I have a hen that has gone broody 3 times. I followed the advice of another UA-camr named The Old Swedes Farm, who suggested putting her in a pen in the basement with just food and water, and a light source for day time. It’s cold and boring, and it took her 3 nights to snap out of it. The only thing is that the broody poop is soooo smelly! 😝. I tried to keep that cleaned up, for sure. Thanks for the info. 😊🐓
Wow thank you for making this video. I ended up adding a leghorn chick so now I have four. This video gave me so much useful information and I appreciate it. I definitely will try the fertile egg method if I get a broody hen. That's awesome
I have 2. Tangerine and Clementine and I'm waiting for any of them to go broody, going to try and hatch a couple and see what we get. Thanks for sharing
I ready to LOP heads, mine are driving me nuts right now. My female Khaki Campbell ducks are going broody as well. I live in a tight neighbor hood trying to lay low. This aint working.
Leave them alone. They will get up and leave the nest when they are ready. Why are humans forever trying to change the way animals behave just because it doesn't benefit them.
