  • Dr. Corinne Lasmesas, a research scientist at Scripps Institute, believes there is real hope that there will soon be treatments for brain diseases. In recent years we have witnessed major advances in our ability to explore the brain's anatomy and function, in our understanding of the mechanisms underlying neurodegenerative diseases, and in methods to discover therapeutic targets and drugs.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

Can someone please explain to me why they get really angry? Their personalities change, they get mean and aggressive. Is that part of the neurodegenerative diseases? 😧
