Oh wow, I remember that cute lil chick. She’s still adorable! We have two from Buff Orp roo x ISA Brown hen, they have those neck freckles(and tail tips) in black on one and white on the other. Ever have a buff mix come out with just a few BIG black spots on it? One just hatched(daddy is a cochin) can’t wait to see what it grows out to look like. My white silkie rooster has a preference for redheads since day one. She was the smallest youngest of the hens but totally his fave, poor little thing.
She's a beauty! My rooster is a brahma and he loves him his bantam and my poor Golden polish has lost her head feathers because first thing in the morning she runs out and he gets her right out the gate. I try and grab him both at night and in morning until the girls can at least eat and drink. My Golden Cukoo Maran went broody we threw an egg under her and we have just one baby chick that was successful. My black Australorp was not successful with hers. Tomorrow is day 19 in the incubator and we are transferring 46 to the hatching baskets. I absolutely love my growing flock! Building additions all over for them.
The chikens are very healthy beautiful colours i race the brown chiken when i was 8year old i have yo wake early to check on my chiken same the chiken fly from window to wake me up was fun i hate eating chiken then i do race the chiken kids to give labours to race hahahaha
@@sandywhitmer1851 I don’t. As long as they’re only a day or so apart they’ll all hatch. She will keep sitting on the remaining eggs after the initial ones hatch for a day or 2 before abandoning the nest

How do you know which eggs to mark???
I just mark all the ones I want to hatch. That way I know to remove any new ones that show up.
@@pretendfarm You said she's been sitting on them for several days...how do you know which are the oldest??
