White mountain Knives ships to Canada, they sell RR and RRR as well. I have bought a few from WMK'S . Rosecraft Blades also Ship to Canada, their Slip Joints are on par with Rough Ryder Reserve. Both are great knife websites.
I like traditional knives, I have a bunch, but don't have a sow belly. Barlow and Sod Buster/Workman type, blades is my pick. 194OT Old Timer Gunstock Trapper is 💯as well. Not to take away that this is a great looking knife, more scale colors/textures is needed. They do a good job on the brown micarta, but variety is the spice of knife scales. Thanks for sharing BigRed, be safe.
Prefer my micarta smooth ( no exposed fibres) but that being a Sowbelly, I fancy it. Gaps between blades are not as glaring as those earlier models. Thanks JB!
Always nice to see RRR slips. As for upgraded steel or handle material, you can call me a traditionalist if you want but I'd vote no simply for the economics of it. The RRR skips are well-built and affordable. Start messing around with the handle/steel formula and you'll be looking at $100+ which just isn't necessary for a slipjoint. Just my opinion. Happy Labor Day!
i agree, considering most slipjoints have 1095 carbon or 420hc/440a stainless at best (unless you get into the like $150+ bokers and some custom slippies) D2 is a fairly significant upgrade in edge retention from either. it’s also technically not stainless but won’t rust easily like 1075/1095. D2 is also available fairly cheaply and is about the best edge retention you can get even including more expensive knives (unless you get say a magnacut boker) even the expensive bokers really only come in 440c/n690/o1 tool steel.
Looks like another good RRR! I do like there burlap micarta. And the blade selection and shapes reminds me of my Roper sowbelly! Thank you for sharing JB!! Hope you have today off work. Happy Larbor day brother!
Hope you have a good Labor Day and I definitely hope your not having to Labor on Labor Day. Thanks for sharing bud!👊🏻Not to shabby for a RRR knife it seems to be done pretty well
i wish the RRR barlow wasn’t sold out everywhere, i love spearpoints and barrows. i just recently grabbed one of the lockstocks and that gunstock handle is beautiful
They should have named this knife "Chunky" and thrown in a Chunky candy treat! Mine will be here later this week from Chicago Knife works {@ $12.23 cheaper than SMKW}. Thanks for showing. Have an awesome Labor Day Celebration!
Thanks for watching! You must have got it on sale! List price at CKW is 57.31 and add shipping it comes out to 63.75. Only about a dollar difference with my free shipping code.
I just won a RR from the SMKW NKD GAW! That's a lot of acronyms haha. I have no idea which one it is, they didn't say, but I'm looking forward to finding out once it gets here! Thanks for the look at this one JB! 👍
For some reason, I lost a little interest in the RRR line when they added the modern flippers. I will still pick one up from time to time, but something changed for me when they started adding the modern stuff. This one looks decent even though I prefer the single bladed versions. Thanks JB
The slip joints have my attention way more than the modern knives do! There are a couple of RRR traditional models coming that I know I want to get my hands on!! Thanks so much Tim!
my brotha jb, were you ever into/like case or buck style slip joints , i personally owned 1/kizer n not too familiar with this style here , blades are cool if you into them , nice indeed , keep up the hard work = play hard , lol, lol, talk soon my bro > tom !
@@BigRedEDC yea case factory used to be here in pa or still is , not sure on that ?, lol, n never owned a buck yet , cool brotha n i am tracking down a 90's camo pattern boonie cover for trade/swap/barter if you know anybody out there n trying to find a 4 max scout blade on the secondary market via trade/swap/barter if you can help me any ?, thanks brotha > tom !
Rough Ryder for super budget and good value. Rosecraft Blades for high quality good value. Ohio River Jack for slightly higher end. GEC for classic quality soup joints and Jack Wolf for high end premium!!
I like RR slippies. I have no finger nails so nail nicks are a no-go. I need something where I can pinch the blade. I’m interested in RR’s Apta series in vg10. But overall a nice looking knife, thanks for sharing 👍
I wish the spey was a sheep's foot because I think that would be a great combination of blades. I guess I will stick with my case sowbelly and RRR #8 common stockman.

Happy LABOR day ❤
Happy Labor Day brother!
Very cool! That's a bazar spey blade haha. Great looking knife and excellent video JB!
I like stubby....lol!
THAT'S NICE FOR THE POCKET REALLY 😊
You bet!
Interesting shaped blades doesn't look like they would create hotspots in use, decent size for the UK market.
Not too bad at all Lewis!
Happy Labor Day. Good video 👍. Thank you for sharing 👏
Happy Labor Day Justin!
I do always like when they use the burlap micarta. Thick is the RRR way!
Does seem that way Bill!
Very nice.
Thanks Mike! Happy Labor Day!
I still dont have any RR knives and for the prices, im not sure why. Maybe it's time.
They are great value knives Nate!

I'm a big fan of the stockman pattern and this take on it looks really neat to me. I'd carry this one any day! Cheers, my friend!
Very good David
I love that knife! I like how the pins and badge compliments the brown micarta.
Very well done for sure!

I like the sowbelly pattern. It would look even better without the brass. Great video, JB!
Thanks Jon!!

Lol you hit it on the head lol that thing is heavy lol 😊
Yeah...not too bad though!
Always thought they were cool one day I’ll get back to my collection and add one great video jb
I hope you do my friend!
A hefty little sowbelly. two droppoint blades instead of a sheepsfoot, i like the sheepsfoot blades. But overall a good edc traditional. Thank you JB.
It's a stout knife for sure Jeroen!
Man i like a good spey blade great video man 👍
This one is kinda cool! Thanks David!
Dig a good RRR! Hope you get the day off!
Thanks radar! Yes sir I do!!
I can’t carry that tank 😊
Weighty but not that bad!

Really digging this one
Awesome!!
I'm not sure why they would eliminate the sheepsfoot from a stockman pattern. It is one of the best parts and they kept the spey?!
Make it their own kinda like the kayak
The back spring looks real good. When ever I see a nail nick with a match strike it reminds me of an eyelash. Thanks for showing it to us JB. 👍🔪
It does look like it...lol
Happy labor day always enjoy these knives
Happy Labor Day Kevin!
I can’t wait to see what you have to say then I’ll tell you what I think!!!!!😊
LOL....right on Pete!
That sow belly is a hog! Love it. You know you have it in your pocket.
Oh it will definitely be in the pocket!

This one is pretty interesting, I like the stubby haha.
Glad you like it Pedro
I like it. Oxmyx has spoken.
Lol...right on!!!
That knife needs some of that red bone. It's great, but that material would be fantastic. Isn't this a Stockman?
Yep...Sowbelly Stockman
@@BigRedEDC Of course. I only carried one for 20 years, Mine is a Case with jigged brown bone. Dad's was straight.
Rough Ryder rules
Some good knives
👍🏻🔥
I like this old-timey version of the stockman with the drunken angles on the blades. It looks good, but RRRs are too pricey for this cowpoke. Lol.
Thanks for checking it out Su!
Snub Nose Spey
LOL....yes it is!
