Thanks Rc brother, I'm back to the small soft top cushion spring now, medium was just going to be way to much bounce. I kept this one limited droop because its gonna see more slight rock racer stuff then hardcore rock crawler more a 50/50 build
Thank you for this video. In am new to this hobby and looking for a good starting point. What spring setup would u recommend me based on your expirience for a c2 comp crawler. ( Meus gold rush chassis with capra axles) Thank you!
You can mix shock oils to make whatever weight you want to run. Personally from many years of RC experience starting out with RC10 A frame to bashing and everything In between. 30 weight with three hole works best in all applications.✌🏼
Yes sir I've came to find that 30 weight seems to be around the Golden # for me as well, anything hight speed with weight I've always used 50 weight in, thanks for watching and commenting 😀
Yah I really don't need that much travel honestly always worked for me, if I have a 4.75 tire I like to have that in travel. I had an Ax10 setup with 8 inches of travel it didn't perform well that way for me personally
@@RcDungeon I found the same when I went further for more flex, I put 110mm shocks on it and the rear would almost stand up, it handled a lot worse and you couldn't predict when it would unload or want to roll. I think what helped with the shock keys and going back to the 90mm was it lowered the overall COG, I was able to lower the rear and inch (the axle is almost touching the frame resting) and I was able to lower the front 5/8". I also relocated the bumpers to the top of the frame rails to get more approach and departure angle. It's pretty much unstoppable.
Thanks for the info and specs On shocks😃 I’am going with Desert Lizard 100 mm On My Ascent LCG and Thinking to put the Redcat shocks On My 2021 Bronco Trx4🤔 Make some droop On that too….
DL shocks are great. I'm building my first trail rig and these are fun to play around with and tune. I've been thinking of getting a set for hauling just to use the short hard spring droop setup on the rear. What do you think about using TLR 32.5wt? I got it on a whim and run it in my YETI Jr and seems a bit thick, I think it'll be good for a Phoenix though.
Not sure on the oil. I didn't know they had a 32.5 seems odd, I've ran the 30 was fine. I like a heavier oil especially in summer because shock oil will thin out in the heat reacts quicker. But I like slower suspension. Thanks for watching
@@RcDungeon from what I've read TLR 32.5 is the same as Traxxas 35. Just wondering your opinion. Thanks for the honesty and info. Keep putting out your content, I dig it.
@@espressomatic yah it doesn't work for everyone and or every rig depends on setup. This wraith is killer with this setup for me. I have a buddy with a wraith and he doesn't like it. Lot depends on driving style as well, thanks for commenting 😀 👍
nice how too video on the Lizard shocks👍💯👍💯👍
Thanks much appreciated 🙏
Great how to video bro, I enjoy watching and learni👍
I'm no Yota but I have learned from over the years and love sharing the info brotha
Great video! That’s pretty much how I setup mine just with different oil and springs but very well done 👍

Thank you!
I would start soft and tune from that point. The DL shocks take a bit of tuning to get correct
Put a longer shock end to make up for the spring making u lose a couple millimeters. Not like a couple is a big deal I don't think. Love these shocks
That would work as well, Thanks for that info, I don't really need the little lost have plenty But thats great information!

Set mine up the exact same way but used shock keys to relocate my mounting points, have 6" of articulation on my Gen8

@@marklarsen-ne2ws no problem hope you and your family have a great holiday Rc brotha
will losi mini t springs fit?
Not the DL no, they aren't needed for these shocks but I like the DL droop setup
I'm going to tell you right now, my wife's no fan of the semi-droop.
