I LOVE the iPad mini 6. Downgraded from the iPad Pro 11 because it was too big for me (I use the iPad mainly for playing games) and it's been serving me remarkably well. In fact it's absolutely perfect. It fits in my hand bag that I bring everywhere too, so I can occasionally use it for light work, with an extra foldable bluetooth keyboard. It's such a delightful little device, really. Although I miss the 120Hz display and extra RAM on the Pro variant but it's not the end of the world. And I kinda wish I had gotten other color than space grey (it gets kind of boring because the other 3 colors look beautiful) Weirdly, the battery life on mine is stellar. I use it for gaming and it gets through a full day and sometimes more. So battery life isn't a problem to me. I've heard a lot of people not really fond about the battery but my experience has been the opposite. It's amazing.
I have an iPad Pro 11 inch 2020 model and it is a great iPad but I noticed that I started using it very less after upgrading from an Air 2. I haven’t used a Mini but I personally feel that the 11 inch one is too big for me which is probably why my iPad usage has fallen drastically. It is not very comfortable to use so I am thinkimg about switching to a Mini 6.
@@ai00436 Thank you so much for the feedback. I am still thinking about whether to make the switch or not. How is the battery life and the overall display? @@jawadqaisrani3244 if you're thinking about the iPad mini, go for it by all means. It seems like a great device but the screen is too small for my liking. imo 60hz and 120hz don't make a really big difference. If you're thinking of getting the 2021 iPad pro, you don't need to, the 2020 is already good enough for at least a few years comfortably
It's absolutely perfect for my BFA in Art courses, writing, graphic design projects, no regrets, no hand fatigue, no heavy laptop or my older 7th gen 10.2 in (traded in)
I bought ipad 8 for my current semester thinking im gonna improve my notetaking but nope! xP i realized that what i look forward for ipad is its portability for media consumption, and the ipad 8 was too big. so i manage to sell it off to a friend and live an ipad-free life again, giving myself time if i really need the ipad mini 6, and decided to sleep on it cuz i fear the 'grass is greener' bias is taking over me, and also the bias of honeymoon phase of eye-ing over a newly released device lol. I occasionally watched some ipad mini 6 reviews and none that help me push closer to the decision line, and it seems like i gave up on having ipad mini 6. but this video review nailed it. Since you emphasized so much that ipad mini is great for annotating and for someone who does not take note as you, it's doable. and also the Kindle comparison - especially the part where u mentioned that the screen protector kinda mimic the e-reader. No other reviewer mention this so it is a helpful input from you. Well now i guess i've decided to have the ipad mini for my final year grad studies. now the only way that i can confirm if ipad mini portability will actually make me utilize it more is to finally own one ahahhah
Hi!!!! I got the mini 6 for Christmas and i LOVE it. I am a senior in high school and am so happy with the note taking features and the Apple Pencil 2. I also love it for content consumption. A lot of students use iPads for note taking and since I already have a MacBook Air this is the perfect choice for me
Yea, I just got a 12,9 ipad pro with magic keyboard, to use for school. If i had a Mac, i would Get The mini. It is perfect in that como. Hope you have lots of Great times with your Mini🥰
I recently got a 12.9 2020 iPad Pro at first if felt to big but after spending sometime with the iPad it feels just the right size for me. Honestly your amazing videos helped me choose. So keep up the good work👍👍
If you have a big 6.7 inch iPhone, you're more likely to grab your iPhone even for watching multimedia. The size difference between 6.7inch iPhone and iPad mini 6 is 2x. Between 6.7inch iPhone and 11inch iPad Air/Pro is more than 3x. Going with the bigger size will make it feel more like a complementary device rather than a device which competes with your iPhone.
I see Noah mostly using his Mini in landscape mode. That's surely the way with the 12.9 and possibly the 11" also. But for me the Mini is a portrait view digital notebook.
I agree with you, and that's how I plan on using it. But I have heard some people give feedback that they don't like their hand falling off the side in portrait mode. I carry an a5 notebook with me all the time anyway, so I'm used to that quirk, but that may be what's deterring him. Especially since he's left-handed.
I’m not a student anymore, but I love this ipad mini. The best tool for book reading, reading email on the subway without carrying a big bag. I only wish it came with M1 chip, though it won’t be used that much power, but I wish to keep this ipad for a long time, so it won’t get slower for every new ipad os update.
I’ve been using the iPad mini 6 for the past two quarters and it’s definitely small. I have a lot of math classes and I always have to zoom out and back in and whatnot when working on problems or taking notes. Switching to the iPad Air soon
This seems like it is best for reading and writing, journaling, scripting etc. Everyone complains about the battery life though. I'm gonna wait for the next iteration that has good battery life. 15 percent per hour is INSANE.
It’s insane because it’s inaccurate. Or at least, it is for me. My Mini gets about the same battery life as my 2018 11” iPad Pro did without the Magic Keyboard. It depends on what software you’re running. Photoshop and LumaFusion will chug power. My note taking apps (Concepts, GoodNotes, Notability, and Notes), e-reader apps, and streaming apps do not demand quite so much. I can reliably get through a day on this device, it’s never died on me. But I do have to charge it every night
I'm currently using a iPad mini6 to prepare my upcoming CFA exam, I find the size to be perfect for the small tables at local library. However I do find the battery life to be a bit disappointed as merely have a screen on time of 5 hrs
I must say I bought an ipad mini in my first year of university and it was a great buy. I think I used it everyday for around 10 years until it broke. But, it was amazing. Big enough to study with it, small and light enough to carry everyday in my purse.
I have both a mini 6 and a 2018 iPad Pro. Pro has battery issues and screen discoloration, which is why i got the mini. But i do find myself going back to the bigger screen on the pro from time to time for certain tasks. Movie/TV show watching for long periods for example. But for most of my day to day internet consumption, i find the portability of the mini to be superior to any previous ipad experience.
In good notes you don’t need to zoom in like that. I liked good notes because of the fact that you can write in a box that auto scrolls and is zoomed in for you. It’s funny, now that I’m out of college I’m going to downsize to the mini 6, my 2018 12.9 is way too big to use on the couch or hold comfortably in portrait mode. Only thing I’ll miss is the magic keyboard.
I never used good notes. I just suggested he use notability instead for the exact feature you just described. I need that feature on every size iPad I've used. Agree with you completely. Was nervous about getting the mini but after some soul searching I realized the Suze of my former iPad is the reason I ended up reaching for my MacBook or phone. instead
@@Mehwhatevr unfortunately after notability switched to a subscription based model I wouldn’t recommend notability to people anymore. Other wise yeah my iPad Pro was great for note taking but as you said I found my self reaching for my laptop or phone more often than my pro. I have a iPad mini 2 that I’ve been using more than my pro to watch UA-cam and read books on.
@@Ender275 edit: I see that option now. Yearly planners, math conversion, stickers, themes, and journals? Nobody uses that. I don’t think that should stop you from recommending it. But If good notes copied that zoom feature, that’s what set notability apart. I was using it back when my stylus had a rubber tip 😂. If good notes copied that feature then recommend it too. That zoom feature is the important part. Notability has just updated and now you have so many more options. Ruled paper has to be set up rather than just picked. I may try good notes just to see if it simpler
@@Mehwhatevr it was a huge thing this last fall. They were going to make notability free but everyone including old users would’ve had to switch to a subscription based service to make notebooks. I’m glad to hear they calmed that down.

I get 12-15 hours of screen-on time on my mini 6, with the brightness at around 15-25% (occasionally higher for video or outdoors) and no gaming. Using 100% brightness indoors would burn my eyes!
I think notability solves the issue you have with note taking. It does for me at least because I would have the same complaint if m not for the way notability gives you a zoomed in line to write on. I would have the same complaint on every iPad
I can relate. I use a mix of a Z fold 3 and a Surface Pro 8. The different sizes have their time and place. A small tablet is great when your also on your computer. I use a mix of Onenote and Samsung notes.
For me…I have an iPhone 14 pro, I use to have the 13 pro max but for day to day use I did not need the bigger screen all the time so I went with the 14 pro …I later bought an iPad mini when they went on sale for the holidays. Since owning the device it has been my go to for media content consumption, mobile games, answering emails, and photo edits. To carry my EDC items, I am using the peak design 8oz option I believe which is the step down from the full size tote. This device fits perfectly which it could hold the 11 inch iPad however I prefer the mini on account of weight.
I have a wifi mini and I'm an editor, designer and writer and I can use it for most of the day without charging. Often times if I need to charge it's because I'm watching youtube while gaming on my computer late into the night. I am pretty much always somewhere with wifi or I already have the documents I need downloaded to my ipad so I didn't want to pay for cellular and the battery does a good job of me using it all day most days.
Bought one the day it came out. It’s a fun tablet for reading and general purpose consumption, but it’s way too small to get any serious work done on it imo.
I bought an iPad Mini Cellular 9 years ago. I do not browse with it - I'm an adult -so I use my 14" laptop to browse and an Apple TV for viewing. After 9 years of ownership, I use my Mini almost exclusively when I "TRAVEL" - to do the following - with %'age used (give or take): Otherwise it sits in a drawer. #1- as a GPS unit in my vehicles - the best GPS ever (70%) #2 - as a Sidecar or mirror screen to view video paired with a M2 MBA (25%) #3 - as an eReader (4%) #4 - the odd miscellaneous task (1%) The variety uses that others have for this devise shows how many things it can do so well. Since it is on its last leg (but not dead) - I will likely buy the new Mini 7 when it comes out later this year. BTW I would 'NEVER" buy a bigger iPad as the Mini is simply a great portable complimentary device.
I was supposed to use my iPad mini 6 as a second screen, in addition to my laptop, but the battery can barely last something like 2h and the in class I finally just have my iPad mini with a bluetooth keyboard and it's so easy to deal with PDF and when I have to Summarise an entire course. I also bought the AirPods 3 and it's awesome! I can switch from my iPad to my iPhone without doing anything and it changed my daily habits, I'm more willing to work with music or podcasts in my ears and I do believe it helps me to be more productive as a university student. 😄
hi noah! i really really like your videos and was wondering; can you do a "is the iphone 11 pro (used) worth it in early 2022?" i love your videos on more "budget" apple options, and rn i desperately need a phone replacement :-) thank you!
I feel like you’re getting it wrong thinking FPV is for videography, it’s not and never truly was. Don’t get me wrong you can fly FPV for the purpose of taking great shots and there’s truth in that but I believe FPV is more for racing and freestyle. FPV is not dying but its usage for videography definitely is declining.
Great video ! Will pick one because I had a Air 2 always in my backpack and never took it out because I took to much space on my desk so I have the feeling it would be perfect for me. Also I switch from a Pro to a Mini iPhone and I can’t go back ! Just a question do you think the cellular version is worth it ? I should have wifi 95% of the time and could use my iPhone as hotspot. But with my Air I had a few times the problem that the cellular version has no GPS built-in… it was for a very specific task but it was frustrating. How good is a Wifi only iPad using the assisted GPS when being connected to an iPhone ?
GPS on a wifi-only iPad tethered to an iPhone works well, I haven’t noticed any issues at all. I truly do not think cellular is worth it on this iPad, as it really isn’t suited to being used as a lone device for any extended period of time. Better to take the money and just invest in a phone plan with more data, I think. But that’s obviously a very personal opinion, and no one can really tell you what your ideal featureset is but you
I have i pad air 4. initially i had difficulty choosing between i pad air 4 and i pad mini 6. As i preferred note-taking over reading convenience, i bought the air 4.but as an e reader i guess mini6 can beat even kindel.
I got the Mini. I do enjoy using it. But I have found it to be too small. So I am looking to replace it with the Air. I do have the iPad Pro. But I am looking to augment my tech with a slightly more portable iPad and need the slightly larger screen. I admit to being really geeky. And at my age money is not that great an issue to me.
iPad mini get longer battery than an iPad Air 5 and iPad Pro 12.9. Mini is right in the middle of the line up and battery life is perfect. Note taking is not as good on my iPad Pro than the mini. Best iPad in the lineup as it stands today. As far as the Air with M1 it’s terrible on battery. Hopefully it’s just a update away from the life the Pro get with M1.
I get pretty good battery life on my iPad mini but it is Wi-Fi only and I don’t use it at 100% brightness but even at 100% brightness I get around eight hours of battery life on it
Finally got the mini 6 after waiting for over a month to get it from apple. Used it for a few minutes and decided to send it back. I’ll wait until they fix the scaling and jelly scroll issues before I drop $799 on one. I’m sure it’ll be fixed at the end of this year or next so I’ll wait till then. It’s amazing they would do this crap to their customers.
Hey noah! I was considering ipad mini 5 over the ipad 10 because the ipad 10 has a14 chip and ipad mini 5 has 15 chip, is there a big of a difference in the chips?
Mini unless you need to type a lot go for the pro with the Magic Keyboard I mean I think the pro will be nice for you because of the big screen for watching but like I said unless you need to type there is no need to get the pro
Would U say U like the Mini but wanting a Pro 11? Or would U get a Pro 11 for is rich features and excellent battery & wish U had the compact later? Or could U justify both later on?
I’m heading into high school and I’m looking for something easy to carry around that can still do the same things as my iPad Pro for school notes, etc. Would the IPad mini 6th gen work well for that or should I look into something else?
anyone who owns the new ipad mini and uses digital plannners..how would you recommend it for that? the main use I have for an ipad is digital planning and media consumption, movies, tv shows and youtube. I have an 11" ipad pro and its so big. Would the mini be a better option for planning and media consumption or do I keep the pro?
I'm getting my new ipad mini today for this exact reason. I am also 'downgrading' from an 11" ipad pro. I never used it because it took way too much space and was too hard to plan on the go. For the last few months I've just been carrying around an a5 notebook and that's been working for analog planning, so I think the form-factor is perfect. Try buying an a5 notebook and writing in it and seeing if you'd be comfortable. If you like that form factor, the mini will be perfect I think!
@Nessa Scott thank you so much for the helpful information! I actually decided to sell the 11inch pro and I ordered a mini. I think it will be perfect for what i need and the pro is so heavy in my purse.
Paperlike is absolute trash, had it for less than one week and its full with very deep scratches, scratches you can actually feel by touching it and if there is any light in the room falling on the ipad you'll see a complete destroyed picture.

It’s still surprisingly portable, easy to carry, and nearly $200 cheaper than the Mini. It also has better accessories, and you can get them at a relatively low cost compared to their iPad Air/Pro equivalents. Keyboard-and-trackpad cases, for example
Currently using the iPad mini 6 and base model M1 MacBook Air for my classes and it’s an amazing combo!
Hi, when you read textbooks in pdf, can you read the whole page of text comfortably? Or is it too small that you need to zoom in on one column first?
Love the iPad colour & this case. Great combo. Great vid too!
Stop telling people to wear masks you psycho
Some psychos need those stupid mask for a „flu“
We love you too, Canoopsy!
And I kinda wish I had gotten other color than space grey (it gets kind of boring because the other 3 colors look beautiful)
Weirdly, the battery life on mine is stellar.
@@jawadqaisrani3244 huh I find the size very nice to use, and I end up averaging around 7 hrs a day on it lmfao
@@ai00436 Thank you so much for the feedback. I am still thinking about whether to make the switch or not. How is the battery life and the overall display? Sometimes I think to wait for the next one in which 120 hz Promotion and other features come but don’t know how long will that take and technology keeps on updating really fast so can’t keep up with it all the time.
I'm debating if i should get a mini or pro at this point. Im just worried that my hands will grow and the mini will become too small.
One of the best reviewers of Apple products. Great job bro!
Can we use it for taking online classes
After many many comparison videos, so far the best one yet. Congrats man, greetings from panama
@@Ender275 I don't remember if I paid for it ever. I've been using it for at least ten years though so who knows? I see no benefit to the subscription though. I think the free version or whatever I'm using has enough features
Its literally called the mini i dont get yall
We get it Noah, you're a size queen, no need to keep bringing it up. 😉😘
Glad you’re back!
Thanks man 😊
I get 12-15 hours of screen-on time on my mini 6, with the brightness at around 15-25% (occasionally higher for video or outdoors) and no gaming. Using 100% brightness indoors would burn my eyes!
I think notability solves the issue you have with note taking. It does for me at least because I would have the same complaint if m not for the way notability gives you a zoomed in line to write on. I would have the same complaint on every iPad
Does GoodNotes not do this?
This was the video I’ve been waiting for. Thank you so much for your honest opinion, it helped me a lot!
I can relate. I use a mix of a Z fold 3 and a Surface Pro 8. The different sizes have their time and place. A small tablet is great when your also on your computer. I use a mix of Onenote and Samsung notes.
Great to see you again, Noah 🙂 In the thumbnail it looked tiny but seeing you with it, it's not as small as I thought. Great review 👍🏽
I am not an Apple products user but I am curious about all kinds of products. I definitely found this video interesting.
I love the iPad mini 6 I am using it right now!! I don’t see the difference from the iPad Air and the iPad mini 6!
I have been waiting for this!
Too small a device for me to take note comfortably. I believe an 10.9 or 10.2 would be better for my note taking.
I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS VIDEO! YOU SAID YOU'LL MAKE IT, YOU TOOK YOUR TIME AND YEAH HERE WE ARE...haha!
#1- as a GPS unit in my vehicles - the best GPS ever (70%)
#2 - as a Sidecar or mirror screen to view video paired with a M2 MBA (25%)
#3 - as an eReader (4%)
#4 - the odd miscellaneous task (1%)
The variety uses that others have for this devise shows how many things it can do so well.
Since it is on its last leg (but not dead) - I will likely buy the new Mini 7 when it comes out later this year. BTW I would 'NEVER" buy a bigger iPad as the Mini is simply a great portable complimentary device.
I love that his iPad mini size nearly equals his trackpad size
I love seeing other lefty 👏🏾👏🏾 makes me not feel alone definitely dropping a sub 🥳
I'm using the model without cellular. With note taking, web browsing and video streaming, I see about 10% battery consumption per hour consistently.
bro u r making amazing content...really like each n every video
Ipad mini 7: amoled + 90/120hz = instant buy
Loved the difference between note taking and annotation. Exactly what I had been looking for.
It only lasts 2 hours?
hi noah! i really really like your videos and was wondering; can you do a "is the iphone 11 pro (used) worth it in early 2022?"
i love your videos on more "budget" apple options, and rn i desperately need a phone replacement :-) thank you!
My most complains are those bezzel are too thick and jelly effect while scrolling screen
I will be back at the iPad mini with a 120hz display. I couldnt get along with this mediocre display.
But that’s obviously a very personal opinion, and no one can really tell you what your ideal featureset is but you
I love since ever your channel!
Happy 2022 ✨✨✨✨
iphone 13 mini + ipad9th gen is great combo.
I have i pad air 4. initially i had difficulty choosing between i pad air 4 and i pad mini 6. As i preferred note-taking over reading convenience, i bought the air 4.but as an e reader i guess mini6 can beat even kindel.
Awesome video! 👏
Thanks Rohit!! :)
I think it’s a perfectly adequate size.
If u have the pro there is no need to replace the mini. U will end up getting a simaler sized iPad if u get an air. Keep the mini

Exactly how I take notes too but with 12.9 inch iPad Pro

How's the experience switching back and forth between the 60hz ipad mini and a 120hz phone?
iPad mini get longer battery than an iPad Air 5 and iPad Pro 12.9.
The thumbnail is great!! 👍🏼
Thanks Joel! :)
I get pretty good battery life on my iPad mini but it is Wi-Fi only and I don’t use it at 100% brightness but even at 100% brightness I get around eight hours of battery life on it
Hi Pal, should i buy ipad mini 6 or wait for ipad mini 7?
Nothing about the UI scaling? Have Apple fixed a thing about it since the launch?
Nice background, can you share a link?
How is reading a two column textbook in vertical mode? I want to switch from an Air but scared it may be too small😬
for some one who does a lot of PDF article and book reading, and annotating on them. would you recommend the Air or Mini?
Finally got the mini 6 after waiting for over a month to get it from apple. Used it for a few minutes and decided to send it back. I’ll wait until they fix the scaling and jelly scroll issues before I drop $799 on one. I’m sure it’ll be fixed at the end of this year or next so I’ll wait till then. It’s amazing they would do this crap to their customers.
Hey noah! I was considering ipad mini 5 over the ipad 10 because the ipad 10 has a14 chip and ipad mini 5 has 15 chip, is there a big of a difference in the chips?
And the wallpaper?👀
I got that same Air Fryer.
Noah on vacation 4 2 weeks… what did you do? Colllege?
Thanks Noah, for introducing Canoopsy’s wallpaper

I've been debating between ipad Pro 11" and ipad mini for taking online courses (mostly watching) and reading textbooks. What's your opinion?
Mini unless you need to type a lot go for the pro with the Magic Keyboard I mean I think the pro will be nice for you because of the big screen for watching but like I said unless you need to type there is no need to get the pro
Is that an air fryer on your table?
Is that an air fryer on your desk?🤔
Could you tell me what version of your ipad mini 6? Is it wifi or cellular, because you said you use it for iMessaging and whatsapp?
Dude you have an airfryer on your desk
Sorry to bother you guys but what is his wallpaper again, I know I saw it on Twitter but haven’t been able to find it again. Thanks in advance
9.7 to 11 inch size are better for taking notes
Would U say U like the Mini but wanting a Pro 11? Or would U get a Pro 11 for is rich features and excellent battery & wish U had the compact later? Or could U justify both later on?
I’m heading into high school and I’m looking for something easy to carry around that can still do the same things as my iPad Pro for school notes, etc. Would the IPad mini 6th gen work well for that or should I look into something else?
I think the mini would be perfect for high school
Do you face any jelly scrolling issue ???
With 128gb and promotion would be excellent
Is that an air fryer on your desk?
anyone who owns the new ipad mini and uses digital plannners..how would you recommend it for that? the main use I have for an ipad is digital planning and media consumption, movies, tv shows and youtube.
Agree! I get scammed by all this youtuber!
