I watched 20 videos trying to figure out why I sometime create small burn out when welding support bar to steel piece. I was trained to just do small circle but never was told the basics of what you mentioned! Feel more confident returning to work Monday and not be afraid of burning through. Also now I know what push Vs drag means. They explain to me push but didn’t show. 😂. This video help.
Thick frame stiffeners on my thin metal unibody xj jeep... Hardest sh!t I've welded thus far. Burning through like a mofo trying to fill those plug welds!!!
Yes, you do always want to drag flux core unless you are going uphill with a slight push angle because gravity will pull the slag out to the surface of the puddle.
