- The 48 hour group build is nearly upon us! we selected the AMT 1908 Toyota Pickup snap fit kit!
Our plan is to add a slight touch of weathering to the build to help make the build a bit more of a challenge!
We hope you follow along with all the participation of this year's group build!

Have fun with the 48 hour build. This truck should make a good subject and I like your plan. Build on Mr BG!
Awesome pic for the build, Bryan!! It's a Toyota beat the living heck out of it, and I'm sure it will still run!! Those good old trucks are bulletproof!! 😌😉
That ought to be a fun kit Bryan... Knock it out of the park!!!
😉👍
Nice choice for the kit there Bryan, looking forward to see the updates on that Toyota and good luck for the 48hrs group build 👍🏼

Super choice Bryan. Just got home from spending the day at the IPMS Nationals in Madison, WI. Lots of excellent models on the tables. Take care and enjoy your weekend.

Hi Tom! Hope it was a fun time!!
Like the engine block as a pen holder in the background, cool.
Hi Dale! That was a failed resin print a club member gifted me! Right away, I felt it was perfect for a tool holder! 😁
Tan is a factory color and one of my favorites for that era!
I recall seeing so many of these in tan as a kid!
Great choice. Love that kit, ran an 82 Toyota Hilux with a 6” lift for awhile in 87-89. Great truck!
6 inch lift?!? Holy smokes!! That sounds like it was wicked cool!!
@@BGsModelWorkshop until we rolled it over during a snow store. LOL!

That looks like a cool kit! That one of those kits I always picked up looked at it and put back. Wasnt detailed enough for me. Now I dont see them around much anymore. Cant wait to see what you do with it. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Alan, yeah, a few years ago I saw this kit everywhere, now, nothing. Maybe at a show or swap meet. Bit nothing at the store.
That is such a cool kit
Looks like a fun kit. Have fun BG!
Thanks my friend! So far so good!
Great choice Mr Brian BG models. 👍Keith here back able to make vids so I'm just after uploading 2nd vid today to hop in on porsche GB so I threw my hat in hope that's OK,, have a great weekend my freind👍, Keith
Hi Keith! How's it going mate! Glad to see you are in the Porsche build! Of course it's ok bud! Dead like is September 29th. But that's just a suggestion! 😁
Cool choice brother 🤙🏼
Thanks Paul!! 😁
I built one of those. Good kit. I painted mine yellow and used the OEM style decals with a tan interior. I did the bullnose and roll bar in black. I would build another one easiy. Of course I only used the YO letters on the tailgate LOL
Hi Bruce, yellow was my second choice. If I couldn't get the right color for the truck. Loli also used the "to" letters! 😁 And I would definitely do another one of these!
This ie really a great snap kit that lends itself to up-building well. I should build a second one day. My only complaint was the front bumper/ grill guard seems a bit bulky for the truck and wish there was an option to not use the brush guard. I did use aftermarket tires and wheels from Fireball Modelworks for mine also.
Looking forward to what you do. Enjoy it sir!
I agree, the bull bar is a bit hefty! I suspect the kit was a bit over engineered for younger builders. I have a couple of plans to add a couple of extra bits to the model. 😁
@@BGsModelWorkshop It turned out great sir, I liked what you did with making the raft carrier out of the mold supports - brilliant!
@@scottmckinley752 Thank you Scott!!
I've pulled this kit out and put it back so many times! INSPIRE ME BG!!! INSPIRE ME!!! (FYI there was a "Fire Chief" version with a camper)
Thanks Kelly!! I was wondering about the light bar and side windows! Makes total sense now! 😁
might try this !
Hi Steve! Right on!!
Hmmmm...I have a Revell S550 Mustang snap "kit". Very simple and basic....
Cool choice. I can't wait to start!
