    Also i want your advice. I want to move from 8Gb RAM 2400MHz (Samsung) to 16Gb RAM 3600MHz (Crucial) is this adviced ? Or can i have both RAM sticks in there running together at the same time giving me 24Gb (2400MHz - 3600MHz) 🙏🏽

    Question--i think you answered this in the middle but it was a little confusing --Should I put the new Sabrent SSD in the faster M.2 slot before doing anything with Acronis? I'm pretty sure x570 MOBO doesn't have any problem with booting from the second slot; I've done it in the past; also I turned off secure boot and it's been on UEFI mode without legacy for a few weeks now with correct partitions for windows 11 and UEFI.

    i don't have two m.2 slots in my laptop but i bought an axagon enclosure that supports both sata(main os drive originally) and the new nvme.
    Can i clone with acronis on the new m.2 nmve with the original m.2 SATA allready installed in laptop? if i would reverse this (and install the empty new drive in laptop) would i be able to boot from the usb enclosure or workaround to boot from another usb stick with a bootable acronis image? would the latter be preffered?
    thank you in advance

    It clones the drive for Win10, but doesn't make it bootable, so the system can't find it. Ultimately their support suggests, reinstalling windows to fix the badly made clone. Afterward getting frustrated with them I tried Macrium Reflect which worked perfectly the first time.

    When I tried cloning my drive from my laptop to my dual usb-c enclosure (sabrent) the disk wouldn’t boot. Acronis says that you must install the target disk in your computer and clone the source drive from the enclosure. Consequently, I wiped the drive and I’m using the offline cloning, but it’s taken over 24 hours and gotten nowhere.
    And when I cloned that first way, it did not extend the volume. I did not check if the original drive was MBR or GPT tho. Since the 2nd drive was 4tb and twice as large as the first I did not use MBR on it.
    I still don’t understand why offline cloning is taking so very long!

      After cloning the new disk wouldn't boot. I did some searching and came across the same, the new disk must be installed and the source disk is cloned from the enclosure. If the new disk is cloned while in the enclosure, it will not boot.

      I will still use the Sabrent 2TB as games and media drive ?? Just insert the 2TB and format through windows would that be all I’d need to do. What are all the other options in the Acronis software do.??😊

      I plan to move from 1Tb HDD to 512Gb SSD. I think the point is that the size of data you’re transferring to your SSD must not be more than the capacity of the said SSD. So for me I’m keeping my used storage in the HDD below 350Gb so cloning should be smooth

      @markanthony1976 Рік тому

      Before you can use your new SSD you have to initialize and partition it. If you are performing a clean installation of your operating system, or cloning to your SSD, it is not neccessary. A clean installation of your operating system or cloning to an SSD will initialize and partition the new SSD.

    Acronis True Image does not properly clone an NVME drive on Windows 10. The cloned NVME drive will not boot properly even thought Acronis reports the clone was successful. Anyone else have this issue and know a fix?
