- 14 years ago, Christina moved into a small house, which was the perfect size for her and her mother. But after Christina married Joe and they had a baby, it was clear that that modest three bedroom, one bathroom bungalow wasn’t big enough for their family. Christina and Joe signed a $200,000 contract with a contractor to put an extensive second floor addition on the original house. At the beginning, everything seemed fine, but slowly delays and additional expenses began to build. After a bitter battle over payments, the contractor put a lien on the house and walked off the job. When Mike visited the house he saw at first glance how bad the renovation had gone, he knew he had to do something.

the contractor that ruined that home should never be allowed even close to a construction site for the rest of his life
The problem is that these shady contractors open and operate under company names they create. If someone wants to pursue them legally they close down the company and the next day they open another company with a different name. The really scary part of this episode is that the contractor is so blissfully ignorant that he thought he did an awesome job. I wonder how many other houses he’s destroyed?
Sadly there are plentiful of loopholes in the laws… so that shady contractor can reopen under a different name,if we like it.or not!,!
Pay them back with interest Plus $$ Big money for Pain & Suffering !!!!!! Jail Time also !!!
@@stevec6642that’s what furniture store owners and liquor store owners do here in California
No he should be forced to live in a place that he built from start to finish & be never be aloud to move out
This is not only dangerous, this is outright criminal. The original contractors need prison time.
And all of this? Was done to them by a "a Family Friend"
Wouldn't really help, them going to prison isn't going to get the money or house back. Quite often these scammers have no money and blow it all on drugs or gambling habits. I mean some one who blows a hundred thousand dollars or more, they easily work multiple projects at once since they barely do any work. Despite stealing all that money they some how have nothing to show for it.
@@JustaGuy_Gaming Jail time would at least prevent the contractor from doing anymore damage anywhere else for as long as he's incarcerated. Furthermore, his license to do any construction should be permanently revoked with an injunction in place to prevent him from ever getting another license again.
balls deep
Never ever use a “family friend.” How many times do you people have to be told.
I'd be considering adding the city building inspector that signed off on this to the lawsuit.
AMEN!!!
Mike i have watched lots of your videos, this one made me cry ,because you took into account that one day her husband will be in a wheelchair just like my wife is now, you have help them way better than anyone else has .
You did something that no one else would do , god bless you and everyone else who help them
it's a hole in the ground but it's her hole in the ground
Please check out the Third Line Homes scandal. Mike is not who you think he is.
something i think my own dad wished his younger self taken into account when being gungho endless energy and serious 'know how its done' so can save cash doing stuff self , as the house i grew up in seriously where insulated and stuff like for example proper roof bricks but when you get trouble walking when older , a two floor house with a stair to the front door due to the solid foundation and cellar is simply not functional without 24/7 on site help or built in elevator :/ wich not is something you just tack on over an afternon at best you get a building permit for a 'tower' addition and hoppe you got a spot where you can make a door in all three floors without it getting awkward , like going through the kitchen or bathroom to get to second floor XD
@@itomba I read the article . I would wait to see how it all works out. From the article it sounded like the buyers Assumed something that they should have double checked.
Amazing
Mike is an encyclopedia of construction. If Mike says is bad take his word for it. This Mercedes rightfully went to the junkyard. Great episode.
lol
"This will be a Mercedes!"
Reveals its the Homer Car.
You are 10,000% CORRECT! I know Mike is a Canadian Treasure that's for sure!
@@TTownTCGcheck out the Third Line Homes scandal. Mike is a fraud.
I have never seen Mike SOOOO ANGRY. My own blood pressure is going up. 😮
Hahaha 🤷🏻
Retired GC here. I'm 8 minutes into the video and my stomach hurts.
If it's true, that it upset you so much,
Then I am tru,y sorry you retired. 😢
I wish i could find out additional info regarding the outcome of the lien/suit against the family. The fact that at the end of the video the original contractor still had a lien on the home is mind boggling. You've got to be a real piece of work to still be confident that your crappy work was a "Mercedes".
I still don't understand the underlying justification for the lien. Hopefully there's not an equivalent in the US. If I install a $30K solar system, it could easily be argued that it's a $80,000 value since that's what I expect my power bills would have been over 20 years at 3.5% energy inflation, and up to $180,000 with the more likely accelerating 8% to 12% inflation. $55K without ANY inflation.
As long as I pay the $30K construction bill, they'd have no basis for claiming more.
I was also wondering what the outcome was
The lien was paid and then the contractor was prosecuted by the crown for criminal breach of trust.
@@PatrickLeeUSwhere did you see this.
@@BradLarsen-nl2pc There are sadly a lot of similar laws in the US. Contractors can quite easily pad a bill then sue you for non payment if you refuse to pay. Their level of work is always vague as well as they can claim almost any reason for delays, weather, supplies being late etc. Despite all the delays mostly being their fault, some how the home owner is responsible for paying more if the project takes longer than expected.
There had to be multiple inspections done to get to that point in construction. If any inspectors passed some of the obviously deficient work, they need to be held accountable as well.
it's a hole in the ground I own a hole in a ground😭😭😭
Agreed--but this is about 20 years ago, now.
@@honeybadgerismeAnd yet, it still continues in 2024...
RIP Rob Graves!!! We are all your brothers and sisters. Your work and impact will never be forgotten.
This is a crazy amount of work for a show. So much better than the quick flips on HGTV!! Binged like 12 episodes right now.
HGTV has low quality renovations many times too.
Quick flips probably take months to produce!
Some (not all) flips are good and some (many) are less than stellar. 😮 Entertaining, but...
If you watch some of the new episodes, you'll see him FIXING some of those quick flips.
The judge and jury should watch this video before announcing their verdict.
This blew my mind watching what an unsafe piece of junk contraption that contractor built. Calling him a contractor is an insulting to other contractors. There doesn't seem to be once area of that house built even close to right OR SAFE. So glad you all were all there to show them how u safe that home was. Whoever attempted to build that home should lose their license, pay through tbe nose and possilbly do jail time for extortion
Since this house was built by Mike Holmes and video documented, it probably added 25% to the value of the house.
the guys own engineer's say it's wrong to🤣🤣🤣
if that does not say he's screwed I don't know what will🤣🤣🤣
And to their lawsuit. When the witness is Mike you know it's a slam dunk in their favor.
40 years in construction and i have never seen anything this bad
And so glad Mikes kids are involved, I bet he’s as good of father as a builder
FINALLY! Mostly concrete with glulams! And radiant heating! you can select the temp for each floor. That is how a house should be built. Structural metal studs... I would love to have all the electrical in conduit and the service and wires inside the wall. WELL DONE! Attention builders: This is how a house should be built.
My house is simular build to what one only its around 150 years old.
And Nope most builders outside North America building like this.
You can have anything you want if you have and are willing to spend the money. The cost of this level of construction is well beyond reach for the average person
@@scd603 Its true, but why are building most countrys like this?
Not only the rich european countrys.
But the poorer ones, Asian or South American countrys?
So yes it would mean less people would live in a single family home but in the long run.
Its better for the Economy, Ecology, People and more.
I think the bigger issue to find a team which can build this house for you including general contractor. These teams are fully booked for years ahead so that 16 months can become 2-3 years easily.@@scd603
This has to be my favourite episode of all the Holmes shows, such a loving man. Glad you were there to help Mike.
The entire team seems to have empathy for the owners. None of them blame the owners for not picking any of it up, because they are not experts in construction. The whole thing stinks that the build was signed off as being okay.
This poor family... That's disgusting what that builder did to them.
What a Beautiful end result. Blessings to Mike, his crew and everyone involved.
I have learned so much from
Mr. Holmes. Thank you for showing the industry of home inspection.
Peace🌎💕
Thank you for watching!
I love what you do, too. You take the frustrating injustices to innocent homeowners and help rebuild not only their homes, but their lives as a result. Thank you for what you and your crew does. I love watching your videos. This episode was special (as so many are).

Please give an update on the people you help. Thank you Mr Holmes and all your Trades people ❤️❤️❤️
At 1:25 the best bit when the lady laughs, she was so brave throughout and then, she released all those months of unbelievable tension.
This, along with 3:31 description of the kind and justification. Sheeze.
Every single tradesman that touched this house did an amazing job.
Ever since I first watched Homes on Homes I have been so inspired by his attitude and attention to detail, as a contractor at that time I tried to copy his special feeling for each project, I could never reach his skill level but I did try. Every contractor should be made to watch his program and learn from it. Away you go Mike.
His team and the other businesses he calls on are masters of their trade. And genuinely want to make it right.
The fact that you TRIED puts you at the top of your trade.
Great job Mike, your team is the greatest. Too bad a Lawyer won't step up and do the work to sue people like that and donate their time and effort to Do It Right. What a house. Wow
Being Icelandic I like this kind of construction. Almost all residential housing is built like this here.
Are you saying that all residential construction in Iceland builds houses that are extremely dangerous and "come apart at the seams"?
@@SlickBubbles 🤦🏼♀️I should think it's obvious he's talking about the rebuild Mike Holmes did.
Simply endangement! Hope the judge rules in their favor! Mike to the rescue!
This is blowing my mind , I’ve been consumed with Holmes for the last couple weeks , I’ve been a builder in upstate ny for almost 40 years , and feel horrible for this couple, UNBELIEVABLE Stuff 🔨🔨
Loved this episode. Brought tears to my eyes! There’s a special place in heaven for Mike and his entire crew and all the people that helped them restoring homes!
You guys are all Angeles!
as stressful as it is to know these criminal and unethical actions happen, to know there are beautiful and hardworking people like Holmes and his team that actually believe in their standards of care. Makes me cry ❤❤❤😭😭🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 to all the hard workers thank you 🙏🏻
I absolutely loved watching this video. The quality and workmanship, "incredible". The help that was extended to this couple was pure magic. Well done " Holmesy".
Mike and team pieced together a concrete heirloom home.
Give Mike and team money and permission ,they give you peace of mind.
Mike, way to set the bar!
I'd be very curious to hear from this family how their home built by Holmes is holding up. How much their property taxes went up. How their neighbors feel about such a different house in their neighborhood. That contractor should be sitting his butt in jail for building something so bad that it was dangerous. No way should he be compensated for the dangerous lousy work that he did .I hope that family won their court case.
You almost have to admire that contractor's chutzpah to continue to demand more money, even after his own engineers backed everything Mike said about his work, and the fact that the entire house had to be torn down for being so dangerous. And also, you don't.
Me too, but I bet the neighbors are glad the house is done and not a dangerous eyesore. That first house was going to be a vacant nightmare for the whole neighborhood.
Hopefully, all the eco elements are offsetting some of the increased taxes.
They can get tax credit from the solar panels.
I have those questions and more. To me someone who started with a cute tiny bungalow and ended up with a concrete house doesn't seem right to me. The couple did not seem genuinely happy.
been a fan of Mike Holmes since Holmes on homes, no one knows more he is awesome. I am from uk and miss him being on tv. DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME!
Wow! I just happen to come across your channel, binged watched until 2am.... Woke up, went to church and back at it..... This one touched my whole heart. Horrifying what the builders did, but you, your team and all those that helped did is absolutely amazing... May God continue to bless you and enlarged your territory.... May you have help far beyond what you could ever ask for....
I normally don't care for the modern look. I love the Victorian Era. BUT that home is amazing it looks so clean the lines are crisp. Well done
Mike,
You and your crew are awesome!! Kudos to you making all the families homes livable. I love your show and I hope you'll continue your show. Mike your a prime example to what a builder / contractor should be caring and doing what's right. God Bless you and your crew. Keep up all the good deeds you do. ❤❤❤❤
I love that Mike did all the work to get these folks back in their home and that it's environmentally friendly.
I guess that contractor is a FORMER friend of the family now.
GoD bless you Brother. The World needs more Holmes.
14:50 - We had the same thing in our house with the finishing nails in the cabinets. We found out the day of our final walkthrough the day before closing. It was a foreclosure where the previous owner ripped out the kitchen when they were evicted, sat on the market for a few years and the bank (we are told) had a new kitchen installed. On the final walk-through one of the cabinets was on the floor face down in the middle of the kitchen. We were about to file a police report thinking it was vandalism, as the back door was clearly kicked in at some point but we didn't notice that on previous walk-throughs. Immediately we noticed ZERO holes in the wall where the cabinet was, just finishing brad nails, then determined that the bank kicked in the back door to gain access and not have to pay a locksmith but didn't repair the trim. We have the same cabinets today, the first job in the new house was getting those cabinets fixed to studs. A few months into ownership we heard a crash from the 2nd floor of the house, forgetting that an IDENTICAL cabinet was in the laundry room and suffered the same fate. I repaired the cabinet and got it attached to the studs as well. So far a decade in and no issues. The house will be falling down around the cabinets before those things budge now.
"I built you a Mercedes!" that monster said...and delivered a Yugo.
You STOLE My line!!! Lol 😂
That Yugo had 2 half-balding tires and 2 flats!!
Comparing this house to a Yugo is an insult to Yugos. Yugos at least work
More like a 70s Pinto with a leaking gas tank...
This house was a crappy purple scion that was driven into a carrion lake and set on fire with the oil that leaked out that then exploded.
The inspectors on that home should pay the $65k lien . The city is partly responsible as well
They probably paid them off, may of been their friends.
Good thing Mr Mike knows every aspect of this Dwelling. Thank you Sir
I'd love to move to Canada to have a Holmes home! But can't fathom all that freezing cold!
You wouldn't want Canadian taxes especially with Castro Jr. in charge...
ok i'm a big fan of mike Holmes because to me he shows everyone the quality of workmanship that needs to be put into our house because the crap they are selling these new house for for one are outrageous for the hassle some new homeowners have to go through like myself i bought a brand new townhouse and when they did the tile work they washed their buckets down my drain so i got a hold of the builder and told them flat out i know what they did because i've been in construction work all my life doing different work from rough plumbing to electric foundations i never claim to be a master at any job but i know the things to look for i,ve built everything you can think of on a house then i took what i learn and i would make it stronger my dad was teaching me to lay brick walls from the time i was 7 or 8 years old i laid some retain walls that are 40 plus years old with him that are still up to this day and doing their job because like mike i'll take that extra time needed to make sure its done right the first time
That is unbelievable skill well done Mike you have exceeded your capabilities and showed you love for people who really need your help, you are a inspiration to everyone 😊
Mike Holmes and his family are the best. They are exemplary. 💖
I hope they don't have to pay on that lein. Completely unjust. Beautiful home. Thank you for helping them.
Mike there NEEDS to be a part 2 to this show! We need to see what the outcome of the court case was!!!
X2
Everyone did an outstanding job I can't even find a word for it it was beyond outstanding!!! And to answer your question Mike yes I do know what it's like to be out of your house for 3 years.. I'm actually homeless because of my ignorant family and I've been on the streets now for 4 years 😔.. I haven't slept in a bed for years... Just in my sleeping bag my backpack is my pillow and I'm laying on the hard ground or concrete wherever I happen to be...
Mike, Not only this home but the home that you built in New Orleans after Katrina will always hold a special place in the hearts and minds of all who have viewed them for all time. Thank you for making it right from one who believes in doing things right the first time to another.
Holy smokes!! That's beyond awesome!! Super awesome job by Mike and his crew, and everyone else that helped on this project!
Beautiful home. That evil greedy contractor who f thier original house up should be in prison. Mike , you and your crew are angels. Ty
The new house looks amazing - like a million dollar home, maybe more at current prices. Solidly built, as is more commonly seen in Germany. I wonder how many square meters in size? To me it looks way bigger than what a family of 3 or 4 would normally build for themselves. I also wonder about long term maintenance costs for the complex systems in the house. I hope they are still able to enjoy it today, 16 years later, after all they had been through. A follow up would be really interesting!
The maintenance would be nil...Look at the systems Mike had built into it...They're all about 99% maintenance free...
@@ICU2B4UDO admittedly these are high quality products that would function reliably for a long time. Nevertheless there is complexity in each system which certainly would have needed some maintenance within the last 16 years. The lead-acid solar batteries last less than 10 years, the green roof needs regular upkeep. A TSSA inspector will visit your elevator once every one to three years and may require some repairs or maintenance. A rainwater catchment system requires regular cleaning and may require filter changes and pump maintenance.
For the core features such as concrete walls, metal roofing etc, I agree that they would be 99% maintenance free.
this was the only episode of the original Holmes on Homes series i never saw. I could never catch a airing. Its nice for this 15 year journey to come to a end.
This type of build excites me as I love anything that's a Green Home, Passive House, Net Zero House. And to see it on a main stream show in the U.S is great. It's big overseas and is just making big strides in America. It's standards are much higher than local coding standards here and really provides for lowering utility cost (or no utility cost) and more comfortable living environments that will last the test of time. Concreate is a great heat conductor and with heated floors you won't have to run your room heat as high to stay warm so it lowers your cost. This build is the equivalent to smashing an ant with a sledge hammer ladies and gentlemen.
@bushnj8748 This house is as green as my 1200 hp race car, I bet you also think electric vehicles are also green! Did you not see all of the heavy equipment that was used to build this waste of money, They were all powered by either diesel or gasoline I did not see one electric vehicle! This house could never make up the difference in what was wasted just to build it, But hey keep dreaming!
@@NeverEnoughPyro40 You clearly don't even know what your talking about. Before making an ignorant comment about my comment it may be smart to look up what a net zero home or a passive house is on youtube or google.
Mr Holmes You are a Hero. I've been watching your videos on and off for years. I live in Minnesota USA and 2 years ago the goverment weatherization program came in to "weatherize" my home. The exterior window caulking is old hard and cracking i asked that they recaulk, they wanted to pull my interior trim and stuff insulation in instead so I refused I told them i want to keep it out not trap it in the wall. They installed a new vent cap for my kitchen exhaust which now doesnt pull 1/2 as much as it used to and causes an icepack all around it in the winter, they installed a "upgraded" bath fan ran it through my wall above my bedroom window with a plastic dryer bent cap, it is intended to run very slow all the time, it freezes shut in the winter. They cut out one of 2 of my existing wooden attic vents made it larger and then stuck the $8 off the shelf "shed quality" tin vent with 6 screws on top of my siding and filled the gaps with caulk. They removed my exterior metal dryer vent and replaced it with plastic that was to big so it is bowed and flexed to fit the spot. They spray foamed my sill no barrier, some spots are less than a 1/2" thick and some slumped before curing leaving gaps. They removed my existing door sweeps to replace the new ones are already shot. They removed/replaced my new smoke detector, all 3 of the ones they installed faulted out within the first 8 months.
I called the program director he brought his inspector with and bullshitted their way through dumbed down justification of the jobs done. I asked them whos paying to repair what theyve done, Ive never heard back from them.
Just incredible, Mike you and the team you put together Awesome.
Wow! I am stunned at how bad this was. You and your team are a total blessing to this family. Really hoping they take the original contractor for all the cost they spent plus what it would have cost for your work. And praying the contractor and inspector lose their licenses.
I'm surprised I never heard them once say they are counter suing to get everything they paid and all their legal and lawyer fees.
That's because they probably can't.
BUNGLOW AND ONE THE LEVEL. I LOVE THE DECKORATOR SHE ARGUES WITH MIKE ABOUT EVERYTHIHNG.
SHE KNOWS HER STUFF , SHE IS GREAT.
As a disabled senior who finds it difficult to get over the edge of the bathtub to have a shower, I’m surprised there is no wheelchair accessible shower in the home when it’s possible the husband may need to use a wheelchair sometime in the future.
I had the same thought!! All the considerations for the future wheelchair user - wide doors, elevator, etc. and then a tub in the en suite bathroom?? Maybe there was a roll in shower we didn't see, but it seems like that would have been shown/featured.
(One of) my favorite episode(s)😮😊❤❤❤❤ThankYou
Great Job and explanation, 🎉 should have done a Japanese style underground hot water piping to defrost the walkways and driveway since home owner might be using wheel chair..
Youre an inspiration 😎watching you i wish you had a home inspection course so i could change career... Big up😐👍🏾🇯🇲👍🏾
Amazing people who helped build this home. Another success Mr. Holmes❤️🎉🎉🎉
anyone know about update? I'm wondering if they successfully sued the original guy (its really only a moral victory since the contractor will disappear and bankrupt themselves to avoid it)
Kindness is contagious. It should be revered and honored rather than social media fools....
I tried to find out whatever happened to this lawsuit, and I was never able to find any information on how it came out.
My heart cries for you folks. Mike is 100% correct about the fact that laws need to get very stiff for situations like this. I wish you well. Keep your heads up.
I know that this happened quite a few years ago, because I saw this one when it was new. But seeing it again has made my heart hurt for the owners. The guy that fukt them over should not only pay them back the money he took, but he should have to pay for the entire rebuild cost, and be banned for life in building anything bigger than a dog house. And his work should be inspected just doing that.
He is a crook. Should be in jail too
The worst part is his refusal to acknowledge that anything is wrong and then sue the homeowners for telling the truth! This guy is a criminal.
Hermosa casa ,felicitaciones a Holmes por ese logro!!!
I can't understand how a judge/lawyer would allow the lien to stay on this property seeing how much work Mike and everyone else had to do. They had to tear down the house and build a new one and they still let the lien stand.
They are crooked
This was an amazing transformation. I imagine that entire neighborhood is wondering how much bad quality their homes are. Holmes, I always enjoyed your TV shows but this one involving football and shop students and their teacher, Kevin, was awesome. Teaching them what to look for, how things should be done. They are the next generation and they need to know how things should be done. God bless all of your for the love you are showing for your friend and his family.
Love to see manufacturers coordinate with construction
Went from negative equity, showing nearly everything a high contactor with massive ADD might do, to a million $$$ home. Beautiful job!
Love something like this, in the South, as my retirement home.
Nothing wrong with DIY IF you get someone who knows what you are supposed to do to inspect your work through the process.
Build it to last even if the neighbourhood is going to be redeveloped in 20 years.
In NZ, relocated homes is part of our modern culture.
Michael Holmes you are truly an earth Angel, you are a blessing in this world I thank you and your wonderful amazing team and all the contractors who helped this family, God sent you to this earth to help people who's lives were temporary destroyed and you made their lives so much better, As for the so called friend that stole this family money I hope that you see the errors of your selfish ways and redeem yourself, god bless you Mick and your team and this family and all the families you have helped you are an inspiration to all mankind ❤
The manner in which the "builder" submitted his lien and provided statements of his increasing the value, should make him eligible for Fraud Charges even without the Home Owners even needing to file.
This is wrong and so sad. I cried because it was so sad. You are the man, Mike. Great job!
I want to know what happened with the court case/lien? They should have ended up with a judgement against the original contractor. Of course I'm sure it would be uncollectable.... I'm wondering how he is able to keep going and paying attorneys?
They never said they were counter suing, which is what they should have been doing. It is very stressful, but once you're in it, you have to stay the course to the end.
2nd time ive watched this An absokutely awesome home Mike and his crew and all the trades that worked on this house deserve everything good in life I salute you all As to that original contractor He should be stripped of his licence and do jail time never again to build anything as to his lien thzt should be thrown out if court if anything he should have to pay for the new build Thank Mike
Unbelievable the contractor has the nerve to ask them for more money even after the house was torn down. The homeowner should be suing him for every Penney they gave him plus the cost of the new house.
Awesome build. This build exceeded my imagination, very cool home. 👍
As for the original contractor, he should be happy he’s not in prison, what a schmuck. Hopefully the home owners win there case.
I litterally cried seeing so much crap done by this guy..... How could you be so bad and stole money to build such shit with no remorses???
Hope the family can now have a new and healty life...
can they sue
most likely no living in Canada
If they lived in the US oh yea (over 90% of all lawsuits filed in the world are filed in the US) because other countries laws don’t allow people to sue. And especially since they wouldn’t have to find him ( most scammer contractors) just disappear and reopen under a new DBA in another location or city. He is in-front of the judge already
There is a lot of good people still out there and Holmes is one of them ❤
I'm glad they got a happy ending but I missed something because how did it go from a 200k house contract to a million dollar designer home. lol
This comment right here! Lol I get the message Mike was trying to send about quality but this type of build is no way affordable for the average homeowner.
This is what you see in multifamily or base building commercial construction 😂
We need a bathroom downstairs off of our bedroom we only have a half bath we are getting old and I have fallen down the stairs twice already. After seeing everything that can and does go wrong I am now scared to hire someone because we can not afford for it to go sideways 😢. I am very grateful for people like Mike and his team and pray they will continue to help people like this and pray that God will bless each and everyone of them 🙏 ❤
Go to a major supply store like Home Hardware or Lowe's. Talk to a manager about what you are looking for. The manager will probably have a few names to give you.
This isn’t construction, this is sabotage. This couple should sue the contractor for his license.
I thought the Minneapolis Public Library designed by César Pelli was spectacular, but this is much more amazing. It is impossible for me to think that all of this great work and great features could be incorporated in one single family dwelling. This is why I have enjoyed all of the Holmes on Homes productions.
That contractor wanted $564,300 for the work he did. He doesn't deserve a penny. Mike and his crew had to tear it down and build a new house.
He should be paying them 500K. Shoddy work, mental anguish. Put me on the jury and he will owe them a ton of money.
I agree with you, plus they couldn't live in the house for 3 and 1/2 years.@@skreis1867
