I really like that. I’m interested in looking into that field. I’ve completed my masters degree last week in human services and I’ll be taking some additional ABA courses to couple with my degree so that I can sit for the bcaba exam. Ultimately I want to be a psychologist though.

It appears this is similar to an associate license which allows someone to practice under the supervision of a fully licensed professional, in order to work towards the hours needed for full licensure themselves. It said on NYSED.gov: "Limited permits are only issued for specific practice sites in New York State under a qualified supervisor acceptable to the Department. The setting must be authorized to employ licensed professionals and provide services that are restricted under Title VIII of the Education Law. Appropriate supervision and allowable practice sites are the same as those for the experience requirements specified above. Effective January 1, 2006, one must be licensed or otherwise exempt to practice Mental Health Counseling or supervise a permit holder." Let me know of any questions you may have.
