GSP Forum - Pad a Girl Initiative

Through the funding support of Beacon of Hope Initiative, and in alignment with the UN SDG goals to tackle reproductive health challenges in adolescents, GSP Forum organized & executed the Pad a Girl Initiative programme.
In our commitment as a vehicle for driving social change in our communities, GSP Forum held its pilot Pad a Girl Initiative programme at G.S.S. Angwan Mayo, Kokona L.G.A of Nasarawa state, Nigeria. The program focused on menstrual health sensitization talks which included - Puberty, Menstruation, Menstrual hygiene management, education and demonstration of the proper use of both reuseable and disposable sanitary pads, how to keep the reuseable pads clean, etc.
Additionally, 138 menstrual hygiene packs were distributed to the female students during the programme.
