- My apologies. I was going to my make this video, so part of the main shaft assembly is skipped over. It’s very easy and i talked at length in part one how to take it apart. Any questions just ask

That means so much. Thank you!
Thanks a lot mate you are a legend 👌
Nice work doing it one handed as well 😂
If the main shaft with the input shaft , cluster and shift forks are assembled upside down in a vise the front plate or bell housing slides on easy. Clamp the main tail end down in a vise between two 12" 2x4s. Slide on the shift forks and zip tie them on tight. Offer up the cluster where it goes properly and use some wood blocks under to hold it in place. Now zip tie this assembly tight. The front plate or bell housing will slide right on top of the assembly easy. If you used enough zip ties you can pick this assembly up and flip it over then continue on.
What’s up brother. I watched your 2 tr6060 videos to help me with taking the bell housing and tail housing off because I believe I was getting some solid leak from either or both of them. Tail housing portion went without a hitch. Bell housing was goofed up because I forgot to take the detent bolt out when pulling it off. Didn’t realize that was a problem until I tried to put the housing back on. I finally took it off after making the shifter rod the dentent rides on move a lot. Got the bell housing on after sealing it up. Put the dentent back in, and now the tranny doesn’t not spin. Input or output shaft 😢. The shifter barley moves even with a good amount of force. Do u have any tips for fixing this? I’m assuming I threw some things out of alignment by not taking the dentent out.
Likely got shifted into a gear. Have you tried spinning it with the bell off? Move the rails and try to place it in the neutral position
@@v8only somehow I got the input shaft slightly off cantered while putting the bell housing back on. Not sure how that would even happen seeing how the hole is beveled. I just readjusted the shaft as it was going into the hole, star torqued it down, and the tranny was spinning fine. Preciate the help.
Glad you got it fixed, bro.@@registaylor6849
Is it possible to take the front off without taking the tail housing and everything else off? My input shaft was ruined by a bad pilot bearing and I need to replace it, would be way easier just to take that side off
Yes but input is tricky to get out. Is possible though
@v8only the less I have to take apart the better. The kicker is I took the whole thing apart to replace the main shaft already, then noticed the pilot bearing wear after I got it all back together
@@ocold-gp3oi on the input? Use a bushing instead of a pilot bearing
@v8only I've heard those wear out a lot faster, what's the benefit? In any case the input is worn down several thousands and will need replaced.
So I took my bellhousing by accident not knowing it was integrated. So I tried putting it back on and the problem I’m having is the shifter just doesn’t feel right and it won’t go into 4th gear nor neutral
When I put the bellhousing in it’s moving the shift rod so I think I just need someone in the car holding it in neutral. But the not being able to go into 4th gear scares me.
@@connershupe7975did you ruin the small bearing inside the bell? If you don’t pull that bolt spring and check valve then you’re going to ruin that bearing inside that the rod slides through. Pull the bell off again, make sure everything is in neutral, take the bolt, spring, and check valve out then put the bell on. Those parts go on last, or it’ll just push it into gear. If that bearing got messed up, you can Buy a new one. Its a real challenge to get it out though
You need a gopro
