UK beef farmer. Heffers not used to tight presurised bag of milk. Kickers get a hobble on day one, constant access to calf who you hope keeps the milk pres. down and it's rare to need the hobble more than 3 to 7 days
Erin, you and Mike are both amazing people. And it seems as though you are amazing parents. Do not let the negative people and their negative comments bring you down. Your marriage and the disillution of it are nobody's business. You are public people, but that doesn't mean that your personal lives should be public. I am and will continue following both channels.

Erin I came upon this page over 2 years ago with my husband being in hospice and I’m his caregiver it gives me an escape and to relax awhile. I am so sorry for the mean nasty people towards you it is no one’s business but you and Mikes. I did cry when I watched Mikes video and yes when I watched yours I am subscribed to both your channels and will continue watching both and supporting your family was checking everyday for your video it was great and we got to see more of your personality keep your head high and keep on going remember people who are nasty are just miserable in their own life I wish nothing but the best for you and Mike both ❤

Last year I had to do that for 28 days before she finally took her calf without being in the squeeze
She raised her calf last summer. But I shipped her. What a pain

Erin, I found your channel a few years back. It caught my interest as I also married into my wife’s family farm. While we do not run the farm, we do live here and run our own smaller herd. I loved what you guys have turned the ranch into a ranch to table setup, it is genius. I give praise to you running this with the help you and the kids have. I am super sorry that what ever happened happened, but life continues on as will this ranch. I wish you the very best and I will continue to watch to see what improvements and changes you decide to make.

I am not telling you what to do, but this is what I do with calving heifers:
When the calf is born I sprinkle powered milk on the calf and rub it in to the fur every time, heifers are not bright, but they know what they like and they always like powdered milk. The process of them licking the calf releases Oxytocin and she falls in love with the calf. We have not had a heifer reject a calf since doing this for 10 years now.

I just want to say I love this channel And I will not judge. Although Mike's announcement was a shocker but you can see through your videos yours and Mike's that it's a very emotional time and you do need support from those who love this channel and so very much enjoy watching our Wyoming life. I will continue to watch and someday I was actually wanting to visit Gillette montana and stopping in at the store. Hopefully one day I can do that. Children are so blessed to have such caring parents as Mike and you. I'm so sorry for the negativity from those who May not understand or may never understand. As long as the heifer isnt trying to kill the calf. We leave the calf with the heifer. To bond. And in the shoot we grain the heifer to she is calmer too. Just some rancher to rancher tips. ❤

When my son's father and I split, the split was more amiable than the marriage lol. We vowed to work together to make the split as easy as we could on our son. My ex and I have stayed friendly, we even put him up in our guest room when he came to visit my son, paid for his plane tickets to get to an emergency funeral etc. We peacefully divided possessions, had a very peaceful divorce process, shared holidays so my son did not have to choose etc. I love that you all are doing this so respectfully. Honestly, sometimes marriages just don't work out. Here's to your future! We look forward to whatever content you present. Hugs and prayers for your whole family.

Oh Erin, what you are going through is NEVER easy, and in my experience there is no wrong or right side when it comes to divorce, and the reasons it is happening is no ones business but your own!!! Yes, people are going to hate - we all loved your channel and Mike was a big part of that. BUT that DOES NOT mean we won't continue to watch and love the channel even if the content is different! I look forward to seeing where you, and of course Keri, will take us this year. Ranching is HARD, and having one less pair of hands won't make it any easier, after all there is only so much of you to go around. I hope you have and ability to get help when you need it! If that's the only bottle baby, you will be doing well. I am so sorry that you received such comments. I did not read many of the comments so it was a shock to hear that folks attacked Keri as well. Although I suppose it is part of being a public figure, folks need to quit jumping to conclusions too. I never for one minute thought you would quit ranching if you had anything to say about it. Things will change of course, and that's to be expected. As time becomes more precious in a day and juggling it all gets interesting, just remember to look after yourself as well.
