the toilet in the UK does have toilet seats, there are some that dont but that is because vandals break them so they put a stainless steal one there to protect against vandals

That was really interesting! I didn't know there were places in Europe with toilets without toilet seats. I have never come across a toilet without a seat in Spain, even in places that are known to be cheap and dirty, such as gas stations situated along highways. While the floors of such places may not be very clean and you may not find toilet paper, you can expect to find relatively clean toilets with toilet paper in any decent restaurant, bar or shopping mall.
Don’t forget Thailand you have to pay in some toilet areas to use it also even though I never been there just in the videos where they got areas to pay and use the toilet and toilet paper also this was interesting especially when Miley was explaining how to use it in Japan so funny and way different no seat just squat and take a dump or pee
One major reason the toilet seat is missing in Europe, is to prevent persons use it as table to sniff drugs. The same goes with blue light on the toilet, is to make it difficult to set the needle. Been in Korea where it was vending machine outside the toilet. So if you forget it..
the towns we have lived in all have toilet seats but i only used one once back in the 1970s it was an emergency after been on a boat ,i ran to the toilet after got off it to use the public toilet luckily there was a spare cubicle,

Your friend was correct about squatting when using Japanese style toilet. Squatting is a most natural and efficient position for "pooping". i just remembered once going back intime i was tired pulled down my pyjamas and forgot to put the seat down,luckily i never fell in. back in the 1970s we had toilet outside attached to the house and i wrote on the wall ,you dont come here to sit and wonder,but open your legs and fart like thunder.And a plumber once called to fix the blocked toilet said t our son you will be in trouble when your dad sees this on the wall,our son said it was my dad that wrote it.True smiley it was me.

One of them had a small square in the middle of the door ( female ) and the other had a moon carve out of it for the mens . They use a Montgomery Wards catalog for butt wipe . This is partly true in france. i remember when i was a kid and we were driving from germany to spain and stopped at a highway service station in france. there was no toilet bowl. you had to squat over a hole in the ground. when you flushed you had to jump out quickly or you would get your feet wet. but i don't know if it's still like that today. apart from that, i don't know of any country in europe that doesn't have a toilet seat or toilet bowl. but the other girl is right. we should all have toilets like in japan. they are by far the best toilets in the world.😊😉

Medical research say they should not do that as it causes groups of pelvic muscles to tense up which often leads to infection, constipation etc. I can't blame them, with the disgusting state of some men's toilets, even I don't want to sit on the seat!🤢

Bidet's take a while to get used to. Usually have a fabric stool cover with me for restrooms so dont have to worry about what might be on them.
