Cures for neurodegenerative diseases, the road unfolds: Corinne Lasmezas at TEDXBocaRaton

Knowledge that has been gained over the last years in the felid of biology and neuro science has brought us to a point where we now will be able to take action to find cures for brain diseases. This is an area of new beginnings and possible treatments.
Since her appointment at Scripps Florida in 2005 she focuses her research on how mis-folded proteins lead to neuronal dysfunction and loss in neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and prion diseases, and on the search for drugs to cure these diseases.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s are closely related. Different proteins build up in the brain. Autophagy via fasting works on both in animal studies.

All of these diseases are halted today. Those without a lot of damage will regenerate. Those with most damage will not DEgenerate further. All under the care of functional, holistic doctors. You only have to present yourself for treatment and be preared to change lifestyle particularly diet. You don't have to "believe" in naturopathy. It works anyway.
