Poor menstrual hygiene has a negative effect on the education and health of women and girls.
Women and girls in Nigeria are faced with various physical and emotional challenges in managing their menstruation and the current hike in price of sanitary pad is posing a challenge to young girls especially school girls, some who can’t afford a proper sanitary pad now fall pack to some alternatives that experts believe are not so healthy.
