapeutic home away from home

Great i enjoy it so beautiful
Tobago is so beautiful! Love my twin islands! That steep hill reminds me of going up Paramin Hills in Trinidad! Did you go up Paramin while in Trinidad? Very beautiful up there as well.
Love this episode keep up the good work
Beautiful video, makes me homesick.
Thanks to the stranger aka free tour guide 😂
Showing you the beautiful Tobago countryside
Enjoyed watching
Thank you Lynn. These videos are priceless
Tobago is Bèàutiful
32:11 Slight correction Tigress, that tree is called the "Immortelle." Big thanks for the "deja -vu." Seeing all these familiar sights is making me smile. It's a pity the day was so overcast 'cause the view of the sea from that site (34:38) would have left you breathless.
Looking forward for the next video at the waterfall ❤❤
I spend a week in Castara, it was amazing
The singing ,you guys lol....God bless you AT and driver
Love this encounter! Great conversation, singing included!❣️ Strangers are friends we have not met ...👍🏼❣️🙏🏼
I'm also from Moriah tobago nd it's really beautiful ❤💯
African Tigress, We have counties in Trinidad that are similar to Jamaica's parishes, but we would hardly say you live in Saint George or use some of the other county names, which are counties, but we may say you live in Caroni or Mayaro. In Jamaica, they call the parishes what we call counties. In Jamaica, you would say that you are from Trelawny or Westmorland, which are parishes. Jamaica's parishes have capital towns. in Trinidad, the counties have towns. In Trinidad, parishes are affiliated with churches and religions.
Am here in Trinidad enjoying your video of my birth place
I love toast corn from USA 🇺🇸
This is nice, thank you Queen❤️. Watching from USA.
Nice singing ❤❤❤
PLEASE LIKE THE VIDEO
One thing about Tobagonians is they KNOW THEIR HYMNS. IF AGAIN! lol. One thing I remember from visiting my granny every year.
I hope you get to visit Parlatuvier and castara it's a beauty to behold
Yes i hope she does and some fresh fish.
In 1980 i was 14 and i went to Tobago we stayed in a beautiful hotel which had a jullie Mango tree outside not to far from the pool , a took so mush to eat mi belly nearly buss open 😊
I grew up in mason hall so I was happy to see my village 🇹🇹🇺🇸
I love your videos👍.
I just love your music. It suits Tobago just as sure as it suits Africa. Reminds me of Habib Koite.
That village is very beautiful 🔥🔥🔥
TIGRESS, YOU HAVE ME FEELING AS THOUGH AM ON VACATION 😅.....GUESS THAT MAKES IT 4-WEEKS OF FUN WITH YOU ONLINE....& KING IS SUCH A HUMBLE BROTHER, HE WATCHED OVER YOU LIKE AN ANGEL ❤❤❤....
THE CARIBBEAN DOSE JUSTICE TO THE AFRICAN MUSIC, IJD.....
Thanks!
I still dream of spending some of my winters in Tobago, with a ferry ride over to Trinidad when it is necessary.
Very nice guy nice communication both of you
Great video of Tobago...I hope you tipped the driver for his time.
Lovely Tobago ❤ Just a little correction, coton doesn't come from the will coton tree.
What a beautiful drive👍 you met a wonderful man❤
That's true
Those Pink trees you liked are not Immortelle ( mortelle) trees, they are the Pink Poui , there's also a yellow version of it as well. Immortelle flowers are actually Scarlet Red. 😊. BTW, Tobago does have Parishes whilst Trinidad has Counties and Cities and now some Boroughs.😊
My God AF you are brave my dear
Next time I go to Tobago, I will look for the driver
Joshua, big y up, you ❤
Its caribbean accent we use same lingo
We have counties in Trinidad, it's actually divided up into main counties..simliar to Parishes in Jamaica, but ' Parish' is really a religious allocation..the only parishes we have in T&T is Catholic church parishes, like different churches serving different districts...
The personality of Trinbagoian know how to make people feel good 😂😂😂 we can sing 🎶
700 Watching. LIKE THE VIDEO ❤❤❤
He showed her the tree and didn't even tell her the story about the old sorcerer called Gang Gang Sara . There is a story about an old witch concerning that big tree .
It’s a different tree from the gang gang Sarah tree. Which is in the next episode
I really want his contact when I visit Bago
Mt Dillon . The same young Guava leaves can stop the runnings
Tea made with Guava leaves help to lower your Blood Sugar.
Clean streets and proper waste management.Love from Kenya
❤❤❤
Another good video. How far does public transport go in Tobago? Is there public transport like buses? Or do you have to use taxis?
Joshua you didnt stop at the silk cotton tree , and give some history
That will be a long African story
Yes that was a very significant stop to make. I was looking forward to that part in the video but he did not bring out the history
@@yourstrulyDKCis this the gang gang Sarah treee
King Joshua, you should tell African Tigress that in the Caribbean we believe spirits live in the silk cotton trees.
@@AFRICANTIGRESS there is a long history about that tree and Africa history do ask the older people in Tobago about it you will be fascinated hopefully they don't hold back
❤
The Silk Cotton tree is also known as the Baobab Tree. This tree is also found in West African countries .
Driver issa vibe
The best roast corn
