Yep, exactly. They are using the service intervals to get purchases instead of just saying "hey, if you buy this bike, you need to understand that you are buying a HP bike and it needs to be serviced as such. Great point!
Been kicking around the idea of buying a 701 or 690 for the past few months. My Tiger is getting a little long in the tooth and I’m starting to feel that weight more as I get older. I agree about the oil changes for sure.
It’s unfortunate the manufacturers seem to be using extended service intervals as a selling point. I’m with you on more regular oil changes 🍻

I really believe that with a few well thought out adjustments, the 701 can be a great Adv bike.
My ‘23 Husky 701 had a cooling fan motor that went bad. It was covered under warranty, but it took Fay Myers 6 weeks to replace it.
Unfortunately the supply chain is so messed up with the Austrian bikes that everything takes forever
