Dont give up bro, the supervision hours are a lot, but finding the right company to work and get the experience is key. I taught in the classroom for 9 years and the last year I've been acquiring my BCBA hours. I'm half way done and looking for Bcba positions in schools soon. Good luck bro!

Hi Jose. Thank you, I appreciate the encouragement. Also, sorry for the late reply I didn't get the youtube Notification. I'm still taking the classes but, since I am doing a dual licensure internship, I'm able to do the work I'd like to do in the schools and community. That's the only reason, I'm not continuing the BCBA internship right now. Much fortune in finishing up your hours and starting your career as a BCBA. Thanks for sharing your experiences. I recently graduated with a teaching degree, and after realizing that there are very few teaching jobs in my area, began to seriously consider Behavior Analysis. Hi Cherry. Thank you for watching. Also much fortune in pursuing you education. I think that speech language pathology is such a good field and gives you an opportunity to work in a number of different environments. So if you choose to go that route, you'd be in a good field too. I know that the BACB is broadening the education requirements as well so if you decide to get a graduate degree in SLP and still want to be a BCBA, your degree may qualify for the educational requirements and you may only need to do a certificate program in a verified course sequence. I would check with BACB first though. Also, you can get up to 130 hours per month and as few as 20 hours. Here is more on that- www.bacb.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Fieldwork_FAQs_190802.pdf
Collecting hours for BCBA as an RBT...I'm actually not sure on that one. I am also interested to know if those hours count. I was trying to look on the website to see information about that, but didn't see anything. That is a good question. Here are all the current standards- www.bacb.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/BACB_Experience-Standards_190730.pdf
Here are the 2022 requirements- www.bacb.com/wp-content/uploads/2022-BCBA-Fieldwork-Standards_200501.pdf
Maybe I just overlooked it. But, I need to reach out to BACB and see what they say.
